Hermione Granger is a level headed witch, she’s logical, yes she needs help in the fashion department since she’s technically a public figure now, but if Pansy Parkinson knows how to do one thing, it’s put together an outfit, but otherwise she likes to believe she has good judgement when it comes to bringing someone into her life. Even if her best friends turned family don’t think so. Which was why when she began dating Draco Malfoy she decided she would simply show up to their weekly dinners with him. She just didn’t realise how nervous she’d be.
“Draco? Are you almost ready?” She asked. “I’ve been ready…I think.” He responded making Hermione giggle. “Okay, just try to remember, I’m like a sister to them, they’re bound to be protective, just…try to keep that in mind and don’t draw your wand, you’re technically not rivals anymore.” She said as they headed to the floo. “Don’t worry, you reap what you sow. I’ll play nice.” He says turning on his charm.
Over all it was going well, if you don’t account for his obvious disdain for Lunas decor, or Ron’s casual clothes, or Harry’s messy clothes, or- it was going well, it was, it is. From the looks on Harry and Ron’s faces they were surprised, Theo looked as if he already knew, which wouldn’t be surprising, but Luna looked as if she knew something they didn’t. Yet as they made their way into the house all Hermione could mumble to herself was ‘I pray this motherfucker doesn’t embarrass me.’ Yet as they sat down for pre-dinner drinks Hermione found herself apologizing and stating “he’s used to poshness..” which Theo thankfully agreed with her.
As Draco went to the restroom and everyone else talked amongst themselves Theo sat with Hermione “so..Draco?” She nodded “and how do you think that this is going?”
“His manor’s rather large? Maybe he doesn’t have to leave it?”
“He does if you want those bills passed through the Wizengamot.”
“But the gardens are so nice-“ she was cut off as Draco came back into the room mumbling about stepping into a cobweb making Luna mumble something about a poor spiders home.
“Well- as long as he doesn’t make things worse or try to duel them, I can handle a lot, but I don’t think my ego can handle it. Pansy would also kill me for ruining on of her makeup looks.” Resulting in a chuckle from Theo as Draco lovingly wrapped his arms around her. Making her hope this doesn’t end badly.
