Chapter 1

Their wands were drawn and pointed to the shadows dancing in the trees. The brunette was sure that he saw something moving, but it was hard to tell with how the moonlight filtered through the trees.

They had accidentally apparated to the wrong location. How wrong? They were suppose to be five cities south, just outside a upscale restaurant but they had somehow they had ended up on a rotten back road, completely surrounded trees and what seems to be a never ending road.

The brunette's eyes flickered across the vegetation, willing his eyes to make out shapes in the bleak area.

"Come out," the boisterous voice commanded, eyes scanning the area for any sign of movement.

A few beats passed and the only sound was gentle rustling of the leaves.

The shorter of the pair glanced sideways, muttering, "I don't think anything's there."

But he was wrong.

He was so wrong.
