The Blacks
It was no secret that the House of Black is one, if not the best, pure-blood witches and wizards out there. They were the combination of ancient wealth, elegance, dignity, and power. Thus they are called The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black. Lots of witches and wizards want to be a part of this house, as they possess great power, and they have a collection of ancient books containing powerful spells that you cannot find in this new generation. However, people do not know that being part of this family requires courage and pride.
Courage to stay sane despite the craziness running into the family, and...
Pride to make sure that they will never beg, not even once, in their life because they are part of The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black.
The House of Black is being led by no other than Walburga and Orion Black; they're great wizards despite their 'bad characteristics' that other wizards saw as their 'flaws'. Nobody can't deny that they are strong and wise. Yes, they are harsh, but that helped them to remain on top of the Sacred Twenty-Eight. Higher than the Malfoys, Lestrange, Rosiers, and even the Potter's.
Walburga has two siblings, Cygnus and Alphard, having two brothers, Walburga was the chosen head because she was stronger and more ruthless than her two brothers. Cygnus Black married Druella Rosier, and they had three beautiful daughters: Bellatrix 'Bella', Andromeda 'Andy,' and Narcissa 'Cissa' Black. While Alphard is still single, not showing any signs that he wants to get married.
Walburga and Orion have a son, which they named after the stars because they are above anyone else and always shining wherever they go. He is Sirius Orion Black. A product of perfection if you ask them, handsome, intelligent, prideful, and ruthless in, which his mother, Walburga Black most proud of since no one can talk shit to Sirius because of his cruelty.
Sirius is always composed in front of his parents, but when he is alone with his three cousins, he is so talkative and fun to be with, gone the cold Sirius that his mother is proud of. He always bickers with his cousin Bellatrix, while Andromeda and Narcissa would just laugh at them. They would sometimes throw spells to one another, but it was never serious.
Right now, the Black cousins are having a tea party in the backyard of the main Black House. The main house is where parties and important meetings are being held, and it is where Sirius lives. The Black cousins always have their Tea Party every Wednesday, Book reading every Thursday, duel practice every Friday, Shoppings every Saturday, Party every Sunday, and they rest every Monday and Tuesday. Due to this, they grew closer to one another, knowing each other's smells, and footsteps, and they even knew what each other was thinking by just a single glance.
And today is the second Wednesday of the month, hence the tea party.
"I heard that your mother's due next Wednesday," Bella said before sipping on her cup.
Sirius, who was busy braiding Cissa's hair, looked at Bella, "Yeah. So, we won't be having a tea party next week, so I suggest we move our tea party to Tuesday." Sirius hates tea, but he loves spending time with his cousins.
Andy snickered at Sirius's suggestion, "Your mother is giving birth, yet all you think about is our Tea Party. I can feel the love, Siri."
Sirius frowned at the nickname that Andy gave him, "I didn't tell them to conceive another child. I am already a perfect Heir, so why need a spare?"
"They need a spare in case I accidentally murder you during our duel practice," Bella said, smirking at Sirius.
Sirius laughed loudly at what Bella said, "Dream on, Little Bell, you can never beat me. Not even after a million years."
Bella frowned at what Sirius called her, "Stop calling me Little Bell; I am older than you for a two months."
"But comparing our heights, you are a 'little bell.' Even Andy is taller than you." Sirius is the tallest among the three; next is Andy, Bella, then Cissa.
Before the two get into a heated argument again, Cissa spoke, "I heard that it would be a boy." She heard her parents telling her that the spare would be a boy.
Sirius nodded, "Yes, and they would name him Regulus Arcturus Black. I chose his second name."
"Well, his name is better than your name," Bella commented before pouring tea into their cups.
"Sounds royal, right? A perfect name for a spare." Sirius took a biscuit, bite it before feeding the rest to Cissa, the biscuit is too sweet for Sirius.
Cissa obediently ate the biscuit Sirius fed her, "Why do you keep on calling him a spare Siri? Do you hate him?" she asked her cousin.
Sirius was silent for a minute to gather his thoughts. Why does he really call his baby brother a spare? He was thrilled to see and carry Regulus. He's excited to sleep beside him and sing him lullabies, but why call him a spare? Because Sirius knows that Regulus was conceived so that if he fails along the way to becoming the heir, Regulus will replace him. Which means that Regulus will go through what he had gone through, and he hates that. He wants to protect his Regulus, make him smile and laugh, and shield him from the world.
"Because he is my spare." he simply answered. Feeling that the air around them became somewhat cold, he cracked a joke, "He's just my spare, so make sure that you love me more than him, Cissa." he said in a somewhat baby voice.
Cissa giggled before hugging Sirius, "Of course, Siri. You're my favorite cousin, after all."
Bella gagged at that sight, "Of course he is Cissa. We do not have any cousins who are at our level." She said, and disgust was evident in her voice. Their other cousins were not pure blood like them, making them a disappointment for the Blacks.
"Oh, Bella, I know that you love Sirius more than us, your own sisters." Andy teased her older sister.
"Aww, how sweet of you, Bella," Sirius said in a somewhat sweet voice, "I love you too."
Bella looked at Sirius sharply, "Dream on." she said in disgust, making the other three laugh.
They continued teasing each other, forgetting the fact that a baby would be born next Wednesday. A baby that will change their lives forever.
A change that none of them was ready to welcome.
