Moony
Regulus was sitting on the couch reading when he suddenly heard the doorbell ring. Regulus looked around before yelling "I'll get it!" and putting his book down to go get the door. Sirius ran downstairs and kept over the couch pushing Regulus out of the way while saying "no the fuck you won't!!" and pulling the door open. Regulus saw Remus standing at the door, he was wearing a sweater and a pair of baggy jeans. Sirius immediately jumped onto Remus wrapping his arms around Remus's neck and his legs around Remus's waist. Remus swiftly caught Sirius in his arms and readjusted his weight so he wouldn't fall over. Remus laughed a bit. "Did you miss me Pads?" Remus said. "Yes, terribly!" Sirius said, lifting his head away from Remus's neck where he had buried his face. Remus quickly kissed Sirius and then put him back down on the ground.
Suddenly James came around the corner to greet Remus. James gave Remus a small wave and walked over to the group standing at the door. "We've missed you Moony." James said as if that weren't already obvious. "I can see that." Remus said, looking down at Sirius who was wrapped around him. Euphemia came walking out of the kitchen and gave Remus a soft smile. "Hey Effie," Remus said, trying to wave at her with the hand he was holding his suitcase in because Sirius had practically immobilized the other one. "Hey Remus, I made you some brownies if you get hungry." Euphemia said, motioning to the kitchen. "Thank you Effie, you're so kind." Remus said with a smile.
-Later that day in the library-
"Hey Remus, can you help me reach a book? I'm too short to reach it." Regulus asked. Remus looked up from his book at Regulus. "Sure, where is it?" Remus asked, standing up from the table he was sitting at. Regulus led Remus to the book, it was a shelf or two above where Regulus could reach if he stood on his tiptoes. Remus Reached up and got the book down, looking at the title before handing it to Regulus. "The Picture Of Dorian Gray? I love that book." Remus said with a smile on his face. "Ya, I've read it a few times, I love it too!" Regulus said, smiling even bigger than Remus was.
The pair walked back to the table talking about the books they were reading and sat down to read. Remus and Regulus sat there reading for hours, enjoying each other's company. They only left the library when Euphemia came in and told them that dinner was ready.
-Later that night-
Regulus slowly crept out of his bedroom. He took a deep breath before turning, to walk down the hall towards James's room. Suddenly he stopped dead in his tracks when his eyes met Remus's. "where are you going?" Remus whispered to Regulus, trying not to wake anyone up. Regulus panicked for a moment, should he tell Remus? On one hand if he told him he might tell Sirius, but on the other hand if he didn't tell him he and James would have to work twice as hard to keep it a secret. "uh, the library." Regulus said in a panic. "Oh good, we can walk together, that's where I'm headed now." Remus said with a smile. 'fuck' Regulus thought to himself. He now had two options; go with it and leave James confused, and likely concerned about what happened to him, or he could come clean and pray that Remus wouldn't tell Sirius. Regulus decided to take the risk. He couldn't stand to leave James wondering where he was, besides even if he did lie now Remus was probably going to find out soon anyway. Remus was too smart not to figure it out. Regulus took a deep breath and closed his eyes as he blurted out in a hushed tone of voice, "I lied, I'm not going to the library." Remus raised one eyebrow in confusion, "then, where are you going?" he asked, wondering why Regulus would lie about something like that. "James's room, we're dating, but I don't want Sirius finding out about it yet so I've been sneaking into his room every night and sneaking back in the morning." Regulus said, looking down at the floor with his head in his hands. 'How did Remus find out in a day, what Sirius hadn't figured out for a week, and still was oblivious to?' Regulus thought to himself. "Ok, don't worry, your secret is safe with me." Remus said as he walked down the stairs towards the library.
Regulus quickly walked into James's room, shutting the door behind him. "oh hey love," James said in a hushed voice "what's wrong, you look shaken up." "Remus knows now." Regulus blurted out looking over at James who was sitting in his bed. James quickly cast a charm on the room so that they could talk as loud as they wanted without anyone hearing. "How did you tell him?" James asked as Regulus walked over and sat on his bed. "Well, I was in the hallway and when I turned to start walking he was right in front of me. At first I tried to lie and say that I was going to the library but that's where he was going and I didn't want to leave you here waiting for me so I just blurted it out." Regulus said. he was talking faster than James could keep up with this late at night. James simply hugged Regulus and quickly they fell asleep.
-The next morning-
Regulus woke up at about 9AM. He was still laying on top of James's chest as he was the night before. 'Shit, Sirius is already awake' Regulus thought to himself as he rolled over climbing out of James's bed. This sudden movement woke James up as well. James rubbed his eyes and fixed his glasses. He quickly checked the time horror filling his eyes as he looked over at Regulus. "shit, how are we gonna get you out of here?" James whispered. Regulus gave James a look of terror. suddenly an idea popped into James's head. "Remus!" He whispered as he started to walk towards the door. When James got into the hallway he quickly walked to Remus's room.
"Remus, I need your help." James said as he flung the door open. Remus was sitting in bed reading. Without looking up Remus said, "I assume this is about Regulus." 'ya, we overslept and I need your help distracting Sirius so I can get him out safely." James said with a pleading look on his face. "Fine, but you have to get Effie to let me have some more of those amazing brownies, she put a limit on how many I could have after I ate a whole pan and threw up." Remus said, slowly getting out of bed. "deal," James said without hesitation.
Remus walked downstairs and walked up behind Sirius. Sirius was sitting on the couch as usual. He was wearing a pair of black Pajama pants with stars all over them and a black T-Shirt that had a picture of the grim reaper on it. He had his hair down but he had put part of it up into a messy bun with his wand holding the bun together. "Come with me" Remus said to Sirius, pulling him by the collar of his shirt. Sirius quickly said, "Ok, where are we going, Amour?" "The library, I want to read you something." Remus explained, letting go of Sirius's shirt.
James quickly got Regulus out of his room now that the coast was clear. Regulus was glad that he could trust Remus even though they didn't know each other that well. He was glad he had found a new friend that he could trust this much and glad that his brother had found a partner that was so trustworthy.
