Chapter 4
It was late in the morning when the first explosion echoed through the air, a couple minutes later when the explosions became closer to one a moment the word came zombies.
"That's a shame ," Harry muttered, peering through his binoculars at the advancing horde. "Well, I guess it's time to put up the barrier pulling out a weathered map from his backpack. He spread it out on the ground, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
In the Great Hall, Minerva McGonagall stepped forward, her wand gripped tightly in her hand. "Mr. Potter, if you would allow me, I have the perfect spell for this situation," she said, her voice steady and calm despite the rising dread.
Harry nodded, trusting McGonagall's experience and wisdom. "Go ahead, Professor."
“Piertotum Locomotor!” cried Professor McGonagall.
And all along the corridor the statues and suits of armour jumped down
from their plinths, and from the echoing crashes from the floors above and
below, Harry knew that their fellows throughout the castle had done the
same.
“Hogwarts is threatened!” shouted Professor McGonagall. “Man the
boundaries, protect us, do your duty to our school, and look out where you step.”
The animated suits of armour and statues surged forward to confront the zombies. Some were lost to the mines, but the majority pressed on.
The clash unfolded in slow motion: sluggish zombies grappling with statues moving like molasses, gaining ground inch by inch.
"Now we put up the barrier,"Harry instructed.
The teachers raise their wands "Protego Maxima. Fianto Duri. Repello Inimicum."
A shimmering, translucent barrier began to materialise around the perimeter of Hogwarts. The protective spells intertwined and reinforced each other.
"Longbottom´s you will find your query in the history classroom. Do you wish for backup for taking her on,"Magni said, his voice ringing through the entire School despite him not raising his voice.
"Will handle it , but thank you for the offer," Neville replied, "mum dad time for Vengeance."
Alice and Frank stepped forward, their eyes steely with determination. The time had come to confront Bellatrix Lestrange, the woman responsible for their torture and insanity.
Neville led his parents through the hallowed halls of Hogwarts, each step echoing with the ghosts of battles past. They reached the History of Magic classroom, a place that had once been a sanctuary of knowledge but was now a potential battlefield.
The door creaked open, revealing Bellatrix Lestrange standing in the middle of the room, her dark eyes gleaming with malevolence. She laughed, a high-pitched, maniacal sound that sent chills down their spines.
“Ah, little Neville neat mummy and daddy to protect him? How sweet,” Bellatrix taunted, twirling her wand between her fingers. "But you can't stop me. None of you c—"
"Bombarda Maxima."
The spell erupted with immense force, hurling Bellatrix backwards and splintering desks and chairs in its wake. Neville advanced, his determination evident as he raised his wand high. Flanking him, his parents wore expressions of fierce resolve.
"You think you can defeat m—"
"Diffindo."
The spell cut her arm but she caught it and slammed it back on, reattaching her arm.
Bellatrix's laughter echoed through the classroom, a chilling sound that sent shivers down Neville's spine. Despite the setback, she seemed unfazed, her eyes gleaming with madness.
"Is that the best you can do, Longbottom?" Bellatrix taunted, her voice dripping with disdain. "You'll have to try harder than that to defeat me."
"Expelliarmus!"
The spell hit Neville's wand with precision, sending it flying out of his hand and across the room.
"Crucio!"
Neville's mother, Augusta Longbottom, reacted swiftly, stepping in front of her son. The impact reverberated through the room, sending shockwaves of pain through Neville's mother. She staggered but remained on her feet, her face contorted with agony. Neville's father, Frank Longbottom, moved to support her, his expression a mix of concern and determination.
"Reserare."
The windows blow open, letting the sunlight in, the moment the sunlight touches her she starts burning , her screams echoing through the room as her skin sizzled and smoke rose from her burning flesh. Bellatrix's eyes widened with shock and pain, her wand slipping from her grasp as she staggered backward, trying to escape the searing light.
"Neville," Frank Longbottom said, his voice strong and filled with resolve, "we do this together."
"Confringo!"
The spell erupted from their wands, engulfing Bellatrix in a fiery explosion, but as the Blast subsided she was not there, in her place was a cloud that fled through the window.
"Where did she go?" Neville wondered aloud, his brow furrowed in confusion.
"Good job she will be out of the fight at least a couple hours," Magni said again, his voice coming from everywhere and nowhere.
In the Great Hall, Dumbledore stood before the assembled defenders of Hogwarts, his expression grave yet determined. Patiently waiting for the next stage of the war.
The wait ended when Hagrid walked into the room , his massive form taking up the entire doorway.
"The giants are coming," Hagrid announced, his voice a rumbling baritone that carried through the Great Hall. "They're on their way, and it looks like they're bringing' trolls with 'em."
Harry grabbed a small mirror "Cedric, engage in a bombing run."
Cedric's voice crackled through the mirror, determined yet tinged with urgency. "Understood, Harry. I'm ready."
A couple moments later the sound of Cedric humming the Ride of The Valkyries permeated the Hall, before being joined by explosions outside. The ground shook with each blast as Cedric Launched a series of explosive attacks against the approaching giants and trolls.
The tremors from Cedric's bombing run echoed through the castle, causing dust to fall from the ceiling of the Great Hall.
"Professor Lupin, make your way to the owlery," Magni said . "Greyback and his pack are attempting to breach the wall."
Remus Lupin nodded, his expression grim but resolute. "I'm on it."
Harry added "Show them you need no moon."
Remus Lupin nodded again, a determined glint in his eyes. "I won't let them get past me."
As Remus neared the owlery, he was suddenly confronted by Fenrir Greyback and his pack of werewolves, all in human form.
"Greyback," Remus growled.
"Lemin , where were you? I called my pack, including you," Greyback snapped. "Never mind that. We need to breach that barrier."
"But it's midday and a new moon," Remus countered.
"That's what I said," Greyback replied, his voice low and menacing. "But the Dark Lord doubts me. This is a test of loyalty."
Remus withdrew his wand and traced shimmering letters in the air:
Lemin Rusupin
With a wave, the letters rearranged themselves:
Remus Lupin
"Remus Lupin, son of Lyall Lupin. I remember you. Your father deserved it—"
"But did I deserve it?" Remus interrupted, his voice unwavering. "I was just a child."
Greyback sneered "I gave you a gift that you rejected, but it's never too late to accept it. Join us, and together we can show them the power we hold."
Ignoring Greyback', Remus swiftly revealed a bone bracelet on his arm, Malar's collar. With a deft movement, he activated it, transforming into his wolf form.
What in hell? How can you transform in broad daylight?" Greyback exclaimed, his pack shifting nervously.
Before Greyback could react, Remus lunged. The air filled with snarls as a fierce struggle erupted.
