A Lie
Summary
“We are in this together,” Sirius would tell him.“You and me. I promise.” He would tell him and Regulus would always promise back. What a lie.  Short little Drabble of pain.

“We are in this together,” Sirius would tell him.

“You and me. I promise.” He would tell him and Regulus would always promise back.

What a lie.

He hated me just for being. Breaking every vow he made to me as a child, every promise. He treated me as I didn’t exist anymore, the very moment that hat said “Slytherin”. I saw it in his eyes. I saw it in the weeks that follow. I was alone. I was the spare after all. Just for breathing at this point was a sin in his eyes. Accusing me of following our parents footstep. The very monsters that broke us.

I was a monster in the eyes of my once hero, the person I love and sadly will alway love. If only he truly knew what I gave up for him. But if he knew would he even believe me?

He would probably just throw it in my face. “A lie,” he would say. So I had to act. I had to give him a reason to hate me. Make myself the villain of his story. Let him believe in his world of black and white. Make me the villain of his story. Be a lie.
