PROLOUGE
The husband’s rage boiled in him, his eyes widening in shock and disbelief upon seeing his wife in the sailor’s arms. He charged forward with a strangled cry, his stomach twisting in jealousy and agony at the sight before him.
Before anyone could stop him, the husband drew a dagger and attacked the pair. They fought back, screams of terror echoing desperately, but the husband, fueled by his anger and jealousy, his strikes becoming more and more frenzied until his young wife lay lifeless on the ground.
The sailor, seeing her love slain before her, let out a guttural cry of pain before sprinting toward the door, escaping.

The sky above them was a deep, somber gray, the sea crashing into the edge of the cliff and sending a fine mist of water into the air.
In the distance, the sun was slowly setting, bathing everything in a deep, warm hue of red and gold.
The sailor, returning to the empty manor picked up the the young woman’s body close to her, her head cradled in her lap.
The sailor felt a deep, choking feeling in her throat, her breath catching in her chest as sobs wracked her form. Her body shook with the force of her grief, each gasp of air a struggle against the lain and sorrow that welt up within her.
