Epilogue, did it matter?
So with that the war was over, and the Hogwarts class of 1978 and 79 were dead.
they should have lived, they should have lived, they should have lived.
A group of lively 17 year olds should not have been forced to fight, should not have been forced to die.
What did they die for? Did it matter?
Maybe
They won, they didn't live to see the war end.
They saved the world, they would never know.
But their children lived, their children got to be adults, they got to live in a peaceful world, was it worth it?
Maybe
They all died in the end, but it mattered, because before they died they lived.
Before they died they loved each other, does that mean it mattered?
They saved the fucking world, did it matter?
It mattered, it mattered, it mattered, they mattered, they mattered, they mattered, right?
Does it matter?
We’ll all die in the end.
