It was around mid july, the holidays were soon to start and everyone at Hogwarts was slowly giving up on school.
Except for for two, the casanova of griffindor and the mysterious black heir.
As almost every day Remus and Regulus were sat in the library, open books covering the table, pens with missing caps scattered over the table and open book bags hanging from the chairs.
Back in the dorm james peter and Sirius were sat, james was playing with his wand, repeatedly whispering lumos and bringing it to a soft glow.
Peter was staring at a wall while chewing on the end of an old rollerball pen he had stolen off Marlene, looking like he was in a different universe.
Sirius, as impatient as he was, lied sprawled out on the floor, rolling around and making chocking and throwing up noises while muttering about the heat and how bored he was.
“Sirius”
“Blergh what is this shite weather i asked for summer not a fucking apocalypse”
“Sirius”
“And now Moony is studying idk how he does it, how is he sat in a 30 degree library rn and not absolutely dying”
“Sirius”
“And its literally with my BABY brother, i mean sure i love him but hes a little shithead I honestly dont know why anyone would even get the idea-“
“SIRIUS ORION BLACK”
“Jesus christ, jamie you sound like my mother dearest almost”
They both broke down laughing, Peter who was laughing too was rubbing his temples with his hand, like the two other boys were the stupidest people he knew. (they were most likely but he loved them regardless)
Another few minutes of the three boys making stupid jokes and giggling like they were 12 year olds passed.
“I want a joint.” Peter said.
“Yes that is a great idea actually Petey” Sirius agreed “im out of stuff but im very sure Remus has some lying around which he said we could use.”
After 15 minutes the boys had found enough stuff to roll a joint and some snacks too.
The settled on the window sill, Sirius rolled a clean joint in a few seconds (it should’ve been a bit concerning but they were too busy to care anyways) Peter rummaged through his bag trying to find a lighter, meanwhile Sirius and James were going through the snacks they had found in the dorm, there was chocolate which they wanted to save for Remus as a sort of thank you, some sour gummy as well as some crisps and salt sticks.
James who was an absolute sweet tooth instantly grabbed the gummy, it wasnt a big package but it looked very pretty and had a light blue color.
Sirius, who preferred salty snacks, grabbed a pack of crisps with salt and vinegar’s flavour, horrible in Remus’ opinion but that didnt seem tos top him from always eating them (None of the other three boys understood it, really but they were all odd in their own way)
Sirius had walked over to the record played they had sneaked into their dorm in 2. year, crouched before the cupboard compartment he sat, skipping through the vinyls.
“Any music wishes ?”
“Put on bowie or Bob marley”
“Ill put bob marley if we smoke we need the right vibe for it”
This made Peter giggle a bit.
Peter lit the joint and Sirius and hims started passing it, james was still busy with the sour gummys, they tasted a bit odd but nonetheless good.
After two minuted they heard a knock on the door, a loud
“You can smell it till here” could be heard from behind the door and soon enough Mary stepped in, she had her hair in a white bandana and wore a black skirt with a dark red tank top.
She was holding a handful of nail polish bottles in her hand, presumably Sirius’.
“Hey guys,” she smiled at them “Sirius i brought you your nail polish, Lily and i were just heading out, she should be here any minute.”
“Heyyyy” a already high peter greeted her.
“Hii” james added, Mary smiled at the both of them, then looked at the gummy in James hand.
“Want one ?” He offered
“No but you might wanna slow down with those” humour in her voice.
“Its cool i have a high metabolism”
“Their edibles” she put her hands on her hips, the humour in her tone only becoming more.
“Yes, thats why im eating them”
He made a hand gesture, as if he had stated something absolutely obvious.
“They’re full of cannabis ?” Mary added doing the same hand gesture, as if what she had said was even more obvious.
He froze.
“All of them?” His breath was picking up.
“How many did you just eat ?” She was on the verge of breaking down in laughter.
Now the panic was setting in,
“like ten, twelve.” He whispered absolutely panicking, he could’ve started crying right there. His breath was picking up as the realisation hit in.
“Oh. My. God.” Mary was not laughing anymore, in her face was just pure shock with a hint of humor”
Sirius and Peter were staring at James, mouth opened like they were fish.
“Holy shit” Sirius whispered
At this point Lily had entered the dorm, she wore matching outfits with mary, only she wore a green tank top.
“Hey guys” she said with a smile, which faded as soon as she saw james panicked look and the edibles in his hand.
“James did you just eat these ?” Lily asked shocked.
“Uh huh”
“Half the bag?” She sounded like she was hoping for him to say no.
“Uh huh” he was still breathing way too fast ,he didn’t know what was gonna happen and he didn’t want to find out either.
Lily didn’t say anything, she just sighed and let out a small laugh while rubbing her temple with her hand.
“That amount with your body weight ? Your fucked.” Mary added as if the situation wasn’t bad enough already.
“MARY, THIS IS SO NOT HELPING” James looked like he saw a ghost.
“IM JUST BEING REALISTIC” Mary shouted back, hands up in defence, behind her was stood Lily, quietly snickering into her hand.
“STOP BEING REALISTIC” Sirius was snickering with Lily and Peter kept looking between Lily and James.
“The whole dorm smells like weed” Remus said loudly from the door. As soon as Sirius saw him he ran to him and gave him a soft kiss on the lips. James was still panicking,
Remus looked at him and then at the bag, exactly as Lily had done. The two of them spent so much time with each other, they were turning into one person.
Remus just stared at him, side eyeing lily who was trying to hide her smile, his eyes grew in size and Lily just nodded. After that Remus started snickering too. James pale as a ghost even tho his gold brown skin just stared between the two if them.
“Were heading out now, good luck Remus, boys don’t die.” Mary said still smiling behind her hand. She turned on the step and walked out, closely followed by Lily.
They almost said good bye to the girls, not even three seconds after the three boys, all high as a kite started rolling around on the floor roaring with laughter, and on the side was stood a grumpy looking Remus.
“Well this is going to be fun” he deadpanned.
“Remussssss moonyyyyyyy my moonageeeeeee daydreammmmmm c’mereeeeeeeeeee”
Sighing he sat to the rest of the boys and gave Sirius a kiss on the head after wrapping his arms around him.
