Silenced
Sirius didn't speak for a month, he wanted to but nothing came out of his mouth.
A year in azkaban, but luckily got out with Dumbledoor's help. A month ago he had moved back into the house Remus and him had bought, but it wasn't the same.
Remus handed Sirius his dinner and sat opposite him on the table. Sirius nodded his head as a thank you and started picking at his food.
The past year and month had been hard for both of them, but this was as normal as it could be.
"You know that book you loved?"
Sirius looks up at Remus and nods his head slowly, of course he knows what book Remus was talking about.
"They've got a few more newer copies at the book shop, do you want one?"
Sirius keeps a blank face before nodding slowly and giving Remus a weak smile. "Okay, I'll stop by on the way back from work tomorrow"
"Thank you" Sirius mutters with his head down.
Remus lifts his face towards Sirius in shock not really hearing what he said. "Wh- what did you say?"
"Thank you"
Remus smiles, trying not to act too happy that Sirius spoke for the first time in probably over a year.
"It's no problem"
Sirius nods and goes back to picking his food and eating some brocolli.

"Can I sleep with you tonight?" Sirius asks stood in the doorway of Remus' room.
"Yes of course love, it's really our bed after all" Remus answers a bit fast, he thought the 'thank you' was the last time Sirius would speak that day.
Sirius smiles at that and climbs into bed with Remus like how it used to be. Before they lost Lily and James, and Peter.
Remus carefully wraps his arms around Sirius' skinny stomach feeling him tense up. This is the first time they've touched since Sirius came back.
"Is this okay?" Remus feels Sirius nod. "Okay just relax love it's okay"
Remus wraps his arms fully around him and putting his head close to Sirius' neck. He gives his neck a small kiss before leaning over and turning the light off.
That was the best sleep they had both had in awhile.
Sirius started to speak more and more, they never had full conversations but he sometimes would ask how Remus' day was and other small things.
To Remus, things were slowly going back to how they used to. They would watch movies together on the sofa and cuddle in the night. Remus loved their meals together even if they were mostly in silence.
But Sirius still wasn't completely the same and Remus didn't blame him, it would take time for their relationship would go back to normal, and Remus was ready for that.
A month later Remus knocks on the door before walking in their bedroom where Sirius was. Sirius looks up at him and moves over on the bed in case Remus wanted to come in the bed.
"Would you maybe perhaps want to go on a date with me this evening?"
Sirius smiles and Remus sees a thin layer of blush covering his cheeks. "Yes"
Remus smiles and lies on the bed on his stomach. "I miss us, or I miss how it all used to be, with James and Lily, and us and just everything."
Sirius nods and moves over on the bed to face Remus. "I'm sorry"
Remus shakes his head and strokes Sirius' cheek gently like how he used to. "It's not you or your fault at all Sirius"
Sirius nods and looks away, but suddenly Remus' lips come gently onto his and he freezes completely not kissing back.
Remus pulls gently away and sits up on the bed annoyed at himself. "Shit, sorry, it was too early"
Sirius tugs at Remus' shirt making him fall back onto the bed. Sirius moves onto his elbows and leans down kissing Remus gently but quick.
"It's okay"
Remus smiles and nods. "Okay"
And they kiss again.

Sirius was slowly getting better, sleeping better, talking more and would even help himself to second portions during dinner.
This made Remus over the moon.
Waking up with Sirius in his arms automatically made his day better. But today was Sirius' day.
"Wake up love" Remus says as he kisses Sirius' face gently as he stirrs waking up.
Sirius opens his eyes and is met with a grinning Remus. "Happy birthday"
He groans lightly but a smile does appear on his face. "Thank you, I'm becoming an old man"
Remus laughs, "So old, only 23"
Sirius cant help but smile and cuddle back into Remus' chest. Remus wraps his arms around bim stroking his back gently.
"I've got you a present"
Sirius huffs, "I said no presents"
Remus laughs and kisses Sirius' neck. "You said that, I still got you a present"
Sirius groans as Remus leans under the bed searching for his present. "It's nothing big, if that helps"
Sirius doesn't answer so Remus pulls two wrapped presents up. It was quite obvious what the presents were, a very flat present, a smaller one that was thicker.
Sirius unwraps the flat one slowly with a small smile on his face. And inside was the beatles record he had talked about before he git sent to azkaban.
He gasps as he turns it around and slowly opens it and sees the gatefold, and then he checks the discs.
Remus loved watching Sirius' expressions opening the present, even if it was still hard for Sirius to explain his feelings by talking Remus could see how grateful he was.
"Thank you so much" Sirius whispers and puts the disc safely back in and goes to hug Remus.
"I'm glad you liked it, you used to talk about it 24/7, so I had to get it"
Sirius smiles back and gives Remus a small kiss. Remus hands Sirius the second present and he holds it gently before taking the paper off.
He gasps as he feels the cold book on his hand, his all time favorite book. Special collectors edition, hardcover.
Sirius flips through some of the pages and almost jumps at Remus pulling him into a ginormous hug.
"Thank you for everything"
Remus smiles and pulls from the hig restinf their foreheads together gently. "You deserve it most, more than anyone"
Remus kisses Sirius' nose, and Sirius kisses him back on the lips.
