Introduction
A virus. The first case of the virus was in the wizarding world, reported that the victim was being mindless, clothed shagged, and eyes rolled to the back of their head. It was easy to stay away from the first victim, but the stupid people rushed head on and tried to attack. Those people got bitten, spreading the virus even further. Many had called the mindless creatures, "Z.W.M.". Standing for, Zombies With Magic. If it was a Muggle that was infected, it was "Z.N.M.". Zombies, No Magic.
The virus was shown to have stages. 5 Stages.
Stage 1: A day after the victim is wounded by either a ZWM or ZNM, the wound becomes infected. The wounds will heal faster easier if treated before then. Wounds can still be treated after infection but it will need to be done quickly. No side symptoms yet. Infection cannot be spread in the first 2 stages.
Stage 2: If the victim does not realize of the wound, they will in this stage. Pain will start to form at the wound, meaning the virus is spreading through the body. Everywhere will itch, especially the infected area. No matter how hard one itches, the victim will not be satisfied. Wounds can no longer be treated, there needs to be a cure.
Stage 3: Victim is starting to lose their mind. Stage 3 is when the cure (if we find one to stop the zombification process) will not work past this stage. The itching and pain is worse. In some cases the victim will end up scratching their skin until it bleeds or until the skin ends up ripping off, causing even more pain than before.
Stage 4: Victim has no sense of self. If in stage 3 they have not started to rip off their skin, they will in stage 4. Itching and pain has not subsided. Victim becomes violent and angry at anything and everything for no apparent reason. Virus can be spread during this stage. Stay away.
Stage 5: Victim is now lost. They have turned completely mindless. A zombie. Parts of their skin has ripped off, the pain and itchyness is gone but the once human isn't in their right mind and doesn't realize it. No cure for turning the zombies back yet. Stay away.
Harry closed his notebook after writing what he knew about the virus. He had started journaling ever since the start of this apocalypse. To keep track of his mind. He felt lost. So many people he knew and loved had already died or disappeared, supposedly dead. It seemed like just yesterday everything was fine. Harry was at Hogwarts during his 6th year, with his friends.
After the outbreak, nothing was the same.
