Arven glanced up from the dishes when he heard a door slam and feet pounding down the stairs, he dropped the rag he was holding when he saw Julian make a beeline for the door with tears streaming down his face.
“Julian what's wrong?” He called out worriedly as he quickly approached his brother who had stopped just in front of the door.
“Julian?” He prompted gently and his heart broke when his brother finally turned to look at him and he saw the heartbroken look on his face.
“I messed up Arv” He whimpered as his shoulders shook with each poorly suppressed sob and Arven’s eyes softened as he gently pulled him into a hug.
“I’m sure that’s not true” He mumbled softly as he gently ran his fingers through Julian’s hair who sobbed into his shoulder.
“It is” He whimpered but Arven just gently shushed him as he rocked in place to try and calm him down. He glanced towards the stairs when he heard them creek and saw Logan staring at them from the stairwell with a concerned look on his face.
“What happened?” He asked but Arven just shook his head as he returned his attention to Julian. Logan bit his lip before he made his way down the rest of the stairs and quietly joined in on the hug.
