"would you wanna go get coffee?"

It was a Saturday meaning Sirius didn't have work today which was good. There was nothing to do and Sirius prepared himself for a boring day ahead until he got a text from Marlene, it read,

Marls Ratatouille The Third: siriusssssssss

Sirius: What?

Marls Ratatouille The Third: why are you such a dry texter?

Sirius: shut up

Marls Ratatouille The Third: No, anyway me and James are planning on going to the park for a picnic wanna come?

Marls Ratatouille The Third: that applies to both of us idiot.

Sirius: real i fear

Marls Ratatouille The Third: see you later Black

Sirius: see you.

Sirius went straight to his closet to get an outfit. it wasn't very warm today so he would need to wear one of his leather jackets. Quickly he picked out a white shirt and some baggy jeans. He then added his favourite docs before getting dressed. He then went into his bathroom and put eyeliner in his waterline and underneath his eyes before smudging it he liked how it gave a depth to his eyes. He brushed his hair a bit and added some oil to it to hydrate before he left it alone, leaving the bathroom. He adjusted his septum piercing and put in his favourite moon earrings which were noticeable but not too much. He walked in front his mirror inspecting his outfit and was felt contented with it not only that but it made him feel good. He then grabbed his keys, wallet, lipbalm (he's not a savage after all) and a pack of cigarettes. He walked briskly to the park as it wasn't too far from his flat. Taking care when crossing the road.

He arrived there and greeted James and Marlene and the trio walked till they found and empty spot to set up their picnic. James had brought cakes and buns along with sandwiches of almost every kind there was; chicken, ham and cheese, cucumber and cheese, jam and BLT. Marlene had brought the drinks and had a range of fruit juices. Hungrily they tucked in as they talked and laughed and made jokes with one another. Marlene and James had decided to discuss some stupid topic and to Sirius' relief the topic of his love life didn't come up and as he wasn't keen on talking about it but then again, there was nothing to talk about when it came to said topic which was what bothered him.

He brought out the pack of cigarettes and offered one to Malene as James didn't smoke. Once Srius' cigarette was almost finished he went to go find a bin when he bumped into someone.

"Oh shit! Sorry." the person said.

And Sirius knew who it was almost instantly. That same warm and honey-like voice. Remus.

"It's fine." he said not wanting to look them in the eye from embarrassement.

"Oh, it's you." Remus said with a look of surprise and something Sirius couldn't quite put his finger on, on his face.

"Yep it is. Well,hi, um my name's Sirius." he said trying to keep the nerves out of his voice.

"That's a pretty name, unique but still pretty." Remus said warmly, Sirius was already growing flustered. "My name's Remus but you already knew that."

"So what brings you to the park?" Sirius asked slightly flushed from how close they were standing. And trying to start conversation.

"Nothing much." Remus huffed.

"Cool."

Remus looked slightly disappointed as he began to walk away, and Sirius decided to ask Remus one last question before his courage left him.

"Would you wanna go get coffee?" Sirius said-actually he had practically shouted it at him, "Not now but at some point?"

Remus smiled looking pleased and it made Sirius feel like he had just earned a reward for his bravery. "Sure. I'd like that. But um-it might help if we got each other's numbers so we could plan it. Sirius hadn't thought of that. He nodded and reached to take out his phone when he realised he.left.it.at.home. Despair filled him before saying to Remus,

"Fuck. I'm so s o so so so so so sorry I'm such an idiot. I left my phone at home do you think could write it down instead?"

"Lucky for you I have a pen." Remus said unfazed.

Sirius extended out his hand and turned his palm up to Remus so he could write the number down. Sirius couldn't help but stare at Remus like he was under a love spell. God he was so perfect.
Once the ordeal was over with they both went their respective ways.

When he arrived home early that evening he texted the number he had been given to make sure it was the right one.

Sirius: Hi, is this Remus?

Unknown: Yeah, it is.

Sirius smiled before quickly changing the contact name.

Mine: I was thinking we could go to Amour Cafe? I heard they serve really good lattes.

Sirius: okay, sure! Tell me when your schedule is free and we'll meet then.

Mine: okay.

Sirius put down his phone and looked up at the ceiling his face cracking into a sunny smile. He felt so happy and had little to no explanation for it other than Remus. And while Sirius thought of Remus and him together one day and pictured them going on dates in cute places, Remus could only feel disbelief and the nagging feeling that Sirius just wanted to be friends and nothing more though, that stop his own imagination however.
