December 21st

Yesterday, Will had saved a kid from cancer. He had had to use every last drop of his magical liquid but it was worth it. The kid, Callum, had been asleep for hours but today he woke up and Nico had taken him for a tour of camp so Will was left in the infirmary by himself.

He had reorganized the medical cabinet and straightened up all the cotes. He tried to take a nap but he felt the need to go outside. So, he grabbed his coat and snow boots and walked out of the Big House.

There was a good foot or two of snow covering the ground and it was cloudy over head and snow was slowly drifting down to nestle on top of it's friends on the ground. Will walked on top of the soft and let his feet guide him wherever they wanted to go.

He walked around camp, passing the combat arena and the lake, all the way to the cabins. Will felt himself walk towards the empty Hecate cabin and so he ended up opening the door to cabin 20 and stepping inside.

It was dark inside the cabin and since Will was the son of the Sun god, his night vision was terrible.

"Ah, Will Solace," a voice greeted form the darkness.

A green glow illuminated a goddess dressed in a long robe and seemed to emanate magic. She had black cascading hair and the green glow seemed to be coming from her skin.

"I am Hecate," the goddess explained. "I have called you here because I need you to find something for me."

Will blinked a few times to just make sure he wasn't going crazy. Nope, a goddess was really in front of him and she had a job for him. Actually, that last part wasn't very surprising.

"What do you want me to do?" Will asked, not really knowing what to say.

"I will send you to a place to find a creature that is fuzzy, round, and glows in the dark," Hecate explained. "It's called an Adoraburr."

"Okay," Will agreed. "Where am I-"

"Good, come back soon."

"Wait, what?"

Will was suddenly engulfed in light and the room and the goddess disappeared and he was but in a place that felt darker than the room, even though a sort of moonlight shone above him.

He was in the Underworld.

Will looked around frightfully. He could barley see anything but as he turned in a full circle, he saw a bunch of little lights in the distance. Will didn't know what he could trust in the Underworld, but light was all ways a good sign.

He ran towards the light and as he got closer he saw what must have been Adoraburrs. There were hundreds of them and they were different colors and were indeed, glowing. Will put out a hand and one immediately jumped onto his hand. It felt like he was holding a cloudy but it had the same weight and realness of holding a pet. It was completely round, like a little tennis ball, and he never wanted to let the creature go.

"Oh gods," sighed a man behind Will. He turned and found the god Hades standing with a hand on his face. "You're not supposed to be here yet."

"I'm so sorry," Will hurried an apollogy. "Hecate sent me to-"

"I know what she did," Hades groaned. "It'll be okay, I can fix this."

There was a snap and suddenly Will sat up in his bed. He rubbed his eyes and saw that it was still midday outside. In front of him sat two boxes, one with holes poked in and one wrapped in purple paper. Will grabbed the box with the holes and saw an adorable creature inside. He needed to give it to Hazel.

He didn't know why he was so sure that the creature was for Hazel, and he didn't even know where it came from, but he knew it was from some god or goddess and it was for Secret Santa.

Suddenly the door to his cabin opened and Nico came inside.

"I've been looking for you," Nico told him with a smile creeping onto his face. Nico always appreciated when Will took a break form the infirmary and it sometimes made Will want to take more time off if just to make Nico smile like that.

"Yeah, I think I just took a nap," Will explained. There was something else he did but he couldn't remember and it didn't really matter.

"I just finished giving Callum a tour," Nico told him as he kicked his boots off.

"How is he?"

Nico crawled onto Will's bed and snuggled up next to him. "He's good."

"Good," Will kissed the top of his boyfriend's head and they just laid there all afternoon.
