They said "Speak Now!!"
Summary
When Draco got the letter, he felt like he couldn’t breathe. He and Harry have had a very rough past, but after the war Draco apologized to him and his friends before 8th year started. Harry spoke at his trial and probably was the whole reason Draco's life didn’t go to shit after the war. They kept it civil over 8th year, barely talked, but when Draco applied for being an auror, he never knew that Harry would be his auror partner. It was tough, very tough at first. They had to talk, but everytime they held a conversation it would turn into a fight. A year or two went by and they became good friends. After another year, Draco couldn’t help but feel the old feelings he had for Harry all those years ago again. He pushed them down the best he could, but it was no secret to him and closest to him. Draco loved Harry. So getting his and Ginny's wedding invention made him want to puke.
Note
OMG, thank you all SO much for the support and feedback on the last fic, you don't know how much this means to me. I am going to be making this "based on a Taylor Swift" thing a series so I hope you enjoy! and like always, you do not have to listen to the song to get the fic, but I would highly recommend it! I thought I would go for speak now because a lot of this series will be The Tortured Poets Department. Enjoy!!

Draco always knew that Harry loved Ginny, but sometimes the way he spoke about her felt more like a sister than anything romantic. Draco also remembered the time that Harry came to Dracos place drunk and practically threw himself on Draco, complaining about Ginny and how needy she was. Harry slept in Dracos room that night, and Draco has never seen a more beautiful sight. He thinks about that memory a lot.

He looked back at his owl, giving him a few treats and a few pets before writing his own letter letting Harry know he would be attending.

Draco looked in the mirror, fixing his hair and finishing his suit with a tie. He went for a black suit and tie, casual. He made eye contact with himself in the mirror and sighed.

“You look like you are going to a funeral.”

He turned around to see Pansy in a pasty pink dress, fitted to her body perfectly. It was short, but not too short. Her hair was put up and her makeup was done perfectly. Draco knew that if he was into girls, Pansy would be his first option.

“You look good.” Draco said with a small smile. Pansy scoffed, picking up her small black purse and throwing it over her shoulder.

“I always look good, darling.” She said with a smile, walking over to him. She reached her hands up and started fixing his tie, that did look a little wonky. He bit the inside of his lip, looking down at Pansy. She finished, looking up at him.

“Are you ready?” She asked softly. She and Blaise were the only ones he’s openly said he liked Harry to. She had been supportive all those years ago and now, like his feelings had always been there. Draco was starting to think they have.

“I think.” Draco said. Pansy smiled and grabbed onto his arm. With that, they apparted.

-

The place was beautiful. White was all around and flowers of shades of pink and white decorated the venue perfectly. It was as big as the dining hall, rows of white chairs with gold chandeliers. Draco knew in the back of his mind that Harry didn’t do any of this.

“I’m gonna go find Hermione.” Pansy said, letting go of his arm.

“I’m gonna go find Ron.” Draco replied with a smile. Him, Blaise, and Pansy had gotten to be friends with the golden trio after a night out at the pub where the 6 ran into each other. After that they all got close and planned to meet almost every weekend. Draco had surprisingly got very close with Ron after a few nights out. At first they fought and shot mean looks at one another but once they both found something to bond over (quidditch) the two had become very good friends.

Draco made his way through the venue to find Ron at the Buffet, already eating. Draco smiled.

“Same some for the rest of us, Weasley.” He said with a smirk. Ron looked over at him and smiled.

“Draco, I’m glad you could make it. This sushi is amazing.” Ron said, eating another roll. Draco grimaced. He thought for a moment.

“I thought Harry didn’t like sushi?” Draco asked. Ron gave him a look that he didn’t know what it meant, but it was a very weird look. Then he shrugged, grabbing a glass of wine for him and Draco.

“Ginny’s idea.” Ron said, handing him the wine glass filled with white win. Harry also hated white wine.

“Do you know where Harry is?” Draco asked. Ron looked up at him.

“Yeah, he’s getting ready in one of the rooms. Uh, go down that hall and it’s your first right.” Ron said, pointing to the door. Draco nodded and took a big drink of his wine before handing it back to Ron.

“Draco?” Ron asked. Draco looked back at him.

“Are you going to tell him?” Ron asked. Draco froze. Did Ron know? He never told Ron. Was it obvious? Hopefully no one else knows. Hopefully Ron hasn’t told Harry. He cleared his throat.

“What do you mean?” He asked. Ron raised an eyebrow, but then shook his head.

“Nothing.” He said. Draco furrowed his eyebrows, but then turned around. He didn’t want to fight or talk with Ron right now. He wanted to see Harry. He made his way towards the weasley family, who was all dressed in different pastel colors. Molly was in pink, George in yellow, Arthur in green, percy in orange, and Bill in blue. Draco rolled his eyes passing them. He could barf from all the colors. He finally got to what he thought was the right room and opened it. Yelling broke his train of thought.

“I said I wanted Hermione in Purple and you in Pink! But no! No one ever listens to me!” Ginny yelled into Pansy's face. Pansy seemed very unaffected by her outburst. Even Hermione looked done with her. Her dress was white and very fluffy. Draco felt nauseous at the sight. Draco quickly closed the door before he got yelled at. He could now hear the yelling even after he closed the door. He rolled his eyes and walked over to the next door, knocking this time before opening.

“Come in.” He heard a voice say. Draco took a deep breath and opened the door, just for that breath to be taken away again. Harry stood there in front of a mirror, fumbling with his tie. He was in a light gray suit with a white undershirt and white tie. His hair looked a little more brushed out and he looked perfect. He always looked perfect. Harry turned to look who it was and smiled at the sight of Draco.

“You look nice.” Harry said. Draco smiled a little, finally regaining his breath and consciousness.

“You look-” Good, great, perfect, like the love of my life. “Amazing.” Draco said, shutting the door behind him, drowning out the voices. Harry winced.

“Is that Ginny yelling?” He asked. Draco chuckled, walking more in.

“The color scheme of everything is all wrong.” He said dramatically, mocking Ginny. Harry laughed, a genuine laugh. Draco almost cried at how beautiful he was. Harry continued to fumble with his tie until Draco scoffed and walked over to him, swatting his hands down and grabbing the tie. He looked at Harry's eyes for a second for permission, but got lost in them. What if they just ran away from this? All the wedding crap, from Ginny. What if they ran away and got a cottage up north where only their closest friends and family knew about. They could start a family, get a pet. They could have a good life if Harry just ran away with him. But he couldn’t ask for that.

“Draco?” A voice pulled him out of his mind to see Harry smiling up at him. Draco shook his head a little and focussed on Harry's tie. After a few moments, he got the tie tied and fixed. He looked up to Harry's eyes.

“I don’t want to do this.” Harry whispered so quietly Draco almost didn’t hear it. Draco's heart sped up as he looked into the watery Green eyes.

“Don’t say that, you’re just nervous.” Draco said, his voice breaking. He swallowed his own tears down along with the unsaid words. Harry shook his head, keeping eye contact. Draco practically felt Harry's magic with how close he was. Harry's magic always found Draco.

“No, Draco. I don’t want to get married to Ginny.” Harry said. Draco sucked in a breath. They stared into each other's eyes for what felt like minutes, until the door swung open, causing them both to jump back from each other.

“Draco! I have been looking all over for you.” Pansy said, eye darting between Draco and Harry. Draco cleared his throat, walking to Pansy.

“Sorry.”

“Potter, you look nice!” Pansy said with a smile. Harry smiled at her.

“Not as good as you, Pansy! You look amazing.” He said with a smile. Pansy waved him off with thanks and walked out of the room. Draco followed her, but not before glancing back at Harry one last time, to see a tear escape from those pretty green eyes. Draco walked out of the room, shutting the door, leaving the unsaid words, unsaid.

-

The music started playing, and Draco stood up. He looked towards the door to see Ginny walking in, her arms laced with her father, having a very pretty smile on her face. Draco teared up at the sight. Ginny was perfect. Her clear skin and straight long red hair. She was the perfect girl for Harry. Ginny looked over at Draco, giving him a glare, before looking back at her soon to be husband. Draco rolled his eyes.

The crowd sat down as the preacher started to marry the two. Draco looked at Harry, who made eye contact with him. You wish it was me, don’t you? Draco thought to himself. He felt a tear roll down his cheek before he could stop it, and there was more to come. He felt a hand on top of his and he looked over at Pansy, who had a knowing look. He turned back to the couple, drowning out the priest's voice. A moment later, Pansy whispered in his ear.

“Your time is running out. Speak now.” Pansy said. Draco looked over at her with furrowed eyebrows. She looked over at the couple and raised her eyebrows, then back at Draco. Draco looked over at them.

“If anyone objects to this marriage please speak now, or forever hold your peace.” The priest said. Draco swallowed, looking at Harry, who looked out into the crowd, eyes finally landing on Draco. Draco took a deep breath, and stood up. His hands were shaking so bad it could be visible to anyone. Harry's eyes widened. He was sure about the looks he was getting. Pansy and Blaise were probably smiling at him with a proud smile, The Weasleys were probably furious, Ginny equally as mad, Ron and Hermione probably shocked, everyone else feeling the same. But he couldn’t care less. He only was staring into those beautiful green eyes he fell in love with when he was 13. He took a deep breath and spoke.

“I am not the type of guy to rudely barge in on a wedding but you Harry Potter are not the type of guy to be marrying the wrong girl. I have known you since we were 11 and fell in love with you when we were 13. I might be wrong for doing this here and now, but I can’t sit here and watch you marry someone who don’t wanna marry.” Draco said in one breath. The room was silent, like time was frozen.

“Why would he ever want to marry you? I am-”

“Oh just shut up, Ginny.” Harry said, letting go of her hands and walking over to Draco, grabbing his hands and running away with Draco. They ran and ran, finally apparting to Dracos flat together.

-

They were only in a white button up at trousers, but Draco had never felt more comfortable in his life. Harry's arms were around him and he had never felt more at home. He always felt at home with Harry. He was just glad that Harry finally felt the same. After running away from Harry's wedding, they hadn't said a word to each other, even if an hour went past, they were still in bed, tangled up with each other, forgetting about whatever was outside the door. After 2 hours, Harry had broken the silence before Draco fell asleep.

"I'm so glad you were around when they said speak now."
