This Is Hard To Say, But I Like You

Sirius woke up more excited than he had been in a while. Like a child on Christmas day. The thought of spending nearly his entire day with Remus was enough to make his butterflies get butterflies. He showered quickly before Remus said he would arrive and put on his favourite colone that was had a clean cotton type smell.

*ding dong*

Sirius ran to the door. As he opened it he was immediately greeted with a warm hug. God, Remus' hugs were so fucking sweet. It felt like heaven is his arms.

With the embrace over, Remus stepped inside and the two got to work. They started with hair. Sirius began styling his hair like Emily's which was, admittedly, rather time consuming although not worrying as the party started at nine and it was only six.

"Perfect." Sirius said looking into the mirror feeling satisfied.

"You're always perfect." Remus said looking up at Sirius from where he was sitting.

Sirius blushed profusely before smiling a shy grin at Remus.

Next was costumes. Sirius slipped on his costume with ease but needed help with the corset because of the lace at the back.

"Darlinggggggg."

"Yes love?" Remus replied.

"Can you help me with the back?" Sirius asked sounding slightly needy.

"Of course, love." Remus replied getting up from the couch.

Remus' warm hands began tightening the lace and Sirius' breath hitched at the contact. Remus seemed to like this as when he was done he was goon grinning at him.

"Oh fuck off." Sirius said throwing up a finger

Remus just chuckled.

As Remus got ready all Sirius could do was watch. How could he not? Remus was mesmerising and so fucking perfect. It was impossible to look away. Remus noticed this and began grinning devilishly.

"Like what you see?" Remus asked making eye contact with Sirius while doing his buttons.

Sirius swallowed hard.

"I want to see more." He replied equally as cheekily.

"You can, I'm all yours." Remus replied easily.

"Fuck me." Siruus said flustered.

"Sure."

Sirius' jaw dropped.

"What." He asked absolutely shocked.

Remus only winked in response.

'Arsehole.' Sirius thought rolling his eyes but smiling.

It was around eight when they had finished and 'Good God' Sirius thought they looked good together. Like really good.

"Damn we did a good job." Remus muttered clearly pleased by the results.

"Yeah we do, but then again it's hard not to when you're as hot as me." Sirius replied with a wink.

"I won't argue with that. The eyeliner you have done is certainly endearing." Remus said.

Sirius smiled. He had worked really hard on his eyeliner today and it was more exaggerated than usual, and had hoped Remus would like it.

"Should we go?" Sirius asked "James' house is like fifty minutes away."

"Alright then, let's go." Remus replied before grabbing everything he needed. Sirius did the same.

Once they made sure they had everything, Remus extended his arm for Sirius to take.

Sirius quickly took it blushing as he did, while Remus began leading them out the flat and the wear his car was parked.

Sirius attempted to open the car door himself but Remus promptly stopped him before opening the door himself for Sirius.

"Only the best for my love." Remus said seriously.

Sirius bit his bottom lip. 'God he is hot.' He thought stepping in.

The inside of Remus' car was clean and smelt faintly if vanilla. Sirius breathed inhaled heavily before Remus stepped in.

"You ready?" He asked.

"Yep." Sirius said.

They began driving falling into light conversation. When Remus paused.

"You okay?" Sirius asked slightly worried.

"Yeah it's just... this car ride has had no music whatsoever."

Sirius laughed out loud. But agreed.

"Can I put on something, darling?"

"Go ahead." Remus said gesturing to the cars speakers.

Sirius quickly bluetoothed his phone to the speakers before picking out Lady Stardust by David Bowie.

Remus smiled appreciatively at the song choice as he listened.

"Y'know," he began "This song actually reminds me of you, like the beginning part."

Sirius blushed, that was the best compliment he had ever received.

"Thank you darling." He said lovingly. Remus simply smiled.

They arrived at the house hearing the music already playing.

When they entered, James immediately greeted both of them with a hug, much to Remus' surprise.

"You must be Remus." James said smiling that James smile.

"Sirius never shuts the fuck up about you. And honestly I can see why you're an absolute snack, actually skip snack a whole meal." James had many positive attributes but a filter? Absolutely not.

Regulus appeared next to him.

"Hello, I'm Regulus and please ignore him. But I must admit he's right." He said shaking Remus' hand politely.

Sirius turned to look at Remus who was smiling shyly while thanking the both of them.

"Can I get you any drinks?" James asked.

"Vodka, please." Remus replied.

"I'll take the same." Sirius added.

James quickly ran off while Regulus brought them to say hello to everyone who was already there. It seemed they had been also to arrive as everyone including Barty and Evan who were usually ten minutes behind schedule were already there.

Sirius hastily introduced Remus to his friends who one by one all made comment on how attractive Remus was, but then again who wouldn't?

Remus then quickly introduced Sirius to Lily, Mary, Emmeline, Peter and Pandora.

"Hi I'm Lily." Lily said as Sirius shook her hand. She was dressed as Daphne from Scooby Doo her red hair gleaming in the light. She really was very pretty.

"You're hotter in person." Pandora remarked innocently as Sirius greeted her.

Sirius grinned back at her. He liked her already.

Remus looked embarrassed.

"How come they know what I look like?" He whispered to Remus once the greeting was over and they had turned away.

"Erm," Remus said looking at his feet. "Well we kinda sort of stalked you on Instagram."

Sirius cackled before responding, "Don't worry I did that to you too."

Remus breathed out looking relieved he wasn't the only one.

All of a sudden James called out, "Right bitches and man-hoes. We are gonna play a game cus why the fuck not? So I'm voting seven minutes in heaven? Unless anyone has any other ideas."

Sirius felt himself smiling at the sheer boldness of his friend. He looked next to James to see Regulus looking up at James like he was the most precious thing known to man. 'Sappy twit.' He thought.

Everyone quickly agreed to this as they were all tipsy and saw no problem with it.

They sat in a circle as James explained the rules and placed a bottle in the middle. He glanced at Sirius who have him a thankful smile before beginning the game.

"Right so who wants to spin first?" James asked quizzically.

"I'll start." Sirius said eagerly.

James handed the bottle to him grinning at him. Sirius grinned back. They didn't need to talk to understand what the other was thinking.

"Fucking hive mindset." Barty said looking at the interaction.

He was in his boyfriends lap and both were dressed as clowns. He was about to say something else it seemes when Evan kissed him soundly to shut him up.

Sirius rolled his eyes and began to spin. As the bottle then round and round, he felt slightly anxious and silently prayed it landed on Remus who was sitting opposite to him. As if the God's answered his prayers the bottle stopped pointing directly at Remus. Remus looked up at Sirius smiling shyly.

"Okay so go to me and Reggie's bedroom and we'll start the timer." James said grinning like a mad man.

Getting up quickly Sirius grabbed Remus' wrist and led him to the bedroom. Shutting the door behind him he looked at Remus.

Remus had a look on his face Sirius hadn't seen before. He seemed to be in deep thought and afraid he had upset him, Sirius began,

"Remus I know you are quite shy so if you don't feel comfortable doing this we can ju-"

Sirius hadn't finished his sentence when Remus picked him up crashing their lips together. Instinctively Sirius wrapped his legs around Remus' waist. Slinging his arms around Remus' shoulders his hands already in Remus' hair, as Remus pinned him to the door. Remus kissed like a fucking dream. Soft yet hungry and aggressive and perfect in every way. Sirius gasped as Remus flicked his tongue at Sirius' lips and Sirius parted his lips at the invitation. As their tongues fought for space, Sirius let out a breathy whine which seemed to spur Remus on. Remus lightly squeezed his arse, making him moan slightly in Remus' mouth to which Remus groaned, "Holy fuck love."

Remus then began kissing his neck and nibbling lightly on the skin making Sirius tilt his head back banging it against the door.

"Darling, how long have upu wanted to-ugh fucking hell." He said panting and gasping as Remus reached the nerve area on his neck and began open mouth kissing it.

Remus paused to look Sirius in the eyes, Remus' eyes were filled with an intensity Sirius hadn't seen before like a starved man and it made him shiver with delight.

"I've wanted to kiss you since the day I saw you, so politely shut the fuck up."

Remus continued while Sirius tugged on his hair.

"Putain." He moaned.

Remus immediately crashed their lips against each other before panting,

"That was the hottest thing you've done since I've known you."

Sirius grinned, of course Remus would have a French kink.

When they realised they only had about a little over a minute left Remus put Sirius down and they began to talk.

"That was... wow." Sirius said still processing. Sitting down on the bed beside Remus.

"Yeah." Remus replied, his lips red and swollen making him look even better Sirius thought.

*silence.*

Sirius breathed and using all his courage he asked.
"So, um what you said when we were y'know... did you mean it?"

Remus looked up from his feet to meet his eyes.

"Yeah. It's just," he paused. "I've wanted to kiss you since I saw you, you're so pretty and funny and perfect and honestly I couldn't help but want to." He said looking so sincere it made Sirius' heart want to leap out his chest.

"I wanted that too Remus." Sirius said putting a hand on his thigh.

Sirius looked down at his own feet now, before saying,

"This is hard to say, but I like you." Sirius continued lifting his other hand to cradle Remus' cheek.

"Really?" Remus said looking doubtful.

Sirius kissed him again. "Really."

"I love you. You don't have to say it back it's just it feels like we are written in the stars and I know that's corny it's just I've never felt this way about anyone else let alone in only six months." Remus said looking at him like he was so desperately in love making Sirius' heart flip.

"I love you too." Sirius said before hugging him.

"Will you be my um-" Remus began.

"Boyfriend?" Sirius added for him. "Of course, darling."

They kissed again before leaving.

When they arrived back to the group all Sorius had to do was smile at James for James to shout, "HOLY FUCK I'M GONNA BE AN UNCLE."

"James technically I would be the uncle, not you." Regulus said, correcting his boyfriend with an annoyed look.

Sirius turned to see Mary pass fifty pounds to Pandora.
He raised an eyebrow in their direction to which Remus said to his friends,

"You had a bet!?"

Pandora simply replied, "Of course we did. I mean the only people oblivious to you two, was you two."

"Pandora!" Evan and Dorcas exclaimed. And with that everyone erupted into an infectious laughter.

Sirius linked his hand with Remus' nuzzling close to his boyfriend as they both began laughing with the others, savouring the moment and appreciating life for the beautiful thing it is.

And if there had been a knock on the door that night, it wouldn't haven't been heard over the laughing.
