3 – Quidditch
The first months continue like this, school, regular visits at Hagrid’s and becoming close friends with the four boys.
Louis learns that Liam and Harry both have to attend Quidditch trainings several days a week. The two of them and Ginny Weasley, Harry’s best friend, are chasers and try to improve their skills for the first match of the season, Gryffindor against Ravenclaw.
That’s why they are currently talking about some strategies at the breakfast table. In the morning. Far too motivated for Louis’ liking.
“Come on Harry, you could easily beat every single one of the Ravenclaw chasers.”, Ginny answers when the curly boy expresses his concerns.
She ruffles through his hair and Louis wishes he’d be this close with Harry. If he thinks about it, Ginny could be his girlfriend all he knows.
Weirdly, he doesn’t really like that thought and to hide his morning grumpiness, because that’s exactly what this is, he bites into his sausage.

Thursday is a fun day. Not only because he can sleep longer but also because his first lesson for the day is divination with Niall.
Next to Niall being a real fungi (pun totally intended), Trelawney truly is a ridiculous person.
Reading your future out of teacups is quite something and if he trusts the Hufflepuffs judgement, he will have quite the ups and downs the following school year.
Everything he could see in Niall’s cup was some kind of ship. Or maybe it was a taco.
“Oh no, you will be sailing away from us but you’ll be happy because it will be on a ship full of tacos.”
After having to explain the word taco, Niall has such a giggling fit that Trelawney accused him of destroying the aura of the room.
That certainly didn’t help at all which is why both of them arrive full on laughing at the meeting point with the others to have their occasional trip to the puffskeins.
Harry threw him a dimpled smile and Louis told them the whole story of Trelawney being herself.
Feeding the puffskeins, Niall still can’t hold his laughter because one of them is trying to eat his boogies.
Zayn, the nice guy he is, asks Liam and Harry about their progress in training what leads to Liam giving him a speech about the team skills of the Gryffindors.
Louis still can’t figure out his dislike on Ginny being so close with Harry. He just thinks that they would absolutely not be a good couple.
She is too harsh for Harry who definitely needs someone more funny and who likes cuddles.
To cuddle Harry is a privilege and not for everyone to do.
What the hell am I thinking?
Staring at Harry in his own little world, Louis needs Niall to tap his shoulder to realize, Liam asked him about his favourite Quidditch position.
“Uh, chaser. Definitely.”
And he blushes again. Great, transfiguring myself in a tomato again. Why is it always me?
Zayn is the only one looking slightly suspicious though and Louis just shrugs with his shoulders and joins the others walking back to the castle.

Attending a Quidditch match was never something Louis really loved like some other students.
But now with Harry and Liam playing and Niall and Zayn sitting next to him the game could actually be fun.
“Hey you two, all dressed up for team Gryffindor today?”, Niall asks and Louis looks at himself being proud that he found a red-golden scarf he could wear.
“Hey Niall! I see, you are really supporting them today.”, Louis answered because how could he not when the Hufflepuff apparently lend the famous lion-hat from Luna Lovegood.
This guy is ridiculous.
Sitting down next to each other, the three of them talk until Madame Hooch starts the game.
Louis watches Harry flying outside of the tower followed by Liam and Ginny and the rest of the team joining the Ravenclaws.
The game starts pretty good with Gryffindor taking the lead and Harry really just nailing the whole thing.
It does get rougher when a Ravenclaw is hit by a bludger. After that, the beaters dressed in blue show no weakness.
That leads to the three Gryffindor chasers being in a dangerous position and having to escape more than score.
Louis gets more and more anxious which is apparently a valid reaction because maybe twenty minutes into the game one bludger flies straight behind Harry.
He can’t see the aggressive ball and that’s why it hits him in the back.
Louis actually screams at that because Harry is currently falling down out of probably thirty metres height.
Niall is the one speaking out of the three of them. ”Holy shit. That will be a visit to the hospital wing.”
Louis doesn’t understand Niall’s chill tone because he himself is panicking a bit.
“Oh my god, that must have hurt so bad. He just fell from his broomstick hit by a bloody bludger. How are you not upset?”
“Don’t worry too much, that isn’t the first time in the hospital wing for Harry. He will be perfectly fine by tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow? Yeah right, hospital wing. I am going there now. You can stay here and watch. I will be the decent friend here.”
Louis runs off to the castle and just hears Niall snickering something sounding like “decent friend, sure mate” to Zayn when he leaves.
Whatever he wanted to express with that, Louis can’t concentrate on because Harry is hurt which is not acceptable. It’s Harry we’re talking about.
Arriving at the hospital wing, he finds the curly one in one of the beds with Madame Pomfrey rushing out of the room.
“Harry, oh my god how are you?” Louis sits down next to him.
“Lou? What are you doing here, didn’t you watch the game?” Harry asks him and Louis can’t not blush at the nickname.
“Of course I watched.”
Harry smiles at that.
“But you fell and I couldn’t just stay there knowing you must be hurt pretty badly. How do you feel?”
“Well, it does hurt a lot but I had worse so it’s going to be fine. It’s nice though that you came here.”
“Yeah? Didn’t I overreact a bit? I tend to do that sometimes.”
“No, it’s fine. I’m happy you’re here.”
They both smile at each other at that and Louis tries to distract Harry from the pain a bit talking about Harry’s love for creatures and his stories about them.
Time passes quickly and a grinning Niall, leading the rest of the boys and Ginny into the room, announces the win for the Gryffindor team.
Because of the loud cheers of all of them at that they have to leave the hospital wing quickly to ensure the wounded ones some quiet.
Harry pouts a bit at that which Louis finds pretty endearing. He waves at him and joins the other boys at dinner.
Later in bed, he thinks that the day did turn out good at the end even considering the accident. But talking with Harry has been kind of great.
If you ask Louis, he is a really nice person and really charming. And funny too. Laughing with Harry is fun. And talking. And just sitting next to each other really.
Louis wonders how it would be if he could just hug him every time they see each other how Harry and Ginny do.
Harry certainly is a great hugger. Gorgeous. I wonder how his lips-
OMG. I totally thought about kissing Harry. A boy. Harry the boy. The cute boy Harry with totally kissable lips.
Louis throws his head into his pillow because WHAT?
Great timing to turn out gay when you just found a nice group of friends and the boy you like probably being totally straight.
At least that explains his dislike against Ginny.
Hating his own head for being like it is, Louis tries not to think about the whole situation too much and sleeps.
That turns out to be working okay. He did dream about Harry but it was just both of them talking, nothing worse.
