12 Grimmauld Place was a dreary place to raise a child, let alone three of them. Sirius, the oldest by twenty-three minutes, was very rebellious in his four named days alive, he was ever the protector of his younger twin Carina and brother Regulus. Sirius always jumped in front of their mothers wand when she wished to curse or hex his flesh and blood. Carina kept wishing on their ancestral magic that someone of their family, preferably their uncle Alphard Black, would save them from their mothers cruel words.
Sirius stood before their raging mother, trying to hide his distraught siblings from her stinging words, “Worthless, utterly useless the three of you. No one wants a marriage contract for you, you disgusting wholly valueless brat!” Walburga yelled at her middle child,” And you boys, disgraceful behaving like children instead of the heirs you are meant to be.”
The floo lit up and out stepped Druella Black nee. Rosier and Cygnus Black, Walbugas sister-in-law and brother.
“Walburga put your wand down. What in the name of Salazar do you think you are doing? Raising your wand to your children, my niece and nephews. They are four and five years of age, you should not be hexing your children lest you want them to fear the very magic that runs through their veins.” Cygnus yelled, the siblings using it as a chance to bolt and hide in their aunt Druella’s skirts.
Druella wordlessly brought the children into her arms comforting them before they panicked and had an accidental burst of magic. Krecher popped into the dinning room with three large bags floating behind, handing them over to Druella, a promise of harm should she and her husband harm his young masters hiding in his eyes. Druella receiving the proof she needed flooed the children back to Cygnus and her manor.
Cygnus, noting the children had been removed, cursed up a storm before leaving his sister barely breathing on the cold floors. Arriving back home Cygnus took note of his oldest Bellatrix, only two and ten wrapping her arms around Sirius who sobbed into her shoulder with such an intensity it was a wonder how long he’d been holding the tears back. He knew then that taking the children away from his malevolent sister was for the greater good of his family name.
Two decades later, at the wedding of Carina Druella Black and Bartemus Crouch junior. He knew he had done right by his children; Sirius, now Lord Black married Pandora Rosier and Regulus, a proud potions professor and Narcissa’s closest confidant. It was the joint effort of he and Sirius that got Bellatrix to marry Rodulphus Lestrange and in the end the pair had a daughter identical to her mother apart from her eyes which were the same sapphire of her father who was joint at the hip to her older cousin Luna Black who had the looks of her mother but bravery and heart of her father.
Nearly two-hundred years on from the day Cygnus and Druella took in their niece and nephew the prophet wrote:
“Cygnus Black joins his wife fifty years after her death surrounded by his family:Bellatrix, Rodulphus and Celeste Lestrange, Andromeda, Edward (Ted) and Nymphadora Tonks, Narcissa, Lucius, Draco and Cassiopeia Malfoy, Lord Sirius, Lady Pandora, Luna and Evan Black, Carina and Bartemus (Barty) Crouch, and Regulus, Severus, Remus and Romulus Snape”
