Draco had come to terms with his love for Harry Potter back in 5th year and his being gay in 4th. However, part of coming to terms with it was accepting that it could never happen. Exusing the fact that he was him and Harry was well Harry He was gay and Harry was not and had been destined to the Weaslette since they met. It was as simple as that. Or at least that's what he thought until he opened the Prophet, almost spitting out his coffee in the process he sees the front page sporting a picture of Potter and some brunette making out in the back of a muggle pub the headline reading "The Boy Who Lived Gay?". Ugh who comes up with these he thought to try to distract himself from his sped yup breathing. Looking at the end of the three page long article he finds Rita Skeeters name signed at the bottom. Oh course, he thinks bitterly. Looking back at the picture you could only see the back of Potters head, but you could see the other bloke clearly. Dracos heart sped up agin as well as his breathing. Calm down he told himself. It's probably something the Prophet made up to get more readers anyway. He tried to focus on his breathing and slowing down his heart.

The next day when Draco walks into the Ministry-still in a state of shock- he finds himself being called into Kingsley's office. Only half listening he ears he's being paired with another aurora to investigate an ongoing murder case.
