5 Love Languages
1. physical touch
Now physical touch can be many different things, kissing, hugging, holding hands, stroking their face.
For Remus and Sirius physical touch is all of these. Remus loves kissing Sirius, leaving small pecks everywhere but his mouth watching him squirm under him and giggle.
Or when Sirius comes home from a long tiring day of work and hugs Remus straight away. Feeling Remus' arms slip around him, head buried in his chest felt just right to him.
They both love holding hands. During nights out, on the sofa, on a date, with friends they are always holding hands. Sirius always feels like he's going to collapse when he feels Remus lift their hands and kisses his hand.
And we can't forget after sex when they're tired, lay on the bed towards eachother and Sirius lifts his hand up to move Remus' hair out of the way. Then he would usually move his hand slowly down to his jaw and give him a small kiss.
2. acts of service
If Sirius needed help with something small he would do everything possible before actually asking for help.
If he needed something from the highest shelf, he would not ask Remus, he would climb onto the counter and reach on his tippy toes to get what he needed.
And most of the time he would fall down and hurt himself, by then he had probably called Remus.
Remus always kept out an eye for him and sometimes grabbed him right before he falls or hurts himself.
Or sometimes he would show an easier way, so Sirius could be independent whilst Remus was still helping him a little bit.
Now when Sirius helps Remus it's normally quite opposite. Remus struggles with mental health, and Sirius is always there to help.
Remus would talk to Sirius about how he felt and they would talk about it, usually on the sofa with something on the tv playing in the background.
Once Remus was feeling better and they had talked about everything they needed to it normally ended in a cuddle session they both love.
3. quality time
Quality time was something both Remus and Sirius love, but a lot of the time, well they didn't have time.
It's early in the morning and Remus is stroking Sirius' cheek waking him up. Once Sirius starts stirring he starts leaving little kisses all over his face.
“Good morning beautiful, want to go ice skating today?” Remus whispers.
Ice skating was an activity they had been doing for years, and now they were actually getting the hang of it.
“Yes I would love to” He replies scratching his eye with a smile.
At the ice hall Remus jumped onto the ice first, Sirius stood by the door waiting for Remus to hold his hand.
When I said they were getting the hang of it, Remus was, definitely not Sirius.
Remus skated back to Sirius and helped him onto the ice without falling. Sirius grabbed Remus' arm and then slipped, making both him and Remus fall onto the ice.
They were both laughing on the ice the Remus moved himself over to where Sirius was lay. He made sure there noses were touching and watched Sirius glow a bright red.
Then he kissed him.
4. receiving gifts
Remus and Sirius loved getting people gifts, even if it was handmade or cost a fortune, it was one of their favorite things to do.
So, natually they would always get fun little gifts for eachother. The week leading up to Sirius' birthday he found small gifts hidden around the house.
One of Sirius' favorite gifts he has gotten from Remus has to be his engagement ring, favorite gift and favorite memory.
Remus down on one knee dramatically with a rose in his mouth made it their funniest memory.
If you asked Remus what his favorite gift from Sirius he would reply with 'The man himself, and the happiness he has given me'
But we all know thats never the case, Remus' favorite gift from Sirius would be a book with photos of them through the years, ending with a gorgeous golden necklace that he wears everyday.
5. words of affirmation
Sirius feels insecure without compliments, if he doesn't get a compliment from Remus on his outfit he will change.
“That shirt makes your eyes pop”
“Yes your ass looks good in those jeans Sirius”
“Oo yes looking very handsome my love”
Sirius couldn't live without that and Remus knew it, he always made sure Sirius knew how good he looked.
“Hair's good as always Black!”
“Lupin-Black you mean”
Remus preffered compliments on things he was insecure about like his scars. He loved when they were lay on the bed half naked and Sirius was tracing his scars kissing some inbetween.
“Your gorgeous” Sirius would say gently as he kisses all over Remus' stomach making him smile.
