Skip to the end of the day
It's finally the end of the day and I had so much fun! Even more than I expected! Maybe the muggle world isn't as bad as I expected it to be! Me and Mina-chan created a little group of friends which consisted of me, Mina-chan, Denki, Eijiro-kun, Sero, and Bakugo. Though I wouldn't really consider myself to be Bakugo's friend after what had happened earlier that day, I guess I'll let it slide what happened earlier in the quirk assessment test.
Bakugo definitely does not want me to be his friend, but seeing as my very existence annoys him, then so be it. Annoying him gives me great satisfaction, therefore if I must become his friend and stick to him everyday just to annoy him then so be it. To be honest, I don't even know how I managed to become friends with him or how he even got into our friend group. I guess though that it was Kirishima who dragged him into our group.
Mina wants to call our friend group something. I suggested that we call ourselves something cool like the golden squad, but she said that she wanted something even cooler. Upon voting who the leader of the group should be we all agreed it to be Bakugo. I only agreed because his reaction to becoming the leader was funny. He really hated it for some reason. Oh, I also forgot to mention. He literally hates every single one of us.
It's come to the point that it's so hilarious, I don't even mind the nicknames that he gave us. Although I'd prefer he'd change my nickname from bitch to something else. But I guess it's fine, at least I'm not racoon eyes. Sorry Mina-chan. But going back to the original topic. In the end we all voted on Bakusquad or the Bakugosquad. At first I didn't really like it, but seeing as no one else had any rejections I just decided to go with the flow.
"Oi, (N/n)-chan! You coming or what?!" Mina yelled at me as she waited for me to finish grabbing coffee from the vending machine.
"Yeah, in a minute!" I yelled back
Quickly grabbing the coffee, I immediately jogged to catch up with Mina-chan and the other's who were already waiting for me at the school gate.
"You know, you guys didn't have to wait for me. I could just catch up to you guys." I said with a laugh.
"It's no problem, (N/n). Of course we'd wait for a pretty girl like you!" Denki said flirtingly
"Oh, shut it! Hahahahaha!" I replied back
"But in all seriousness! (N/n) is literally queen goals!" Mina chimed in
"How can you say that, Mina? I'm not fit for that title." I laughed back, secretly nervous
"Seriously girl! Have you looked in a mirror?! Have you seen the way you look?! Like damn girl!” She laughed
“Oh c’mon I don’t even look that pretty!” I laughed with her.
As we waited for the rest of the Bakuquad members we continued conversing with one another. When we were complete we began to make our way towards somewhere where we have no idea. We paid no mind to it and only found enjoyment and comfort in each other's company rather than worrying about where we were. Now realizing it, we should have really discussed where we were going.
"Oi, extras!" Bakugo yelled at us as he began to pick up his pace, prompting all of us to fasten our movements to catch up with him.
Replying to him with a groan, "Slow down! And what do you want?"
"Where the fuck are we headed, you extras!" We all stopped as the realization dawned on us.
Looking at each other we all began to laugh at our stupidity, well except for Bakugo of course. He was too busy yelling about how he wants to go home instead of wasting his time on us. Normally I wouldn't laugh at my own stupidity, in fact I'd be greatly ashamed of it, but however everyone's laugh was so contagious that I just couldn't help myself.
"Shut up, you extras and tell me where we are!"
"Mina-chan, w-we should have really dis- cussed where we're going!" I laughed genuinely.
"Yeah, we should have, but a-aren't the unplanned outgoings the most fun part! I want you to experience city life, (N/n)! I bet you don't get to experience this from where you come from! Hahahahahaha!" Mina laughed
"Of course I wouldn't get this from where I live." I smiled
"Speaking of where you live, (Y/n)-chan. Where do you live?" Kirishim spoke out as a few manly tears from laughing flowed down from his eyes.
“Well, I just moved here recently from the rural part of Japan.” I replied back, calming down from our sudden outburst of laughter. “My stomach hurts from laughing too much.”
“Same here…” Mina agreed with me.
“Hey, (N/n)?” I turned my attention to Denki-kun.
“Hmm?” I hummed in response.
“Is it your first time coming here to the city part of Japan?”
“No, not really. But it’s my first time in this part of Japan though.” I responded
Time skip to the next day
Hanging out and getting lost with my new found friends and exploring Japan was probably one of the most, if not, the most memorable moments of my life. I had never never felt more free in my life. I had never laughed as much as I had that day. I had never felt like I was having as much fun as I had that day. It's a new found feeling that I craved, I needed, and I wanted. And I’m determined to keep it at all costs.
All the happy moments that I had prior to that day could not compare. Though I was still adjusting to my new life, I could already tell that I wasn’t going to miss my old life as much as I thought I would. It seems like humans aren't that bad afterall, well atleast so far. Just like wizards and witches, some are terrible, some bad and good. Some selfish, greedy, prideful, hateful, but there’s also a silver lining, some have hearts of gold. Or at least that's what I think…
'I wonder if what I’ve been told growing up is true? I wonder if-'
“Hey, (N/n)-chan?!” Mina had to shake me to snap me out of my train of thoughts.
It was lunch time and we were all sitting in the cafeteria. They were all laughing about something but I didn’t pay attention because my mind strolled off into my thoughts of yesterday’s hangout. Mina that I had faded from their conversation, so she called me out, once, twice, thrice. She wasn’t going to grab my attention as gently as before this time. So she grabbed me by my shoulders, drawing everyone’s attention from our table, then she began to shake me back and forth in a harsh manner. Finally snapping out from my daydream.
“You alright, (L/n)? You were gone for a minute?” Sero-kun said worriedly.
“I’m fine.” I rubbed the back of my neck in embarrassment, “Was just thinking about some things, I guess I just got lost in my train of thoughts.” I laughed it off.
“Then don’t get lost in them stupid bitch!” An annoying person spoke
“And what are you going to do about it, Bakuhoe?” I teased him with a smirk.
“Why you little bitch!” He immediately tried to attack me, but was regrettably held back by Eijiro-kun.
“Could you not try to tease Bakubro next time, (N/n). You know how he is-'' Eiijro-kun laughed as Bakuhoe was directing little explosions at his face.
“Oh, but you know how fun it is for me to tease him.” I played along as I chuckled.
“That’s so true, (N/n)-chan. Who wouldn’t want to tease Bakugo?” Denki played along too.
“Same here!” Mina-chan cherrily joined in on the fun.
“You guys really want to get killed by Bakugo, don’t you?” Sero sighed.
“He wouldn’t be able to kill me though.” I laughed, “Alright time for a change of topic, so how are your guys food?” I questioned as I laughed and took a bite out of the roast beef that I got from the cook hero: Lunch Rush.
“The natto and okra on top of the white rice, tastes so good! And it’s so cheap too!”
“Excuse me children, I don’t mean to be rude. I just wanted to ask your opinion on my food.” The cook hero: Lunch Rush suddenly interrupted our conversation.
“Perfect timing, we were just talking about it.” I spoke with a smile
“It tastes so manly!” Kirishima, clenched his fist in a very manly manner
We all in turn laughed at his comment and started to add in our own jokes. I’m not sure if Lunch Rush was annoyed at us for this, but Bakuhoe sure was. After giving our opinions tgo Lunch Rush, he politely left us with a thumbs up and a ‘your welcome’, saying that it’s best if he gets going now because he still needs to ask our students about their opinions regarding his food.
Lunch soon quickly came to an end and our whole class kept buzzing in excitement for our 5th period, Hero’s Basics. I heard apparently from Mina that All Might would be personally teaching our class, although having the world’s top 1 hero teach you how to become a hero is pretty exciting, I wasn’t as much excited as Mina and the others were. I guess, it’s because I didn’t really grow up knowing who All Might was. But that didn’t mean that I wasn’t excited. I am, it’s just that I wasn’t excited to meet the number 1 hero. I was just excited to learn something in the class.
“I am… Normally entering from the door!” A giant man bursted into our classroom as he held onto the door frame and leaned forward like a little school girl.
‘There’s nothing normal about that.’ I thought as I let a little laugh pass my lips.
“It’s All Might!” Denki squealed in excitement as he blushed and clenched both of his fists on top of his desk.
“He’s awesome! He really is a teacher here!” Kirishima yelled out and I swear that you could have seen that he was on the verge of letting go of a few manly tears.
“That’s his silver age costume. Kero.” Asui croaked
“He’s so impressive, I’m getting goosebumps!” A boy with a large tailed said
“It’s him! It really is him!” Mina-chan fangirled
“I will be teaching hero basics.” All Might's deep voice boomed, “To lay your foundation, all types of training will be done. It has the most units too.” He turned around to grab something from his pocket, “With this!” He held out a card dramatically, the word ‘BATTLE’ on it.
“Battle!” Bakuhoe screamed out with a deadly smile.
“Training?” Sweat excreted out of Midoriya’s forehead.
“Along with that… Is this!” All Might pointed out to the moving walls, “The costumes made according to your requests and quirk registration you sent in.”
Most of the class started to scream out in excitement. However I was not a part of this group, I mean yes. It is very cool to have the world’s top 1 hero teaching you class, but I guess I just wasn’t a big fan of All Might. ‘Perhaps this was because of the fact that I didn’t grow up in the muggle realm? Maybe…’ I thought.
When I snapped out of my trance, that was actually, only my train of thoughts. The only thing that I heard from my class at that moment were, oh's, yes’, and yeah’s, they were all cheering for the number 1 hero in excitement, up until All Might had to scold them from shouting too much. Denki, Eijiro-kun, and all of the other students who stood up from their seats because of their excitement, slumped back down into their seats with embarrassed and shy expressions. I giggled at all of their antics.
“Once you change, meet me at Ground Beta.” All Might said as he walked out of the classroom and headed towards where I assume Ground Beta is.
“Yes sensei!” The class roared
Without waiting for any further instructions we quickly made our way to the walls that pulled out without magic, grabbing the briefcases that held our class number. Standing in front of briefcases number 21 and pulling it out just like everyone else. My expressions held pure excitement.
“Well this is going to be fun.” I smirked with another intent behind it as I walked towards our lockers.
‘What happened in the lockers, stays in the lockers.’ I thought to myself with a grimace face. Changing in the public lockers wasn’t exactly what I had in mind when I decided to enter the human realm but what can I say, life is just full of interesting surprises. Since it was obvious I wasn’t comfortable changing in front of the other girls, Mina suggested that I change behind the lockers where no one could see me.
“Bless your soul!” I smiled and bowed to Mina gratefully
Walking away from the prying eyes of others, I sighed and looked down onto the many unused benches lined with dust and some broken. The one that looked most promising was extremely dusty so I had to blow it off and wipe it away, when that still hadn’t worked I mumbled a cleaning charm at it and all signs of dirt from the lined up benches were gone with a small poof.
I sat down quietly and eagerly opened up my suitcase, grabbing my hero costume while somewhat internally cringing, ‘If my parents looked at me now, getting all excited over a silly little piece of clothing that they would be furious and disappointed to see me wearing such silly costumes and running around fighting as if this society had anything to do with me.’
I pushed those thoughts aside and stared at my magnificent hero costume in awe. Giving myself a mental pat on the back and thanking whoever created this for how they really captured what I envisioned. My hero costume was very antique and fantasy style, I’ll admit.
Since I have no knowledge about muggle fashion. Like what to wear as a muggle and what to not wear. I chose to go with traditional clothings that I was more familiar with and decided if it wasn’t appropriate then I'll have it changed as easily as that. It was a two piece costume, with a puffy gray skirt filled with ruffles on the left side of it was a emerald green fabric draped on it with a black belt holding it up and a locket sort of charm which I had placed some protective enchantments earlier wrapped around my waist.
For the top of the costume it was a suit which resembled what you'd see old time princes or knights wear, matching the skirt it was also gray in color and had 3 straps and buttons across the chest. It had long sleeves and had a high collar, but what carried the outfit really was the side cloak on my right side, the padding was emerald green but the cloak itself was black. I then paired it with long black socks that stopped just below my knees and brown shoes which looked very vintage. Looking at what was left of the case, I decided against wearing my black large witch hat, knowing full well that if I did my quirk would be exposed to everyone.
‘And what good would that do?’ I questioned myself rhetorically. I quickly put on the costume admiring it in all its glory, it's even better than I imagined as I finished wearing it and popped out behind the lockers only to see that almost everyone was gone, I turned towards the mirror and let out a hum of satisfaction as I observed myself in the reflection. Deciding that staring in the mirror too much would make me become egotistical, so I stopped and walked out of the lockers following behind everyone.
