●there is a difference between mers and sirens; sirens are what humans depicted as mermaids, beautiful, half-human half-fish but can sing like angels and live near the beaches or shallow water. mermaids are more scientifically fish they still look human but more fish that live out in the open ocean, mermaids take the form of many fish like sharks or killer whales
●the crackstone incident i have debated wether or not to keep that in or not but the story was planned to take place after it

●Prosarpinaca palustris or mermaid weed found in north, central america and the Caribbean that i imagine is leafy and tasteless (do as you wish with this info)
story summery
nevermore has been invited to spent (blank time) and parent week at a secluded location and thats to enid mixing up the timetables missed the first boat, luckily there was a backup boat for missing students. what they didnt expect that the ship would sink or that a certian trio would turn into mers. do they make it to their destination? with they ever make it to land? what about Ajax as Enid figures out her feeling for a gloomy roomate? AND WILL EUGENE EVER HAVE A BREAK???????
