Double Trouble and Jealousy

“We are going to try the portal during lunch again, right?” Draco asked during breakfast.

“Yeah, although I am curious about another one.” Dazai took a bite of his toast.

“Which one?” Blaise raised a curious brow.

“Well, you know the one I mentioned in the library? It was one of the most stable ones so far. It hadn’t even opened yet.”

“It’s also on the ceiling, Dazai!” Draco huffed. “We can’t go home in that!”

“True… but that doesn’t mean someone can’t fall in.”

“Are you saying it could open up today?” Blaise added.

“Well, the magic around the school has significantly stabled out compared to before… However, that one portal is currently the most active one. I can feel it rampaging.”

“If someone accidentally falls in, they’ll be stuck with us.” Draco said thoughtfully.

“I just hope it’s not Pansy.” Dazai sighed.

“You never know.” Blaise shrugged.

“When does that one open up again?” Draco huffed out.

“During the break we have before lunch. I think we should investigate. I’m getting a weird feeling about it.”

“You know, if you were able to fly on a broom, we would be able to go back through that one.” Draco put his hands on his hips.

Dazai dramatically gasped with fake offense. “It’s not my fault that those brooms are stupid!” He held his hand to his chest.

“Whatever you say.” Draco rolled his eyes.

-

“Alright gang! We are heading to the library now.” Dazai didn’t even have to gather his friends after class, they all just migrated towards him naturally.

Loyal dogs… there was truly no doubt that they were his friends!

“Oh? Did you find another lead?” Ron (HP) asked.

“Not really a lead to getting us home… It’s more like a hunch.”

“You’re going on a hunch?” Harry asked, amused.

“Yes, Harry, you’ll learn that my hunches are usually correct.”

“He’s not wrong, mate.” Ron (MaM) shrugged. Had the two of them grown closer?

“Now then, follow me and I’ll lead us there!” Dazai started towards the door and they followed. Once they stepped out of the classroom, he stopped in his tracks and whirled around to face them again.

“Hermione will lead us there!” He corrected cheerfully.

They should’ve seen that one coming.

Both Hermiones moved to the front and intertwined their arms together before confidently leading the pack to the library.

-

Once they arrived, Dazai felt the pencil-snapping magic happen which sent a sharp pain through his head.

His headache was worse today, which meant it either could’ve been from sleep deprivation or the unstable magic was causing him to reach his magical limit quicker than usual.

What a pain…

A giant portal opened up on the ceiling- it was the biggest one they’d seen so far! It looked like multiple people could fall through that thing.

And well, his hunches are always right, after all… because multiple people fell through. More specifically, two identical red-heads landed directly onto their butts.

“Wow! We did it!” Fred (MaM) cheered.

“Our plan to jump through the portal as soon as it opened was a success!” George (MaM) high fived his twin.

Dazai chuckled, amused.

“What on earth are YOU doing here?” Ron (MaM) scoffed.

“Looking for our precious little brother.” George stood up and brushed himself off.

“Oh, there he is.” Fred pointed to Dazai.

They both ran to him with open arms and squeezed him in a group hug.

Ok seriously, he needed to stand in a perimeter of electric fence the next time someone comes through!

“Oh, so Dazai has replaced me as your little brother.” Ron rolled his eyes.

“I can’t breathe.” Dazai gasped out.

They loosened their hold and wore matching grins.

“I’m so glad to see you again, Snakey!”

“Yes, I’m glad you’re safe!”

Dazai’s posse kept growing… wait a minute. Every one of the Hell’s hounds of his universe were here, except for his second in command.

“How is Blaise doing?” He asked.

The twins feigned fake offense. “What about us? Are we not that important to you?”

Dazai raised a brow and they gave up. “Blaise has been very stressed out about your disappearance, but he will be fine. What matters most is getting you back home.”

“If only it were that easy.” Draco (MaM) sighed and the others chuckled awkwardly.

“Wait a minute, who is that?” George pointed to Harry Potter who smiled tiredly. He was getting tired of the constant reminder of him not being in their universe.

“Ah, I guess I have to introduce myself again. I’m Harry Potter.”

“Huh… you’re not in our universe.”

“So I’ve been told.”

“And where is the Dazai of this universe?”

“He doesn’t attend Hogwarts here.” Hermione (HP) chipped in.

“Dazai doesn’t…”

“Attend Hogwarts?” The twins asked, sadly.

“That sounds rather boring, doesn’t it?”

“Very boring, indeed.”

Blaise (HP) silently agreed.

“Yeah I know, I’m amazing.” Dazai smirked. “Anyways, you two arrived at the perfect time! Another portal should be opening here shortly.”

“Oh? And where is that?”

“The infirmary.”

-

“Wow, everything looks exactly the same!” Fred gasped from the back of the group.

“I wonder if the secret passageways are the same!”

“Should we check them out?”

“We don’t have time!” Draco (MaM) exclaimed.

“Yeah, can the two of you chill for like two seconds?” Ron rolled his eyes.

“You’re really asking US that question?”

“Surely you’re joking… us chill? Yeah right!”

“Ugh.” Ron groaned.

“Stop the bickering, the lot of you!” Hermione (MaM) reprimanded from the front of the group.

“Woah!” They heard a gasp down the hallway.

“Fred, am I seeing doubles right now?” George (HP) asked.

“I was just going to ask you the same, George.” Fred (HP) giggled.

“Seems like the little Alt Snakey from another world keeps bringing along his friends.”

“Seems like it.” The twins (HP) stepped up to the twins (MaM). All of them wore matching grins with a twinkle in their eyes.

“Fred, do you know what this means,” George (HP) asked.

“Double the trouble!” Both Freds chirped in unison.

Ok, this doubles thing was really getting freaky.

“I hate to break up- whatever THIS is.” Draco moved his hand around to make a point. “But we don’t have time for this. Another portal should be opening up soon and I am not going to miss it!”

Normally Dazai would joke around and make fun of Draco, but something, or rather someone, was keeping his eyes forward.

He needed to see his Blaise again.

“You’re welcome to tag along.” Dazai smiled.

The two sets of twins all exchanged glances before happily agreeing.

As the group made their way to the infirmary, the sets of twins excitedly exchanged stories about their pranks. No doubt they were taking notes and collecting ideas from the other pair.

They really were double the trouble!

-

They walked into the infirmary and were greeted by Madam Pomfrey.

The more encounters Dazai had with her, the less he felt anxious and the more guilt he felt.

“It should be any second now, right?” Hermione (MaM) asked, interested.

“Please open, please open, please open…” Draco chanted under his breath.

Dazai closed his eye to get a better feel of the magic in the room. When he opened his eye back up, he had some bad news for their group.

“It’s not going to open.” He sighed. “The magic is too stable. This one is a dud for now.”

The group had a mix of relieved expressions and sad ones.

“Again?!” Draco huffed and Blaise (HP) patted his back.

“No use in complaining about it now. Let’s check the slytherin common room again tonight.” Dazai commanded the pack.

“Dazai is right, and besides, lunch has started. We better go eat before we are left with empty stomachs.” Hermione (MaM) chipped in.

Dazai wouldn’t mind the empty stomach, but he knew Blaise would never allow that to happen.

-

Draco sighed a little too much throughout lunch while Blaise piled Dazai’s plate up higher than usual.

“I’m not going to be able to eat all of that.” Dazai winced.

“You could try.” Blaise shrugged.

Dazai groaned in response and started eating his food. If he were to get through this plate, he would need to start while he can.

Or he could just wait it out until lunch ends.

He met Blaise’s gaze and saw the concerned puppy dog look in his eyes.

Dammit, he couldn’t say no to Blaise’s puppy dog eyes…

“Fine.” Dazai rolled his eye and stuck his fork in his chicken more aggressively than usual.

Blaise smiled, satisfied, as he turned back to his food.

Once Draco stopped throwing a minor fit, the three of them engaged in their normal conversations at the table. Talking to these two was pleasant for Dazai. They brought him a sense of comfort that he didn’t get from anywhere else.

He stiffened his face to keep the smile from appearing. He didn’t want these two to know that he has feelings. Gross!

-

“Hey boss!” Fred (MaM) cheered happily as he stopped Dazai in the hallway.

“We are going to go cause mayhem around the school! You coming, boss?” George (MaM) excitedly asked.

“You call him boss? That’s brilliant.” Fred (HP) added.

“Don’t worry, boss, we shall take wonderful care of your big brothers, boss!” George (HP) added an emphasis on ‘boss’

Dazai raised an amused brow. “You pulling a prank?”

“Yes, we are combining our knowledge of pranks to create the ultimate prank!”

“It’ll be the best one the school has ever seen!”

Dazai chuckled. “Sure, why not? It’s a good way to pass the time. So, when is this prank going to start?”

“We need time to prepare our tools, so let’s agree to meet before dinner.”

“Sounds good!”

“This is so exciting! We will see you later!” The pairs of twins waved and Dazai waved back fondly. The four of them sure did feed off of each other's energy, didn’t they?

“A prank, huh.” Blaise smiled.

“Does Blaise want to join in? You know, Blaise typically joins in our schemes back home, too.”

“I’d like to, but Pansy asked if I could meet her before dinner to talk about something.”

“Oh?” Dazai’s expression shifted from playful to serious. “About that?”

“Dunno. I guess I’ll have to find out later.”

“She’s probably going to complain.” Draco added in.

The three of them were making their way to their next class alone since their Gryffindor friends all broke off from the group during lunch.

“She might.” Blaise shrugged with his normal bored expression.

“Probably about me. Nothing new there.” Dazai giggled.

-

Dazai’s headache was starting to hammer in his skull a bit more. A few days ago the headache was more tolerable, but this…

He hardly made it through his classes but let out a sigh of relief once the last one was over for the day.

“You don’t look so well.” Draco pointed out.

“Well that’s just rude.” Dazai pouted.

“Is it because you haven’t been sleeping well or is it because of your magical sensitivity? You’ve been doing a lot more spells in class here with no limits.” Draco raised a brow.

“Something like that.” Dazai tiredly sighed.

“You still haven’t been able to sleep?” Blaise asked. “Is it because you’ve been sleeping next to Draco?”

“If that were the case, I’m sure he would’ve said something sooner.”

“None of that matters now! What matters is that I find the twins soon.” Dazai complained, sounding more tired than usual.

“Well you have fun, boss. I’m going to sit this one out.” Draco huffed.

“I figured. Well, I’ll see the two of you later then.”

They went their separate directions and dazai somehow made his way to a secret passageway he knew the twins would be in.

They’re just predictable like that.

“Dazai’s here!” Fred (MaM) gasped excitedly.

“You mean little Alt Snakey.” George (HP) chimed in with a smirk.

“Nah, I thought he was Boss.” Fred (HP) chuckled.

“Boss! Are you ready to hear of our prank?” George (MaM) smiled, excitedly.

“Let’s hear it.”

They went into detail about their plan to set off glitter bombs and stand around, waiting for a professor to catch them. Then, the four of them would run around and sneak into hidden passageways to avoid being caught.

“Sounds amusing.” Dazai giggled.

Something about this plan didn’t seem like it would go well, but what mattered more than anything was having fun with his friends.

-

Snape (HP) was growing weary. He sped walked through the halls, determined.

The sight earlier made him sick to his stomach.

The Weasley twins- two pairs of them! Doubles!

Making a total of 4. He felt very unsettled about their presence.

He had been exchanging letters, via the portal in the great hall, with himself from the other universe every day since his first letter, so he knew the run-down on Dazai’s relationship with those damn brats.

He knew something was going to happen- it was only a matter of ‘when.’

He needed to figure out what it was and put a stop to it soon. He was still cleaning glitter out of his classroom but when he questioned the boys, he eventually let them go with a warning, having no evidence to punish them.

He will get them this time!

-

Dazai and the twins happily ran around during their prank. 5 glitter bombs went off and were followed by screams throughout the hallways.

Their adrenaline was cut short, however, when Snape as well as several other professors managed to round them up.

And that’s how they ended up standing in the Headmaster’s office, smiling innocently at Dumbledore.

“Why did you decide to pull a prank like this?” He put on a sly smile.

“We decided that this school just isn’t lively enough.” Dazai shrugged and shook his head. “Sometimes making things interesting is for the greater good!”

“And what about those other times?” Dumbledore raised a brow.

“Sometimes probably wasn’t the word- I meant every time.” He grinned.

“I see. Am I right to assume that you’ll take your punishment this happily as well?”

Dazai startled very slightly but managed to hide it well.

“I don’t know, what is this so-called punishment, anyway?”

Were they… negotiating?

“I have one in mind.” Snape joined in the conversation and the twins (MaM) perked up.

“Aww is Snape saving his son?” George (MaM) giggled.

“That’s Dadsnape for you!” Fred (MaM) giggled back.

“I… I have no children.” Snape got a strange look on his face.

“Yeah, that’s because you don’t have your very own Dazai here!”

“Ah, imagine not having Dazai! I pity you poor saps!” George wiped a fake tear from his eye.

“What do you mean Dadsnape?” Fred (HP) asked, noting the future ammunition against the greasy man with thankfulness.

“There is a rumor going around that Professor Snape is Dazai’s dad. We’ve all coined the term ‘Dadsnape’ as a result.”

“Yeah, it’s because he pays especially close attention to Dazai. One might even argue he’s his favorite student.”

“Aww, that’s flattering, and so very true!” Dazai joined in the teasing.

Snape was growing more irritated by the second. Was he feeling… embarrassed? Dumbledore noticed this with curiosity.

“Severus, the punishment.” He interrupted.

“The five of you will be in charge of cleaning up all of the glitter around the school.”

“That would normally be fine and all, but the three of us need to get back home tonight after dinner.” Dazai brought up.

“Well then you all better get started, quickly.” Snape didn’t back down.

Of course…

-

“This sucks!” Dazai whined as he swept some glitter into a dustpan that George (HP) was holding.

“We might end up missing dinner at this rate.” Fred (MaM) reminded.

“There’s not much we can do about that, though. We need to get home through that portal tonight.” George (MaM) finished cleaning up his pile. Onto the next one.

“And besides, we could just sneak into the kitchen before curfew and grab a bite if we need to.” Fred (HP) smiled.

Dazai wouldn’t need to grab a meal that late. Skipping dinner was fine.

“Dazai, aren’t you coming to dinner?” Blaise and the rest of his friend posse stopped in the doorway on their way to dinner.

“Sorry Blaise, I’ll have to skip a meal for now.” Dazai waved around his broom to make a point.

“Want some help?” Hermione (HP) walked in and grabbed a broom, not waiting for Dazai’s answer.

Everyone else followed in like it was only natural.

“Which other areas need to be cleaned up?”

“The hallway on the second floor, the boys bathroom on the first floor, and Lockhart’s classroom are left.” Dazai smiled.

“How did you plan on finishing before it’s time to go home?” Draco (MaM) glared.

“Ah, I was just going to wing it.” Dazai shrugged.

“Of course.” Ron (MaM) huffed.

“Hermione and I will head to the hallway on the second floor. Both Rons and Harry can head to the boys bathroom, and I guess both sets of twins should head to Lockhart’s classroom. The other three of you should stay here and finish Snape’s classroom.” Hermione (HP) commanded. Seems like she’s as good a leader as Hermione (MaM) is.

They nodded in unison and got to work.

Dazai felt… Warm? Fuzzy? Eww, gross…

It was nice that he had his friends to help him out like this, though.

“Dazai, I’m not letting you skip dinner.” Blaise swept quickly.

Ah, of course he wasn’t… What a drag…

-

“Man, my body aches all over.” Dazai whined.

“At least it’s done. I’m glad we made it just in time for dinner.” Harry smiled.

“Eating that fast made my stomach hurt…” Dazai pouted.

Blaise seemed to enjoy Dazai’s pouting face. But why though?

“Did you ask Draco (HP) to clear the common room again tonight?”

“Yeah, I pulled him aside before I talked to Pansy.”

“What did she want, anyway?”

“It’s not important.” Blaise shrugged.

Keeping secrets, huh…

“Well whatever you say.” Dazai skipped beside his big group of friends as they made their way to the common room.

“So this is really it, huh?” Hermione (HP) smiled.

“Hopefully.” Dazai giggled which earned him a glare from Draco.

“He means yes, it is.” Draco responded, hopeful.

“Ugh, what is SHE doing here?” Dazai scoffed.

They walked up to the painting that guarded the Slytherin common rooms with Pansy and a group of other Slytherins Guarding it.

“Pansy, what the hell are you doing?” Dazai asked, annoyed.

“None of you are allowed in our common room anymore! I’m putting my foot down!” She stomped to make a point.

“Pansy, we need to get through in order to go back home.” Draco (MaM) insisted.

“Enough! You’re not even my Draco.” She turned her head and crossed her arms.

Seems that despite what she said, she still had a hard time saying no to any Draco.

Dazai felt a snap in his head.

The portal.

“It’s open!” Dazai called out while holding his forehead.

The others could see the visible pain on his face.

“We need to go, now!”

“I told you, they are not allowed in!”

“Pansy, you’re being unreasonable.” Blaise tried.

“And you, Blaise, are a traitor! Didn’t I tell you earlier that you are spending too much time with this guy?! You’re completely neglecting myself and Draco. Aren’t we your friends, too?”

Blaise stayed silent, looking defeated.

“Nevermind that, Pansy! You never have to worry about us again if you just let us through!” Draco (MaM) pleaded.

“It’s no use.” Dazai raised his hand. “It’s closed now.” He breathed out.

Their group looked to Pansy with disdain.

What now? Is their only bet really the one in the infirmary?

Before anyone could say another word, the painting opened and someone stepped out. Their eyes met and it seemed like time had paused for what seemed like forever.

Dazai’s eye widened and he forgot to breathe for a moment.

“Blaise (MaM)!”

-

Blaise (MaM) sat in the spot where he knew the portal would open again, and very soon.

The Slytherins learned to clear out of the common room during that time, trying to avoid suffering the same fate as their school mates.

He shot to his feet when it actually opened!

‘It’s open?!’ He went up to it and waited.

He waited a second, and then another second, and then he realized he was too impatient to wait any longer.

He was going in after Dazai!

When he stepped through, he glanced around the room at the wide eyes staring at him.

Did it work? Everything looks the same, except there were more students in here.

Only one way to find out.

He made his way to the exit and pushed it open.

He heard a gasp when the door pushed the girl guarding it off to the side.

He didn’t pay her much mind however, because his eyes immediately found Dazai and he couldn’t for the life of him look away at that moment.

“Blaise!” Dazai cheered.

He did it. He was finally here. Dazai looked like his usual self, except more tired.

His feet moved before he could even register what was happening and when he finally snapped out of his surprise, his arms were already wrapped tightly around Dazai.

Dazai melted into the touch.

Remember when he said he’d need an electric fence for the next person who walked through that portal… yeah, maybe he didn’t after all.

He wrapped his arms around Blaise (MaM)’s back.

Everyone watched with either fond or surprised expressions. Well, everyone except for Blaise (HP) who wore an expression that no one could name.

Once they finally broke apart, they met eyes again and Dazai smiled up at Blaise.

“I’m glad to have you back.” Blaise smiled down at Dazai.

“Didn’t we agree that emotions were gross?” Dazai teased.

“Did I agree to that?” Blaise hummed.

“This is a touching reunion and everything…” Draco (MaM) started. “But we should probably regroup now that the portal has closed. Now what?”

“Let’s go where we went last night and chat a bit.” Harry suggested. The others happily agreed.

“Sounds like a plan.” Dazai nodded. Blaise (MaM) intertwined his fingers with Dazai’s and the two walked side by side and hand in hand.

Blaise (HP) followed behind them, slowly, not sure what to do next.

They all sat around in a big circle on the cold, stone floor once again and chatted.

Dazai noticed that his Ron and Hermione were getting really close to Harry… Just like the Ron and Hermione from this universe.

The pairs of twins excitedly babbled to each other as well. Seems like they didn’t have enough time today to really go at it like this.

His Blaise and Draco were catching each other up on the situations in each universe, with Draco adding that he really wanted to go home. Blaise shrugged and added that as long as he had his friends, he was fine with whatever.

Dazai smiled fondly at his large group of friends. His friend group doubled, and he felt butterflies.

He snapped out of his thoughts when Blaise (HP) stood up. He wore his usual bored expression that held a hint of sadness behind it.

“I’m going to head back to the dorms now.” At everyone’s asking glance, he started walking away.

They watched until he disappeared around the corridor. Dazai felt uneasy about the situation… Blaise (HP) didn’t seem like himself ever since Blaise (MaM) showed up…

“Ah, I’ll be right back.” Dazai stood up and quickly followed after him.

They all stared, surprised.

“Do we go after him?” Draco (MaM) asked.

Blaise (MaM) shook his head. “Nah, let’s give them some space.”

He knew what that look on his own face meant, and if he were in his shoes, he’d feel the same way.

“Blaise!” Dazai called out.

Blaise stopped in his tracks but didn’t turn around.

“Geez, you do know that you walk so painfully fast, right? I had to run to keep up.” Dazai sighed, playfully, trying to lighten the atmosphere.

It didn’t work. Blaise dropped his shoulders and lowered his head.

“Blaise? What’s bothering you?”

“Oh, nothing, it’s just… you have your own Blaise now, so I just felt a bit out of place is all.”

He’s… jealous?

“Blaise… you knew I’d have to go home soon and that I’d be back with my own Blaise.”

“I know.” He sighed. “I think there was a part of me that still didn’t want to believe it.”

Oh no… was this conversation about to become something dreadful?!

“Ever since I met you.” Blaise turned around. His eyes met Dazai’s.

Not that line again…

“I feel like I finally have someone/something to care for. This is the first time in my whole life. I just… I don’t want to lose you like this.”

“I know... I don’t want to lose you either.” Dazai gave a sad smile.

Blaise perked up a bit.

“Hey, I have an idea.” Dazai moved closer to his friend. “I’m sure I exist somewhere in this universe, even though I don’t attend hogwarts. You should find me.”

Blaise considered the idea. “Would that actually work?”

“It didn’t take very long for you to win me over. Just be yourself.”

“… I’ll do that.” Blaise nodded, determined. He wanted to find his own Dazai as soon as he could. It might be difficult to do while still attending Hogwarts, but maybe someday…?

“Good.” Dazai patted Blaise on the shoulder.

“Can I ask for one last favor?”

“Anything for my second in command.”

“I’m not your second in command, remember?”

“Ah, but you have been in this universe.”

“…right…”

“So what did you want me to do?”

Blaise stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Dazai.

“I just… wanted a goodbye hug, is all.” He spoke with his face pressed against Dazai’s hair.

Dazai indulged him and wrapped his arms around him.

Two Blaise hugs in one day… He needed to stop before these gross feelings got worse!

Blaise pulled away with a sad smile. “It’s been fun, my friend. May we meet again in this universe.”

Dazai nodded and Blaise waved as he walked back to the common room.

Dazai was left standing by himself in the hallway. He took a deep breath, collected his thoughts, and pasted his party mask back on. He headed back to his friends.

Everything would be okay.

Later that night, Dazai was able to finally sleep decently enough since arriving, even with Draco’s snoring right next to his face. Was it because of the headache?

-

The next day their group, minus Blaise (HP), attended classes as normal and met up before lunch.

“So I have good news and bad news. Which should I give first?” Dazai smiled.

“I need some good news.” Draco (MaM) whined.

“The bad news is that the magic has stabled out even more significantly today.”

“What happened to the good news?” Blaise (MaM) chuckled.

“I just wanted to see Draco almost cry.”

“Thanks…” Draco said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes.

“The good news is that the magic in the infirmary is more unstable than any of the portals have been so far!” Dazai clapped his hands together.

“So we are going home for sure this time?” Ron (MaM) perked up.

Dazai nodded. “We are going home.”

Cheers rang out from the group, some bittersweet and some happy (mainly Draco).

“Now, let us March down to the infirmary where we should say our final goodbyes!”

Both of the Hermiones led the group again, arms intertwined, as they chatted about how much they’d miss one another.

The group was full of loud banter and giggles.

Dazai looked to his Ron as the red head chatted happily with both Harry and Ron (HP).

He seemed to naturally be drawn to him, like they were destined to be friends. Same with Hermione.

Dazai smiled fondly. Why didn’t they have a Harry?

-

They reached the outside of the infirmary and it was time for final goodbyes. The group all started giving each other hugs.

“Oh ronnikins! We sure will miss you!” Fred (HP) whined with his arms around Ron (HP).

“Never forget us for as long as you live, little brother.” George (HP) added in.

“You guys! I’m your Ron!” Ron (HP) shoved them off of him.

“Oh…” They smiled. It was evident that they knew exactly which one he was all along. They just wanted to mess with him…

“Ronni!!!!” They squealed as they threw themselves at Ron (MaM) who looked equally as annoyed.

“You still have the me from your uni- get off of me!” He shouted.

The other pair of twins laughed hysterically.

“Remember the books I recommended for you to read.” Hermione hugged Hermione.

“You remember the ones I recommended as well.”

Ron and Hermione from Dazai’s universe also gave a goodbye hug to Harry, who hugged them tightly like he didn’t want to lose them.

“Did you ever say goodbye to Blaise?” Draco asked Dazai.

“Yeah, last night. Did you?”

“Yeah, this morning.” Draco nodded.

“Seems like we are all set, then.”

“Dazai.” Harry smiled as he stepped up to his new friend. “I hope we can continue to be friends.” He smiled.

What did he mean by that? They were separated by a whole rift.

“I-.” Harry started but Dazai felt the snap. He groaned and held his head. The pain was intense.

“Dazai-!” His friends started to yell.

“Get to the portal now! This is our chance!” Dazai called out.

They rushed to open the door. Madam Pomfrey smiled, relieved, at their presence. “You better hurry!” She reminded.

The Hell’s hounds rushed over to the portal and crawled in one by one.

First was Hermione, then Draco who cut the line, then Ron followed by the twins. Blaise went in next and it was finally Dazai’s turn. But before he could enter, he felt a hand wrap around his wrist.

“Harry?”

“Mate, I wanted to ask you for one last favor!” Harry called out quickly.

Dazai nodded to him seriously as Harry readied himself.

“Please-.” He pleaded. “Please find me in your universe and bring me to Hogwarts. I’d like for us to stay friends. Not just with you, but for them as well.”

Dazai knew what he meant. He wanted Ron and Hermione to be friends with him as well.

“You got it. And in return, you have to find me here.”

“That’s the plan.” Harry smirked.

He let go of Dazai’s arm and he crawled through.

After another minute, the portal finally slammed shut.

It was over.

-

“That brat is finally gone.” Snape (HP) huffed, sadly.

He sat at his desk but noticed a folded piece of paper on it.

He opened it up and read it to himself.

“I’m going home today! Please take good care of the others for me!

-Dazai.”

He chuckled to himself.

That problem child…

And just like that, his week-long headache was suddenly gone.
