Godric's Hollow 1693
Sleeping in his room inside a farmhouse in old Godric’s Hollow, Thackery Binx wakes up with a shock. He looks to the bed beside his where his little sister slept. Only to see she wasn’t there.
‘’Emily? Emily?’’ Thackery asks, worried since he can’t see her. With no response, he walks out of the house to look for her. ‘’Emily!’’ He shouts, Still no response. He quickly spots his friend, Elijah and runs over to him. ‘’Elijah, Elijah! Have thee seen my sister, Emily?’’ Thackery asks. ‘’Nay. But look!’’ Elijah said and pointed to the woods where they could see pink smoke. ‘’They conjure.’’ Elijah said. ‘’Oh, God. The woods!’’ Thackery said. Thackery and Elijah quickly run to the grass field in front of the woods. They see Emily running into the woods, following a witch behind.’’Emily!’’ Thackery shouts, but she doesn't notice. ‘’Now she’s done for.’’ Elijah said. ‘’Not yet! You wake my father, summon the elders. Go!’’ Thackery told Elijah. He quickly runs across the grass field and into the woods.
‘’Emily!’’ He shouts for his sister but she still doesn't notice. Thackery keeps running, but falls down a hill, landing face first on the ground. He hears the laughter of a child and looks up to see The Sandersons Sisters house. ‘’Come, child.’’ One of the witches, Sarah, says and takes Emily inside. Thackery quickly but silently sneaks up to the window. He opens it and looks inside where he sees the three witches. Winnifred, Mary and Sarah with their backs against him. When they move out of the way, he sees his little sister. ‘’Emily.’’ He whispers. He realized the three sisters heard him and ducked down. He quickly hides as the sisters begin looking for him. ‘’Oh, look. Another glorious morning. It makes me sick.’’ Winnifred said and closed the window. ‘’Sisters!’’ She shouts. ‘’Yes, Winnie.’’ Mary said. ‘’We’re coming, Winnie, right away. Sorry.’’ Sarah said.
As the sisters went inside again, Thackery climbs up to the second floor and climbs in through the window. He hears Winnifred reading up ingerdients to their potion. He could hear Sarah shout ‘Dead man’s toe! Dead man’s toe’ He saw Mary put a dead man’s toe in the cauldron. Sarah took another dead man’s toe and threw it at Mary. Mary threw back and Winnifred got irritated. ‘’Will you two stop that? I need to concentrate.’’ Winnifred said. ‘’Sorry.’’ Mary said while Sarah hid her laugh. Mary walked around the house a bit. ‘’I Smell a child.’’ She said, ‘’Nah, what dost thou call that?’’ Winnifred asked. ‘’A child?’’ Mary said. ‘’Hmm! Sisters! Gather ‘round.’’ Winnifred said and the sisters stood around the cauldron. ‘’One thing more and all is done. And a bit of thine own tongue.’’ Winnifred said. ‘’Oh, Winnie, thou art divine.’’ Mary said. ‘’Tis ready for tasting. One drop of this and her life will be mine. I mean, ours.’’ Winnifred said. The sisters turned to Emily, with the potion in hand. ‘’All right, Girl. Open up your mouth.’’ Winnifred said. That was all it took for Thackery to run into action. ‘’No!’’ He shouted. The sisters turned around and gasped as they saw him. ‘’A boy!’’ Sarah said. Thackery jumped down to the first floor. ‘’Get him, you fools!’’ Winnifred said. ‘’I got him. I knew I smelled a boy.’’ Mary said. Thackery hit the cauldron against Mary and Sarah, causing them to fall and the potion in the cauldron to spill all over the floor. ‘’My potion!’’ Winnifred screamed. ‘’Emily!’’ Thackery shouts and run to his sister, but before he could save her, Winnifred hit him with lightning, causing him to fall to the floor.
‘’Winnie. Winnie. Look.’’ Mary said and pointed to Emily. The sisters could see her life force glowing around her. ‘’Sisters, prepare thyselves. Tis her life force. The potion works. Take my hands. We will share her.’’ Winnifred said as the sisters held hands. ‘’Oh, Winnie, how generous of thee.’’ Mary said. The sisters walked to Emily and inhaled her life force. Thackery, being in pain, could only watch as the sisters inhaled his sister’s life force. ‘’Sisters! Behold!’’ Winnifred said as she noticed they were young again. The sisters started celebrating. ‘’I am beautiful! Boys will love me!’’ Sarah celebrated. ‘’We’re young!’’ Mary said. ‘’Oh, well, younger. But it’s a start!’’ Winnifred said and the sisters laughed. ‘’Let’s brew another batch.’’ Winnifred said. ‘’You hag! There are not enough children in the world to make thee young and beautiful. Much less Godric’s Hollow.’’ Thackery said. ‘’Hag. Sisters, did you hear what he called you? Whatever shall we do with him?’’ Winnifred asked. ‘’Let’s barbecue and filet him.’’ Mary said. ‘’Hang him on a hook and let me play with him.’’ Sarah said, ‘’No!’’ Winnifred said. ‘’Book? Darling, come to Mummy.’’ Winnifred said as the book levitated to her. ‘’Yes. His punishment must be more fulsome, more lingering. Dazzle me, my darling.’’ Winnifred said and opened the book. ‘’Let’s see, amnesia, bunions, chilblains, cholera. We can do better than that, I think. Let’s see what we have. Perfect!’’ Winnifred said. She closed the book and gave it to Sarah. ‘’His punishment shall not be to die… but to live forever with his quilt.’’ Winnifred said. ‘’As what, Winnie, as what?’’ Sarah and Mary asked. ‘’Jump back! Twist the bones and bend the back.’’ Winnifred said. ‘’Itch-it-a-cop-it-a. Mel-a-ka-mys-ti-ca.’’ Mary and Sarah said. ‘’Trim him of his baby fat.’’ Winnifred said. ‘’Itch-it-acop-it-a, Mel-a-ka-mys-ti-ca.’’ ‘’Give him fur black as black.’’

In pain Thackery feld down to the floor. He didn’t know how to explain it, but he quickly realized something happened to him. He heard his groans turn into meowing. He looked at his body. The sisters have turned him into a cat. He hissed as Sarah tried to pet him. A knock came from the door. ‘’Open!’’ A man shouted.
The sisters were standing on barrels with nooses around their necks. ‘’Winnifred Sanderson?’’ Mr. Binx said. ‘’Yes’’ Winnifred answers. ‘’I will ask you thee one final time.’’ Mr. Binx said. ‘’Yes:’’ Winnifred said, inpatient waiting for what he had to say. ‘’What hast thou done with my son, Thackery?’’ Mr. Binx asked. His voice hinting of worries for his son. ‘’Thackery?’’ Winnifred said. ‘’Answer me!’’ Mr. Binx said. ‘’Well, I don't know. Cat’s got my tongue.’’ Winnifred said. Her and her sisters laughed. ‘’Listem. This is terribly uncomfortable.’’ Sarah said. ‘’Sisters, sing.’’ Winnifred said. The sisters begin to sing. The villagers covered their ears. ‘’Listen to them not!’’ Mr. Binx said. Elijah, who held the spell book, dropped it to cover his ears. The book opened. ‘’Fools! All of you! My ungodly book speaks to you. On All Hallow’s Eve when the moon is round, a virgin will summon us from under the ground. We shall be back! And the lives of all the children shall be mine!’’ Winnifred said.
And that was the last thing heard from the sisters before they were hung. The villagers made their way home. Thackery, now a cat, made his way to his father, but he pushed him away. ‘’Away! Away, beast!’’ Mr- Binx said and walked away.
‘’It’s me, father.’’ Thackery wanted to say, but could not. He watched his father leave.
