They'll All Die In The End

Marlene died in the summer of 1980, a year after Regulus, she was only 19 years old. In true Marls fashion, she went out fighting, and she didn't go easy. She had never planned to go into battle that day, she was spying, with Mary, on a small death eater gathering, not even a formal meeting, it should have been an easy mission, they should have been home before dinner.
It had been a simple mistake really, but it had cost her her life
She had simply slipped, quickly caught herself, but let out an involuntary gasp, it wasn't loud, but by some stroke of bad luck, Rodolphus Lestrange had heard it.
Marlene couldn't have told you exactly how it had happened, even if she had gotten the chance to but all of a sudden they were dueling. Mary and Marlene were both excellent fighters, and even better when they were together, but they never stood a chance against 10 fully grown men.
Yaxley fired a curse at Mary, and Marlene had jumped in front of it without a second thought.
The curse cut her stomach open, and in the split second it took the death eaters to figure out what had happened, Mary had disapparated them.
Even still, Marlene was determined to fight, she did not want to die, she wanted to stay here, she wanted to win the war, she was going to propose to Mary as soon as all of this was over. But she never got the chance, she couldn't fight anymore, she died 2 days later.
Still she didn't regret what she had done, she had no hesitation, not about Mary, her Mary, her girlfriend, would have been her wife, the love of her life, it was worth it to save her, at least, it seemed so at the time.
But it didn't matter, they'll all die in the end.
