Hours Before Disaster Strikes…
The country air is blessed with a refreshing smell as they speed down the highway. Pandora behind the wheel, hair swaying as the breeze hits. She’s never felt so free as she does now, not needing to over-stress about work or anything. So free.In fact, very free.
For the past 2 months she has been dating Xenophilius Lovegood and she has never felt happier. Actually, they are on the way now to a party hosted by James Potter, a bored teenager whose parents aren’t home. She doesn’t really know James well but it’s a nice opportunity to get out and, of course, introduce her boyfriend.
“Nervous?”
Xeno looks up at a smiling Pandora. She always looks like an angel. He always told her so.
“Mmm, it’s building up the closer we get, but fine. Yep”.
Pandora turns the music up and holds his hand.
Oh how much he loves her. He loves her so much more than she knows. The way she lights up any room, no matter how dark the room may be.
“Ok well it’s about 20 minutes from here, so you relax”

As the song plays, all the worries spill out and everything is calm. Meeting a whole friend group is obviously going to be nerve-wracking, but not this one. They seem different.

Pandora: hello?
Dorcas: Hey Pands, we have just finished setting up for tonight, how long will you be?
Pandora: oh hey, yeah we are about 10 minutes away, not long now. Don’t worry I know you miss me
Dorcas: yeah yeah, whatever. But please hurry, your brother is a pain in the ass.
Dorcas: wait ‘we’?
Pandora: yes we. I told you my boyfriend is coming. Xenophilius?
Dorcas: oh yeah yeah. Him. Anyway, your brother is fucked up in the head. Send help.
Pandora: Haha, of course, he is. Right, I’m going to actually concentrate on the road now lol,won’t be long!!
Dorcas: cool cool, see ya

They keep on driving down the bending road, through the swaying trees and overlooked by the burning sun. It all seems so sweet and safe, hearing the birds chirp and watching the leaves blow into a mini tornado. Nature always calms Xeno down, brings him peace within.
The car comes to a stop as Pandora pulls up to the mansion.
“After the longest drive in the world, we have arrived”. She falls back into her seat with a relieved smile falling on her face.
