Well that was unexpected, wasn’t it?

“Zayneee!”

Louis is grinning ear to ear when he steps into their dormitory.

“Oh my god, you guys totally snogged.”

“How did you know?”, Louis pouts.

“Just look in the mirror darling.”

Louis just does that. He really does look different. His cheeks are covered in a deep pink and his eyes are literally crinkling.

He looks truly happy.

“I think I’m in love.” Damn, I really am.

“No shit, Sherlock.”, Zayn answers but can’t help the smile that’s widening in his face. He’s just happy for his best friend to have someone like Harry in his life.

“Go to sleep now and dream of your new little boyfriend.”

“He’s not my boyfriend.”, Louis grumbles but lies down and closes his eyes.

“Not yet.”, Zayn replies.

We’ll see. Who knows if Harry wants me as his boyfriend anyway. I hope so. And I hope we can repeat the cuddling session. And the kiss. Maybe more…

Ok time to sleep.

The next morning, Louis is a bit anxious. He will see Harry at breakfast but he doesn’t know, how he will act around him.

They didn’t exactly talk about that yesterday, being occupied by other thoughts and actions.

“Zayyyyn, what do I do if he doesn’t address me at all? Or if he acts like nothing happened? I don’t know how I would react to that.”

“Don’t worry Lou, you’ll see, he’s not like that. I don’t think, he’ll ignore you after yesterday. Let’s go!”

They walk to the Great Hall just to meet Harry and Liam in front of it. Louis’ sorrow is destroyed immediately when Harry spots him.

The Gryffindor starts smiling wide and walks over to them to give Louis a hug.

“Hi curly! Missed you.”

“Missed you too, boo.”

Their greeting is annoyingly interrupted by Zayn speaking up.

“Snogged once and already married. I can’t believe you. ‘Oh no Zayn, what if he ignores me? He’s so perfect, I'm so in  love with him, I want to start a family and adopt five children.’”

Liam starts laughing and Louis blushes.

“I didn’t say that!”

“Did you really think, I’d ignore you?”

“I don’t know, I just didn’t have any idea, what to expect. I mean, we only had one date and I’m me and you’re you, so...”

“So what? I think, you’re perfect. How could I not talk to you? You don’t know how special you are, you’re gorgeous in and out, Lou.”

“Do you really think that?”

Harry nods and both of them smile at each other while holding their eye contact.

“How sweet. Now make out already.”

“Shut up, Zayn.”, Louis replies.

The boys sit down, joining Niall, Ginny and Luna. Seeing Ginny, Louis feels the need to sit a bit closer to Harry.

That one lays his arms around the smaller boy and pulls him even closer.

Content, Louis smiles at the others.

Ginny just raises his eyebrows at Harry. “You finally got him? Took you long enough. I can't listen to you fangirling anymore.”

“Shh, not so loud!” Now, Harry is the one blushing and Louis giggles.

“No, but really, it was disgustingly cute and annoying at the same time. You were always drooling at each other without noticing the other's feelings. How did you not see this coming?”

Louis and Harry just look at each other and smile. Louis could actually get lost in his eyes. They remind him a bit of the forbidden forest in the morning, when the sunlight breaks through the branches and everything gets flooded in light.

“What did I miss? Why the hell are Louis and Harry eating each other through their eyes? When did that happen?”, Niall speaks.

Louis explains, how they got to the point where they are now.

“I totally called that though.”, Niall throws in.

Luna agrees. “Everyone could see it. Even the fireflies at the Yule Ball were quicker than you two.”

Later, the two students make their way down to Hagrid’s. They decided to visit the puffskeins without the others today so they could have some time alone.

“So, what do you think about right now?”, Louis starts their conversation. Harry has been a bit quiet and looked like he was in deep thoughts on their way out of the castle.

Also, he is grabbing Louis’ hand and squeezing it from time to time and as much as Louis likes holding it, it's starting to hurt.

“Uh, I’d like to ask something but I’m not sure, how you’ll react.”

Louis stops and turns to stand in front of Harry. He lifts his hand to touch the taller boy’s cheek.

“You can ask me anything, don’t worry about it. Whatever it is, I’ll try to answer.”

“Thanks Lou.”, Harry says smiling.

“So, what is it?” Louis asks, being curious now.

“It’s about us… I wondered if you’d want to be my boyfriend? I know, we don’t know each other that long but I really like you and I’m sure about wanting to call you that.”

Harry looks so pretty standing there and asking him that. How can Louis be so lucky? Not even answering yet, Louis can’t do anything else but kissing the boy in front of him.

It’s a really sweet kiss, Louis holding Harry’s cheek and his waist and Harry laying his arms around his neck.

“So, what do you say?”, Harry asks, blushing.

“I say yes, you idiot.”

“Perfect, now kiss me you fool.”

And that’s exactly what they do for the next few minutes, until they remember that they wanted to visit the puffskeins.

Laughing they continue their way down, holding hands and not caring if anyone sees them together.

This evening, lying in bed, Louis remembers all the stuff, he went through this school year. Starting with the whole Hannah-thing and ending with him being in love with Harry, a boy, he can’t help but think:
