Snape's choice
Snape POV
'potter is bonded to the dark Lord ......' I think as I stare at his ring. ' that's why he isn't responding.. nekos need to be with mates otherwise they lose the will to function.' I remember reading that.
'potter is useless like this...wait! If he is bonded to the dark Lord then that means he can't fight him.' I realize ' that's why he bound him in the first place!'
I then hear knocks at my door and the following "Snape?" From Dumbledore
'he can't know about this!?!' I panic before laying potter back down and closing his eyes. I reapply the glamour and tuck him in when the door opens. I quickly leave potter's room which he notices.
' ya, Severus. I see you were with Harry then is he awake?' he asked
'no I thought I heard something but it was nothing.' I answered as clear as always.
' that's a shame.' he started ' I informed everyone of the details of last night, hopefully he will wake up before summer break.' he finished looking in at potter
He didn't do anything else so I should be in the clear. ' is that all?' I ask slightly annoyed he's still here.
'yes quite. Good evening severus.' he says before leaving
As soon as the door shuts, I make preparations. I write two letters, one to a colleague who can replace me and the other to the dark Lord. I send both off and then pack my things.
A few hours pass, everything is set and ready to go. I walk into potter's room to him sitting up again. I guide him up and to the floo in my rooms. I then take him though with me saying ' riddle Manor' as we left Hogwarts for good.
