Chapter 13
I am on my way to pick up my date for the Yule Ball in my silvery blue dress robes, even though she said I could just meet her outside the Great Hall.
It appears that this event is going to be a lot of travelling in groups, which I have gotten used to, but travelling solo means no one is slowing me down. I am also told it shows confidence to walk alone, when everyone else walks in groups, as long as you don’t look awkward and maintain a nonchalant facial expression.
Unfortunately, I learned all too well that even someone like Fleur can have their confidence lowered after their loss to Durmstrang in their Castle Games.
Fleur was remarkable, but Krum was a one-man army. He took out their Commander and all their Archers in what felt like no time due to his flight speed, his uncanny ability to fire his bow while flying which led to multiple back shots, and his ability to evade others’ attacks which was most likely due from his experience in dodging professional-grade Bludgers.
However, the Seeker for Bulgaria was still beaten in the air by Fleur. Viktor had to use his own bow to block her onslaught of attacks before his bow burst out of his hands, forcing him to land in the sand of the arena. The arena was a desert with ever changing sand hills. They even had a sandstorm that would pop up randomly on the field.
“And Krum has to make an emergency landing!” the announcer had told the audience when Durmstrang's Commander had to touch down before taking out his wand to defend against Fleur.
I had dueled against my date beforehand, which gave her enough assurance that she could take Krum on with a wand. She dueled well and had Krum in her clutches. Then two Beauxbatons Squires tried to come to help Fleur as well, which led to her downfall. Krum replaced his wand for his staff and made quick work of one of the males before grabbing the other as a human shield against Fleur, which there are no rules against.
The Beauxbatons Lieutenant had to make the tough call to stun their teammate in hopes of getting to the opposing Commander, but Krum just used the unconscious body to charge at her. When he was close enough, he launched the male’s body at her, which caused her to tumble down from the weight of the body before Krum was able to stun her. Then the professional Quidditch player got back on his broom, not even bothering to get his bow back, before zooming over to the Beaxbatons’ last sector.
Unlike me, Krum entered enemy territory and took on all three of Beaxbatons’ Knights on his own with just his bo staff. His power, ferocity, and stamina gave even me something to worry about as he wiped the floor with the opposing Knights. In their defense, they’d have to be maniacs like me to not falter in fear of the intimidating Commander, like they had. Viktor ended up casually walking over to get the chalice with practically no expression on his face, although he did give the crowd a small grin after single handedly winning the match.
Speaking of intimidating warriors.
“Out to pick up your lass, Potter?” Moody asked me from his post outside the Great Hall with a small smirk on his battle-worn face.
“I am indeed,” I smile at one of my favorite professors.
Moody couldn’t care less about assignments and spends most of his time in class having us practice our defensive spells.
He is a big fan of having us try and cast before figuring out what we need to do to perform a spell better. He also showed us spells like the unforgivable curses, but he also let us know that we would not be able to perform them, since we lacked the emotions to cast something so dark. He is another unique individual who understands it takes the whole brain to create both the emotions and the mental logistics required to cast advanced spells.
“Let her know I thought she performed admirably against the brute. If the tournament had some ethical rules, she would have been the victor…although, having those type of rules may have stopped your own win, am I right?” the retired Auror laughed out loud.
“I guess it boils down to how people define ethical,” I respond with a small chuckle as well.
“That’s true,” Moody smiled before looking around to make sure there were no prying ears. “If you would like some practice before your own match against the Bulgarian, you let me know lad,” he offers which is unlike his usual self.
“I would like to, but aren’t you not allowed to help with either Tournament?” I ask him.
“You can’t teach this old dog new tricks, Potter,” the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor replied with a shrug of his shoulders and a chuckle. “I know you noticed by now that I am too old to care about what some numpties want me to do,” he answers with a chuckle.
“I guess that makes two of us,” I joke and get a laugh in turn.
“Lily and James were the same way,” he responds with a grin.
“I know you had a different upbringing on what they had planned, but I dare say they would have loved to see how you turned out…especially, James,” he genuinely compliments me.
The compliment reminds me of my own doggy uncles… and I get a strange feeling he has some way of knowing I am in contact with them… but that can’t be possible…however, Moody still looks like he was just sending me a compliment, so I take it as such.
“I am sure they would also want me to have some private training with you as well…at least my father would,” I smile back. “I will definitely be taking you up on your offer, professor,” I accept.
“Good lad. Now get going. You don’t want your French lady to have any second guesses about being your date,” he ends, about to let me go.
“Have any experience with French women, sir?” I tease.
“That’s a whole other conversation for another time,” Moody barks out a laugh. “And when we are in private, it’s Moody, you got that, Harry?”
“Understood, Moody,” I nod my head and chuckle before heading out to not be late for my date.

I met Fleur outside, but only got a moment or two to compliment her on her appearance.
She wore a form fitting silvery blue dress robes that showed off her creamy skin and complimented her long-styled hair that kept her locks out of her dazzling eyes. Her smile, from witnessing my visual reaction to seeing a goddess before me, was more alluring than her aura.
Luckily, I was able to tell Fleur that she looked stunning before she wrapped her arms around my neck in welcome, rewarding me with a brief peck on the lips.
The reason we had to keep things brief was because some of her friends came out of the magical carriage next. They were eyeing me up and down before telling Fleur that they should switch dance partners at least once during the night. Fleur told them that she did not share, before she took my arm possessively to start our journey inside.
“I apologize for my brazen friends,” Fleur told me with a small smile.
“No apology necessary. I am just glad I didn’t have to stare down any males,” I joke, having gotten friendly nods of recognition from most of the French males I saw.
“Zast is because we all want you to take down Krum after break,” she smiles.
“Easy peasy. I am sure I won’t have an issue taking on the taller, more experienced, more built, and all-around stronger alpha male,” I reply with my own smirk.
Krum has already tried to get at me mentally, or at least I think he has. However, nothing can be known for sure until we finally get the chance to face off against each other as Commander vs Commander.
“You did not seem to ave an issue taking on my team,” Fleur pokes back.
“Well, that’s because I really wanted to get that date. As you saw, I was willing to do anything to take you out,” I reply quickly before we make our way across the cool and crisp castle grounds.
“Maybe you can do zee same with Viktor?” Fleur teases.
“I guess I could…especially if I end up feeling as good as I do right now with you by my side,” I play along.
“Such a charmer,” my date giggles before giving another quick peck to my cheek.
“And the night for us hasn’t even officially started,” I grin before escorting her the rest of the way inside.
***
When we get inside the castle my fellow roommates make their way over to me, even though their dates are a little reluctant, except for Blaise’s date.
The son of one of the most powerful Unspeakables is taking Ginny, who had no problem greeting Fleur in a welcoming manner, especially since she walked over with Astoria. Daphne’s younger sister had apparently been practicing both her French and her flirting skills with a male from Beauxbatons named Elliot.
Fleur had mentioned that the male was pretty harmless, not counting his tendency to be a bit of a prankster, which I think made him even more alluring to Astoria. She definitely was attracted to him when they met close by where we were stationed.
“All of you lady Snakes look divine tonight,” I greet them while my lieutenants roll their eyes at my pleasantries.
“Why thank you, Harry. You don’t look too bad yourself,” Tracey grins in her eye-catching light violet dress, while the other ladies give me a kind smile.
“You are one lucky lady, Fleur,” my best female friend at Hogwarts teases my date.
“Oh, you don’t know just ow luckily I am… especially when it will come to zee later part of zee night,” Fleur easily responds.
I am glad when everyone smiles at her words.
“A lot fewer observing eyes by that time I reckon,” Tracey grins, slightly impressed with Fleur’s quick response before I introduce Fleur to everyone officially.
At my suggestion, Tracey and Millicent teamed up and took Grabbe and Goyle as their dates, since it would work out for all parties involved. That left Theo to take Claire and Draco to take Pansy. I also may or may not have helped Neville ask a stunning looking bookworm, who most cannot even tell is Hermione. That is besides the girls who all got ready together at my suggestion as well.
Lavendar, Parvati, Padma, and Sue Li had accompanied Hermione from the Lion’s tower with their dates who were Seamus, Dean, Terry Boot, and Anthony Goldstein, respectively. I also saw Hannah and Susan being escorted by Ernie and Wayne from Hufflepuff. Seeing them all meant that my initial plan had worked. I am also glad that my mind shields that I put on Greg and Vinnie are working, since they seem not to be affected by the Veela allure.
“Cupid az notzing on you, mon chéri,” Fleur whispered in my ear before she took me to converse with some of her own friends who had just made their way over.
Between our two groups, conversation went quite smoothly and ended up with everyone wishing each other good luck on the next Triwizard Tournament task. However, the French students also wanted us to kick Krum’s arse for what was apparently even more of an embarrassment to them than what I had done.
I told them I’d try my best but gave no promises about Draco being able to do anything, which caused everyone but Pansy and her date to laugh.
“Haha, very original,” Draco had replied with a roll of his eyes, but he still had a light smile of amusement on his face.
What wasn’t funny was Ludo Bagman trying to rope me and my date to join the Triwizard Tournament Champions and the Castle Games’ Commanders. The eccentric man took my 'no thank you' as a final answer only after threatening to break his arm when he grabbed my own to bring me over. Luckily, the French Commander and her date agreed with me and the four of us headed inside with our bigger combined group.
However, we were not fast enough to get away from the arrival of the Bulgarian and his date.
“Viktor, you look absolutely dashing tonight,” I compliment the surprised-looking Seeker from Bulgaria and the annoyed looking female by his side.
“I hope you and your date have a lovely night,” I add with a practiced look of welcoming to the bigger male and his date, who is dressed in expensive-looking dark green dress robes.
With that, I turn on my heel, not really wanting to spoil the night by engaging with him or his blonde-haired date, to whom I give no recognition. If anyone were to ask, I will just say I didn’t recognize her with all her beauty enhancements. Plus, she already tries to not acknowledge me enough, so I figure I am doing her a favor by not interacting with her.
I don’t feel bad about what I am doing, even when Tracey gives me a warning look. She and Astoria then go over to greet them properly while I take my leave with Fleur.
“Was zat zee girl you ave a crush on?” Fleur joked at my expense, knowing of the female who wants nothing to do with me, as we continue to enter the winter themed ballroom.
They went a little overboard on decorations, but I guess it fits quite well for a Yule Ball meant for students.
“Since you are my current crush, I’d say no,” I smile back.
“She is the one who thought she’d be sneaky and be the date of my next opponent though, but that just might be a distraction to get me away from your side tonight…so I guess the question is…are you going to let her?” I give the metaphorical table a spin to counter Fleur’s attempt at humor.
My date then thinks about my response, tightens her grasp on my arm, gains a seductive look in her eyes, and then leans her body into my own as the Yule Ball officially begins.
***
The house-elves did a fantastic job with dinner but the ball itself was a little boring for my liking initially.
Luckily, they didn’t try to bring out the Commanders again after the first dance was started by the student Triwizard Champions. I danced with Fleur for all the initial slow songs, glad that Cassie had taught me every type of dance even though I never saw the need for it. By the time the Weird Sisters came on to perform, we were actually having quite a fun time.
I would spin and twirl Fleur around before she would violate any personal space between us by rubbing into my body. Our chests would either be pushed together, which let my arms protectively secure her into me, or she would back up her rear into me before interlocking her hands and fingers with my own.
We were not the most provocative couple on the dance floor since it was rather crowded with countless hormone-filled bodies. It was also nearly impossible to tell if students were dancing dirty or were just being pushed together by the cheering crowd.
“Let’s get a drink and go outside for a walk, oui?” Fleur asked me after taking my hand to lead me off the dance floor.
“Oui,” I respond, agreeing whole-hardly since I know I may start sweating soon.
The small mosh pit itself is already getting a lingering smell of dancing bodies that maybe should have applied more antiperspirant products when they got ready for tonight. Again, I mentally thank Cassie who had me overly familiar with hygienic products.
When we leave the dance floor, we are both aware of multiple people eyeing us. Most of the eyes are from my Slytherin peers, but I also see the ones who I made sure got dates to this ball as well as some French couples. My guess is some are likely wanting to ask us where we are going, but I have a plan to stop any tagalongs.
“I heard public displays of affection make most onlookers feel awkward, which makes it easier for us to get some privacy,” I whisper intimately into my date's ear.
Fleur plays along right away by giggling before turning her head to give me a drawn-out kiss as one of her hands captures my cheek while her other hand gets lost in my untamed locks, giving me the opportunity to draw her further into me.
“Will zat suffice?” Fleur smiles devilishly at me.
“Oui,” I tell her with a giant grin before we make it to the refreshment table.
Fleur and I pick up drinks before we head outside so we can get to what my date has told me will be the most enjoyable part of our night together.
We leave the dance in our own little world of euphoria, not paying any attention to all the wondering eyes of disappointment as we leave the castle for the night… We don’t even manage to make it back to catch the last song.
***
I get back into my room later than most, but it was well worth it.
After a nice stroll around outside we snuck out. I then took Fleur for a ride. I borrowed Master Ronan's flying carpet, that lets us travel throughout the grounds and into the air. I had cast enough spells to conceal us from anyone's radar, even when we went to take rides high into the sky, which resulted in Fleur hanging on to me a little tighter.
However, we both loved it before touching down in a remote area by the lake.
Fleur and I then had a little night time picnic complete with heating charms and hot chocolate, the later being brought to us due to me befriending the nice house-elves in the secret kitchen by the entrance to Hufflepuff's Common Room. They also gave us a small assortment of small cakes that we munched on as we gazed into the sky while we tried to connect stars to form images. When we were not debating the images we saw above, we enjoyed the comfortable silence of being dressed up while laying down on a picnic blanket and pillows in the company of a warm body lying next to us.
We also took a slight nap in the comfort of each others arms and did some other stuff before we made it back in under the radar right after the ball ended. We both agreed that we shouldn't try to take things any further since it was very unlikely that the two of us would work out after Fleur leaves. We both could admit that we had a lot of fun though, especially with the present she gave before I escorted her back.
"Did you fellas miss me?" I smile as I am the last one into our shared dorm, but their faces show a look that tells me something happened while I was out with my date.
"I can't even take one night off before something pops up... Who, what, when, where, and why?" I drawl,
"Technically it was not someone under your protection," Crabbe replies first like it is not too big of a deal, but even Goyle looks like he may not agree.
"The what is someone offending one of our own," Greg adds.
"It was a little after you left, and after most people took a break to go outside, which is where it took place as well," Theo adds, being content on answering two of the remaining questions but not going any further.
"The why it happened is because a foreign school's student thought that overly teasing a female Snake would get them lucky tonight," Blaise added with little emotion.
"Who?" I ask again, in a slightly darker tone, before easily going down the list of possibilities.
"Greengrass?" I continue, not feeling remotely close to wanting to have to do anything in retaliation due to the Daphne's choice for a date to the Yule Ball.
She and her family were one of the few to want to remain neutral and not align with me and my family yet.
"Yes," Draco responds before continuing when he sees my annoyed look.
"But it was Astoria who was the target," he ends before my hands turn into fists before I make them tell me everything.
***
"Bonjour fellas," I chuckle to myself as I wait for my prey.
They are taking a stroll on school grounds and are travelling in a group. Smart move on their part, Elliot was probably informed that his date, although not under my protection officially, was one of my favorite third-years.
The problem was that although most of the French students want me to take down Krum, there is still some ill will towards me. Injuring one of their Knights, who was best friends with Elliot, somehow made things justifiable.
Another illogical thought process was that since Daphne was the date of Viktor's, her little sister was okay to be a target to humiliate. Of course there had been drinking involved before the older Beauxbatons male got Astoria to go with him into a secluded area outside. I would be a hypocrite if I didn't acknowledge the allure of being led my an older student to have a little fun away from prying eyes.
Stori had recently turned 18 and was free to make her own choices since she could defend herself and had a thick outer shell like her older sister, even though she was ten times more personable. However, if Fleur changed my hair color with a spell to match the color of my older sibling's hair color, right after snogging me, before jokingly tell me I 'look better' that way...well I'd be upset as well.
It would also ruin my night if I didn't know how to react and ran back to the castle, trying to change my blonde hair back to my original brunette color while trying to avoid my friends to avoid embarrassment.
"Which one of you stooges want to whimper for mercy first?" I ask myself from my hiding place by a nearby tree.
Astoria may not want any retribution, but she is not an official ally of mine, so I'll count this as an early Christmas gift from me to me. However, there is not too much more time before we will be dismissed to go home for the holidays, so I need to reveal myself soon and teach these French boys some manners as I hear Elliot reenact his story last night to his friends who are sniggering and openly laughing at the details.
I think for a moment that my opportunity has taken away when I notice someone disillusion themselves from a powerful cloaking spell. I am also only in minor shock when I see the slightly taller Greengrass sibling march over to the males, without saying a word.
"Look! Zere is zee putain of Krum's!" Elliot laughs along with his friends. "You want a taste as well, Daffy? Maybe you can call for your sister and we can all ave some fun before zee oliday even starts, oui?" he laughs but those are his last coherent words before he grips his manhood in agony and falls down.
One of his five friends reacts quickly and pulls his wand on the incoming blonde assailant who just non-verbally cast a spell on her first target.
"Expelliarmus!" Daphne quickly casts again, knocking the wand out of the hand of the same Knight I knocked out.
"Incarcerous! Incarcerous! Incarcerous! Incarcerous! Impedimenta!" she casts even quicker, saving the impedimenta for the Knight.
She then takes a page out of my book and runs forward. The female Snake is surprisingly fast for someone... well I guess I actually can't say... now that I realize I don't believe I have ever really seen her run before.
Daphne is always so proper... so that could be a reason I am so transfixed with her... but now that she is moving like that… I am turned on by her assault... I then make my way forward, still cloaked in stealth mode.
I get to witness Daphne kick the already hurting Elliot in the groin. She then does the same to the Knight who reacts in slow motion.
"If you are mad, then take it out on me or the guy who put you in the hospital wing! I am sure he would be happy to settle any outstanding lingering feelings. One way or another, he'd end things... I know you are aware of who I am referencing... the Dark Lord Slayer," Daphne hints to the two, before turning her eyes on the four people tied up in ropes.
Wait!? Am I really known as the 'Dark Lord Slayer' among other people?
If so... way to go, Mom!
Thanks for that one. I think Dad would be proud of the name. I have to stop myself from chuckling at my own thoughts before Daphne continues. I then move closer to her, in the grassy area before the lake. I already cast privacy wards but do another casting just to be on the safe side in case things go longer then I had planned.
"I am giving you four the benefit of the doubt that you were just going along with the masses, and didn’t mean any harm. However, anyone who dirties our family's name in anyway will feel our wrath. You'd be surprised how far our reach goes in France. Please ask around this holiday to see if I am bluffing," she threatens them.
At least they are smart enough to not speak up.
"Stupefy! Stupefy! Stupefy! Stupefy!" she casts in quick succession, knocking out her non-threatening opponents.
"A Knight? I don't think so... Stupefy!" she adds before knocking out her next target.
"What to do with you?" she asks Elliot.
"I am zorry... it waz just a prank of affection," he answers her rhetorical question.
"It's funny how none of us think that is true," Daphne replies nonchalantly.
"You ave no umor," Elliot tried to argue before he groaned in discomfort.
"Who the fuck is Umor?" I ask before dispelling my stealth castings and walk over to get a good shot at Astoria's former date.
"Harry!?" Daphne exclaims in surprise.
"Where in the name of Merlin did you come from… and what are you doing here?" she asks, using my first name for a change.
"What can I say?" I reply with a shrug of my shoulders.
"Vengeful Snakes think alike," I smile before it takes a second for her to get my compliment.
"Not the right time for humor," she warns.
"Agreed. But if we are gone for any longer things might get a little more suspicious," I warn her as well.
"Potter! Pleaze, elp me!" Elliot pleas for my help.
"Okay," I reply before taking my wand out and cast a non-verbal silencio on him before following that up with a levitation charm till he goes soaring high into the air... and then he goes soaring back down after I cancel the spell.
"Stupefy!" I cast and hit him in mid-air.
"Erresto Momentum!" I cast as well to dampen his fall back to the ground.
Daphne is shocked at my attack, which gives me enough time to go over and obliviate him.
"What did you do!?" Daphne asks, half in curiosity and half in accusation, like I stole her revenge.
"Well, we can go without wiping anyone else's mind, but I couldn't have him remembering me almost killing him. As far as what I did goes… imagine falling to your death but everything going black before you reach the bottom. Now think of having that feeling of a near-death experience without being able to remember the event itself... that should mess with him for a while. Also, now they all will think you are the reason he cowers," I inform her.
"And now you are all in the clear from getting into trouble?" she rebuts.
"Is the Dark Lord Slayer ever really in the clear completely?" I ask with a grin.
"I didn't mean that to be—” she starts with tinged pink cheeks from lying and being embarrassed before I cut her off.
"If you say you are lying, than you are insulting my dead mother, just remember that," I joke with dark humor.
"Fine...but what are you really doing here?" she asks with sincere questioning eyes.
"Just was coming up with a plan to mess up some people who joked a little too much with one of my close friends," I answer honestly.
"But it looks like you beat me to the punch, or maybe it is better to say you beat me to the kick?" I smirk.
She seems to be searching my eyes before I stare right back into her own, causing her eye contact to falter.
"I think you did a lot more to him than I did, but don't be expecting any thank yous," Daphne replies while trying to put on her frosty persona.
"I don't want any thanks," I tell her as I move in closer to her.
"What do you want?" she asks somewhat apprehensively.
"The impossible, but what else is new?" I joke before continuing to invade her personal space, but for the first time she casually stays put in her place before me.
"You can't seriously mean what I think you are implying," she asks after seeing something in my eyes.
"After seeing everything I just saw you do, yeah huh I can," I reply with a laugh as I slow down my pace.
"You... you are going out with Fleur... and I had a nice time with Viktor," Daphne tries to reason and I can tell her fight has let her shields fall momentarily.
"Fleur and I had a small experiment and we both agreed to be just friends after last night," I tell her but continue when she most likely goes to defend her own date.
I was going to wait, or maybe even never tell her this, but I must accomplish my current task.
"And not to bring your spirits down or hurt your feelings, but Viktor asked Hermione first. She had to gently turn him down because I already helped Neville get the courage to ask her. Who do you think the next fourth-year female, who frequents the library and is arguably as attractive as Miss Granger, would be from Krum's perspective?" I ask her with a knowing look.
"Before you try to defend him, ask yourself if you really had a fun time patiently waiting to communicate with him in English. You may know other languages, but none that he speaks," I smile.
"Sometimes not talking can be quite pleasant," she tries to reason without success as I take my last step forward until I am standing right in front of her, and she has not moved back or made an attempt to push me back.
"I can agree to that," I respond before taking a gamble.
"Seeing you move and taking on all of these wankers at once in defense of your sister has done something to me... I also really like your slightly messy hair from the fight but... here, let me fix this," I tell her and slowly go to push back a loose lock of her hair back behind her ear.
Daphne doesn't move and just looks at me like she doesn't know what to do or how to respond. My hand then rests on her cheek, and she doesn't push it away.
"Now I got a question," I almost whisper to her.
"What's that?" she asks like she is almost in a trance of uncertainty.
"Can I kiss you?" I ask her, not moving a muscle until I get a response.
She does not reply verbally, but looks surprised at herself when she nods her head in confirmation before I move in, still giving plenty of time to back out before I take my chance. It only takes another moment before our lips go to connect together.
"Shit!" I curse when my whole body becomes insanely heavy.
I then collapse backward onto the ground before being dragged backward by an invisible pull. My whole bottom side gets raked across the school grounds before I stop right in front of an intruder powerful enough to break my privacy wards.
"Merlin, you are such a slut," her voice cackles on par with Aunt Bella.
"What the hell are you doing here!?" I curse from my gravity cage.
"We need to leave ASAP. Apparently your alliances have already caused quite a stir and we need you to rectify the mess you created," Cassie tells me without care from her space behind me.
She at least has the decency to be wearing a zippered up purple cloak, even if it is sleeveless. However, she is also wearing a light pink short skirt and lacey dark hot pink stockings underneath, with black short heal stylish boots. Long black fingerless gloves cover her arms to complete her look.
"And aren't you supposed to be smooching with that Veela friend of yours? I heard you two were quite the pair. Why were you about to kiss this snob of a Snake?" Cass questions me.
"Who the hell are you!?" Daphne asks with her wand raised at what probably appears to be an intruder to her.
"I am wittle Harry's master. What's it to you? And unwind your knickers and lower that wand before you regret it, little girl," Cassie goads her, but I am more worried about why I have to leave so suddenly.
"I'll ask you this one more time! Who are you and what do you want with Potter!?" Daphne asks again with the voice that any Lion would be jealous of.
"Currently I am saving him from a future of countless headaches," Cassie replies before her eyes turn completely pink.
In the next moment, Daphne gasps in surprise before her eyes glaze over.
"Hey! Stop that! She's a civilian!" I warn my best friend.
"Oh please, she can take it. She's got impressive mind shields for someone so young. I'll be done in a moment," Cass tells me, dismissing my words.
"That's not the point!" I shout back, fighting against her gravity binds but my best friend doesn't listen.
"I said stop it!" I roar out again as my eyes turn green before I catch my best friend's eye sight, that fights against my own.
"Awwwww, damn you little one!" she curses as I make her blink.
"Not cool!" she shouts at the image I implanted in her mind, taking advantage of her lowered defenses due to her attack on Daphne.
Luckily the blonde-haired Snake is snapped out of her daydream before looking right at me, mere moments after I cancelled my magical sight.
"What'd you just do!?" Daphne cries out.
"Gave you something fun for a rainy day," Cassie laughs.
"Come along, my pet," she ends before picking me up and throwing me over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes before turning around so I am facing Daphne but I am still immobile.
"Now say goodbye to your now ex-love interest, little puppy," Cassie further embarrasses me.
“Tell her that it's been fun, but you only like chasing toys and get bored easily once you get ahold of them. I guess that is all that needs to be said though," Cassie chuckles before I can get out a last message to the now clearly frightened elder Greengrass sister.
"Daph, stay back!" I warn her when she goes to point her wand in our direction to possibly help free me.
"We are already late, let's go!" my best friend ends, throwing multiple black spheres on the ground before we are engulfed in smoke and vanish from sight.
"Harry! Harry! Harry!?" I can hear Daphne practically scream before I hear nothing at all as Cass takes me away.
End of Part 1
AN: I thought this would be a better chapter to leave things. I have no editor so I will be reviewing this story fully before posting the next installment.
