Harry Potter stood in the field surrounding the Burrow as he looked up at the sky, his hand just above his eyes to try and see Fred doing a trick on his broomstick. He watched as the twin did a twirl and a sharp dive to the ground before twisting and jumping off his broom. Landing on his feet in front of Harry.
Harry laughed and did a small clap. While the other weasleys cheered Fred on. “Very good Fred. But we have one better.”
George frowned. “We?” He asked.
“Severus and I.”
Ginny scoffed and rolled her eyes. “Oh please. Snape can't fly a broom.”
Harry smirked and sent his stag off as he looked at Ginny. “Who mentioned a broom? I merely stated we have a better trick while flying.”
Ginny looked over her shoulder to see who Harry was smiling at and saw Severus walk out of the Burrow and towards them all. She turned back. “He isn't part of it. We were all seeing who has the best trick while flying.”
“Yes and my trick involves my partner.” Harry looked at the other Weasley siblings. “Unless you all have any objections?” He asked.
“No mate. Don't listen to Ginny, we want to see your latest flying trick and do it ourselves.” Ron said.
“Oh this is one trick you won't be able to do Ronald.” Severus said as he approached them all. He looked at Harry. “Is this really necessary?” He asked.
“Yes! Come on Severus.” Harry laughed as he took his partner's hand.
“Very well. Up you go.”
Harry mounted his broom and took to the sky as others watched on.
After flying around in a circle twice, Charlie asked. “Where's the trick? Has he got to build up to it?”
Instead of answering, Severus lifted his arm up and spun as he flew up to Harry.
“Severus can fly??” George shouted.
The Weasley siblings all watched as Harry jumped off his broom and opened his arms wide as he started to fall closer to the ground only to be caught in Severus’ arms mere feet above the ground who flew them both in a circle before landing in front of everyone.
“You have got to show us how to fly!” Fred said.
George raised his hand. “You just chucked your hand up like this. What else?”
Ginny sidled up to Harry as her brother's questioned Severus. “Come inside with me Harry. I'll show you an even better ride.”
“Ginny…” Harry sighed.
“Come on Harry. My bed is lonely.”
Severus placed his arm across Harry's shoulders and pulled him close. “The only reason your bed is lonely Miss Weasley is because you are always in someone else's.” he snapped.
Ginny glared at Severus before turning her glare on her brothers for not defending her as she snatched up her broom and flew away from them all.
