Private Matters
Y/N sat atop her teachers desk as she listened to the discussions of her students. She smiled at the active involvement and how everyone shared their opinion, occasionally chimming in herself on the book.
Her attention was disrupted when she saw someone enter her classroom from the corner of her eyes. When she looked to see who it was an spotted a familiar face, she smiled and looked at the clock. "Alright class, if you would like we can end this discussion five minutes early, unless any of you have any more comments?"
When no one spoke up she took it as a sign and dismissed everyone. Once the classroom was empty, she walked up to the visitor and was immediately pulled into a hug. She giggled at the reaction and returned the hug, "Lovely to see you too Arthur."
She let go of the wizard and walked over to the stack of papers she has on her desk from the paper assignment her students had turned in. She picked up the stack and turned back to Arthur. "How's the family doing?"
Arthur smiled and folded his hands behind his back, "they're doing well. Merlin, if you could see how much they've grown."
Y/N picks up her pen and reads through the top paper as she walks alongside Arthur, "I've heard plenty of the trouble your family's gotten into. Though I feel as if I have a number of congratulations to give you."
"What do you mean by that?"
"You have one son that's to be married. I heard the twins opened a shop in Diagon Alley." She looked up to Arthur briefly before returning to her grading, "not to mention Ron being prefect, though that happened a year ago..."
"Alright, I understand. I suppose a lot has happened since we last spoke- what; two or three years ago?" Last time the two had met in person was when Sirius had escaped Azkaban. Arthur had promised to inform Y/N of any changes, though all of those had occurred in the form of letters.
"Three years ago, when Sirius went on a man hunt by himself..." she wrote down a few notes on the paper before putting it at the bottom of the stack and reading a new one. "I heard of his passing, how's everyone holding up?"
"About as well as you'd expect. I send my condolences so you as well, I hear your husband passed this summer?" Arthur watched as Y/N froze in her tracks, staring blankly at the handful of papers. He placed a hand on her back and sighed quietly, "Apologies for bringing it up, I'm sure you haven't had much time to grieve yourself."
Y/N shook her head and walked a little more, struggling to grab her keys as they reached her office. She managed to unlock the door and lightly kicked it open before setting her papers down on her desk, moving the two graded ones to a different pile. She walked back to her door and removed the sign labeled, 'Dr. Scott' before finally closing the door behind her.
Arthur looked curiously around the office, staring at all the minor details that reminded him of the wizarding world. He set his eyes of the paper sculpture of a phoenix and picked it up, "extordinary..."
"It's called origami," Y/N sat at her desk and reached into one of the bottom drawers. Inside the drawer was a locked box that she pressed her thumb to, opening it. She lifted up the lid and took out her wand that was hiding within it, keeping it low to the ground as she waved it, casting two different spells of the door.
Arthur, feeling the presence of the magic, set down the paper phoenix and took a seat in one of the chairs. "I had received your owl saying you wished to speak with me, did something happen?"
Y/N put her wand away and relocked the box, "I recieved a letter from Remus two days ago," she opened the top drawer, and took out an opened envelope, handing it to Arthur. "He was informing me that two students had been sent to my home in the wizarding world and appeared to be snooping around."
Arthur took the letter out of the envelope and read it carefully, Y/N taking the opportunity to continue grading papers. He finished reading and neatly folded the letter, placing it back in the envelope, "You believe they might be looking for your bracelet?"
"It was never properly hidden, just placed into its box where it couldn't be opened without pure-blood." She looks up at Arthur for a second, "People looking for that bracelet gives me reason to believe he still thinks I'm alive."
"Y/N, he killed you fifteen years ago, watched you die right in front of him." Arthur tried to reach for her hand to comfort her, but she pulled away and continued working. "It wasn't until a month later when the wizarding world learned it was possible to survive the killing curse."
"Then why is he trying to find my bracelet for any reason other than a locating charm? It won't listen to any of them meaning it's nothing more than a scrap of metal." Y/N flips to a new page, reading carefully.
"I understand your concern, but what does any of this have to do with me?" Arthur watches Y/N's movement, worried for his friend.
"I fear if my hunch is correct, it's a matter of time before he finds me and learns of my life here." Y/N sets down her pen and looks Arthur dead in the eyes. "I need you to take my family away for a little while, just until I can guarantee their safety."
Arthur's eyes widened and he shook his head countless time, "No- I couldn't do that to them." He stands up and leans his hands on the desk to support himself, "they just lost their father, Y/N; do you really wish for me to take them from their mother as well?"
Y/N sighed, "I don't wish to leave them either, but they aren't safe anymore. Alan's death was proof of that."
"You genuinely believe his death was caused by magic-"
"I know it was!" Y/N shot up from her seat, slamming his hands on her desk, tears threatening to fall from her eyes. "I- I used my wand to test for magic. He was killed by a magic user- by the killing curse!"
Arthur stood in scilence, he had know Y/N for years, but he'd rarely seen her break down. She kept up with appearances; as did most purebloods. "Do you know who could've killed him?" He watched as Y/N's hands balled into fists, knuckles very quickly turning a shade of white.
"I couldn't see their face, but their voice rang in my head- that stupid laugh and cheery tone as they spoke said it all." She looked to Arthur, eyes filled with desperation. "I need my kids to be safe. She didn't find them that night...but there's no way in hell she didn't tell him."
"You're not making any sense, who's she-" he stopped for a moment, the words setting in. There's only one female Death Eater that's openly known, "Bellatrix..."
Y/N walked over to Arthur, desperation filling her eyes. She placed her hands in his shoulders, "I beg you Arthur, please get my kids out of London. Hell, out of the UK if you can."
"We both know you shouldn't be separated from them, your youngest is what, two?" Arthur looks at the desperation in his friend's eyes, trying to figure out ways to argue with her. He already felt guilty lying to his family, but he promised to never tell anyone, not even Molly. He sighed in defeat, "I can try to find a place for them-"
He was cut off briefly by Y/N jumping and hugging him tightly, "-but," he continued, "they'll have to be in the wizarding world till I find said place." He watched as Y/N pulled back in retaliation and held his hand up to stop her, "I can't guarantee safety in the muggle world where I can't use magic. They either follow me to the Burrow or I can't help them."
Y/N thought to herself, she's tried as much as she could to keep her kids away from magic. Ellie was the only one considered old enough to learn it, but she could tell the other three could use magic as well. Despite everything, she knew Arthur was right; he cant protect them much in the muggle world where magic usage is completely illegal. She nodded faintly and walked over to her coat hanger to grab her purse.
"Ellie should be playing with her siblings outside around this time." She finds her small notepad and scribbles down and address before handing it to Arthur, "If you meet any sort of resistance, let Ellie know you're a friend and that this is about their father's passing." She returns behind her desk and hears her alarm go off; a magic user was knocking on the door.
"Shit..." Y/N opened her bottom drawer and grabbes her wand to undo the spells on the door, she then took out a small vial, tossing it to Arthur, "drink this then head straight to that address." She sat down and reached for the top of her papers, reading carefully.
Arthur drank the vial without much thought and immediately starting coughing and writhing; polyjuice potion. He felt his body change as he walked towards the door, opening it carefully.
"Do you need something?"
Arthur stepped away from the door, observing the person stepping into the room. He didn't recognize them as anyone special, but he also didn't trust their intentions. "Sorry to bother you, I wanted to speak with you about something."
"Not a problem, dear." Y/N looks to the disgused Arthur and smiles, "thank you for your assistance, I'll let you know how everything turns out. Say hi to the Mrs for me." She waved to him as he walked out the door. When the turned the corner, Arthur immediately spotted Draco standing outside the door and couldn't stop the small scowl forming on his face. He thought he had hid it, but the glare Draco had given him suggested otherwise.

Arthur walked in a circle, burping every so often as the last of the polyjuice potion wore off. He was mostly admiring the design of Buckingham Palace, while also trying to spot the people he was looking for. He stopped for a second, spotting a teenager holding an infant as two younger girls danced around her. 'Found them' he thought as he watched them from afar.
He waited til the two younger girls had run off before walking up to the teenager and tapping her shoulder, "Excuse me, ma'am, are you, perhaps, Eleanor Scott?" He watched as the teen took a cautionary step back and help her younger brother tighter. "No,no. No need to worry, I just need your help with something."
"Look, I don't know who you are, or how you know my name, but I'm warning you to stay away from me and my siblings." She glared at him and was ready to grab hold of the closest item near her that could be thrown...which was mainly just a bunch of pebbles.
"I'm a friend of your mother. She ask me to look after you guys for a while." Arthur handed over the address Y/N had given him to prove it was her handwriting. "I'll be taking you back home with me until I can find a safer home outside of London."
"Why the hell are you saying this, where's my mother?!" Eleanor lowered her tone a little as to not disturb her brother, "she's not coming with us, is she?"
Arthur frowns a little and shakes his head, "she believes they found and item that can track her down and doesn't wish to risk your safety."
Eleanor looked over to her two younger sisters, who were skipping and laughing with eachother, before looking back to Arthur. "You said we're staying with you? That's in the Wizarding world...isn't it?"
Arthur nodded his head, "I'm sure it won't be as nice as the home you have now, and it'll be a little cramped as our kids are with us for break, but you'll get used to it."
Eleanor sighed and swayed side to side in response to her brother making a sudden movement. "Fine, on two conditions." She looked back at her sisters with a smile, "One, you tell me exactly what this is about. And two-" She smiled at Arthur and holds her head up high, "you teach me a few spells."
Arthur furrows his brows and looks a little confused at that statement, "I beg your pardon?"
"Teach me a few spells. Y'know, with a wand?" Eleanor feels her brother move around a lot more and squats down, setting him down but refusing to let go of him. "Mom had gotten me one a few years back as a birthday gift, but we never spent much time practicing since she didn't want me to get in trouble."
Arthur nods his head and laughs a little as to how those were her only conditions. "I can give you a spellcasting book if that'll make you feel better."
Eleanor looked up and nodded before turning her attention back to her infant brother.
"Now, as to why this is happening..." Arthur cleared his throat, "your mother didn't say much, she only wished to say it involved your father's passing-"
Eleanor immediately shot her head up and stated at Arthur, "does she think they'll be back for them?" She looks at her younger siblings in a moment of panic.
"Unclear, but we can't take any chances." Arthur looks at the small child beside Eleanor and smiles, remembering when his own kids were that little.
Eleanor picked her brother back up, "Tori! Nicky! It's time to go back inside!"
The two girls ran up to their sister and immediately focused of Athur. "Sissy, who is this?" The younger one asked other meekly and hid behind her older sisters.
Eleanor laughed and placed a hand gently on her head, ruffling her hair a little, "this is a friend of mom's, he said we'll be staying with him for a bit." She looked to both of them, trying to reassure them as she reached into her pocket to grab her house key and handing it to the two. "You two go pack for a little vacation, okay?"
"What about Mama?" The younger one looked at her sister, "why isn't she here?"
Arthur knelt down and tried to help out, "Your mother promised to stay behind and look after the place." He did the best he could to give a reassuring smile.
"But-"
"It's alright, Nicky..." Eleanor knelt down as well and looked at her little sister. "I assure you mom won't be away for long." She looked at the two and smiled a little micheviously, leaning closer and whispering to them, "ᵖˡᵘˢ ᵐᵒᵐ'ˢ ᶠʳⁱᵉⁿᵈ ᵖʳᵒᵐⁱˢᵉᵈ ᵗᵒ ˢʰᵒʷ ᵘˢ ˢᵒᵐᵉ ᵐᵃᵍⁱᶜ."
The two got really excited hearing this and rushed off in the direction of their home. Ellie wasn't too worried about this as the lived right across the street and she could watch them to ensure they safely crossed the street. She stood up and turned to Athur, a little more serious, "Let me speak with my mother first, then we can go."
"Miss Eleanor I couldn't-"
"Just Ellie is fine, I don't need formalities. Diagon Alley isn't far from here, you know that." She squeezed her little brother tighter and sighed, "I'll give you some money in case they wish to go shopping. I just want to make sure our mother will be okay."
Arthur tried to argue but knew she was right. He nodded and folded his hands behind his back, "I'll wait here for you guys to return. Do hurry though...your mother had some visitors appear as I left her office."
Eleanor nodded and quickly walked away being sure to not disturb her brother as she crossed the street and rushed to her home to help her siblings pack.
