(september)
James POV
When I entered my new dorm my roommate was already there setting his stuff up.
“Oh hi mate, my name is James Potter I am your new roommate. What's your name?’
The blonde boy looks up from his things. “ Good morrow mine own nameth is Xenophilius. Thee can appeal me Xeno. Mine own pronouns art they/he.what art yours?”
I blink, great, just my luck I get a roommate who speaks in Shakespearean English!“Oh! Er he/him” He nods and goes back to putting his stuff away. I move further into the room to start putting my own stuff away when Xenophilius, what an odd name, speaks again “What major art thee?” I look up to see that he is still looking at his stuff but is awaiting an answer “er sports education what about you?”
“Theater’ is the response I get. “ Is that why you speak in shakespearean english?” I blurt before I can think better of it. They blink. “No, I do that for fun.” That's the first sentence I fully understood, damn. When he turns away again they grab their phone and I’m glad the conversation is done now so I can focus on unpacking and getting settled .
Xenophilius POV
I pull out my phone and open discord to tell the group chat about my new roommate.

The sound of James talking made me look up from my phone
“Hey mate, do you mind if I play my guitar in here or would you prefer I go somewhere else to do that? Ha Regulus is gonna love that.
“Thee playeth guitar? That's awesome.I don’t careth if thee playeth in h’re just not too loud prithee” I watch as he tries to make sense of what I said it's entertaining.
“Not too loud got it” James says.

James POV
“ Hey uh Xenophilius mate, sorry to keep bothering you but could you tell me how to get to the library?” . They Look up from his Phone “wherefore doth thee need to knoweth?”
“I want to know so I can find it if I need to go there to work on a project or something. Do you think you could show me where it is?”
“C’rtainly followeth me” they get up from their spot on the floor (why someone would choose to sit on the floor is beyond me) and go to the door gesturing for me to follow. So I do.
After a bit of kinda uncomfortable silence I ask “ hey wots your last name? Just out of curiosity.”
“Mine own last name is lovegood”
“Your name is Xenophilius lovegood? Really?” They nod.
There's a shout from a bit away of “ XENOO hii”
“Good morrow darling” they greet the person, his girlfriend? Maybe.
“Oh who is this?”
“ I’m James Potter, Xenophilius’ new roommate. And you are?”
“ OH! I am Pandora Lupin They/It pronouns please. I am xenos lover,lovely to meet you.”
“ Pleasure to meet you, although now I am curious if everyone here has- no offense- odd names?” The two look at each other for a second before laughing and Pandora answers `` Not EVERYONE but a good chunk of our friend group do. Can I ask where you two are headed?”
“I am revealing that gent to the library.”
“Oh how fun mind if I join you?’
“Not at all mine own darling.”
It only Takes a few more minutes to get to the library
“ Thanks for showing me where the library is xenophilius,pandora.”
“You’re welcometh.”
‘Right well I think I will look around the library to try and make it familiar to me, uh see ya round I guess.” as I walk away from the two I see them exchange a glance. Huh wonder what's that about.
As I am walking by the tables I see the most gorgeous man I have ever seen.he seems to be writing something. Isn’t it too early to have a school assignment? Weird.
