Komaru sat cross-legged on the couch, lazily tossing a stress ball up and down while sneaking glances at Toko, who was hunched over her laptop, typing furiously. Her fingers clacked against the keys at a frantic pace, her eyes locked on the screen with laser focus.
Komaru had been watching her for a while now. Toko got like this sometimes—so absorbed in whatever she was writing that the rest of the world may as well have not existed. It was kind of impressive, honestly.
But Komaru was bored.
"Hey, Toko," she called, tilting her head. "Whatcha writing?"
Toko flinched so hard she nearly knocked her laptop off her lap. "N-Nothing!" she snapped, slamming the screen shut so fast Komaru could feel the air shift. "Nothing at all! None of your business!"
Komaru squinted at her suspiciously. "If it's nothing, why are you acting all weird about it?"
Toko turned red, gripping her laptop like a lifeline. "I-It's just...just some dumb writing! Doesn't matter! Nothing you’d be interested in!"
Now Komaru really wanted to know. She leaned forward, a teasing grin spreading across her face. "If it's not important, then why won’t you show me?"
Toko let out a strangled noise, shifting uncomfortably. "Because! Because it’s p-private! Some people actually value privacy, y'know!"
That just made Komaru more suspicious. Toko was always protective of her writing, sure, but this level of panic? This had to be something juicy.
"Come on, just let me take a peek!"
"NO!"
Toko clutched her laptop tighter, but Komaru was faster. With a sudden lunge, she snatched it right from Toko’s hands.
"AHHH!" Toko shrieked. "YOU BRAT! GIVE IT BACK!"
Ignoring her protests, Komaru flipped the laptop open and skimmed the document. At first, it seemed like typical writing overly dramatic prose, lots of big words but then she saw the names.
Her name.
And Toko’s name.
Komaru blinked. Then she read the words more carefully.
“Komaru’s lips trembled as Toko’s hand fell down her side, her breath hot against her ear. ‘D-Don’t stop,’ she whispered, ‘I-I wanna feel you,’ she said her body aching for more…”
Komaru’s eyes widened.
Oh.
Oh.
Toko was writing smutty fanfic about them.
Komaru barely had time to process that realization before an idea popped into her head. A terrible, amazing idea.
Clearing her throat dramatically, she began reading aloud.
"‘Komaru gasped as Toko’s lips trailed down to her—’"
"NOOOOOO!" Toko lunged at her, but Komaru dodged, hopping over the couch while keeping the laptop just out of reach.
"‘—Neck, leaving a wet blazing path of heat—’"
"STOP! STOP! STOP!" Toko screamed, her face as red as a tomato.
"‘Her fingers tangled in Toko’s hair, pulling her closer—’"
"SHUUUUUT UUUUUP!"
Komaru's eyes sparkled with mischief as she continued reading aloud from Toko's extremely detailed fanfiction.
"‘Toko pressed Komaru against the wall, their bodies flush together. Heat pooled between her legs as she gasped—’"
Komaru suddenly took a deep breath, put on her most dramatic expression, and let out a loud, exaggerated moan.
"Aaaahn~ T-Toko! You're making me feel so goood… so—!"
Toko screamed.
"NOOOOO! S-STOP!"
She pounced Zaq at Komaru, but Komaru dodged, barely avoiding getting tackled. Tears of laughter streamed down her face as she clutched the laptop to her chest.
"Wow, Toko! You really wrote this kinda stuff about us? You really imagine me sounding like that?" She dramatically batted her eyelashes. "Ooh, Toko, take me now~!"
Toko was dying inside. She grabbed a couch pillow and smacked Komaru over the head with it. "S-STOP SAYING IT OUT LOUD! STOP MAKING THOSE STUPID NOISES!"
Komaru flopped onto the couch, pretending to fan herself. "Phew! I had no idea you saw me this way, Toko! All this time, you've been secretly imagining me moaning your name?"
Toko let out a strangled wheeze before burying her burning red face in her hands. "I HATE YOU SO MUCH."
Komaru couldn't stop laughing. "This is the best thing that’s ever happened to me."
Toko groaned into her hands. "Worst day of my life."
