Chapter 3
The last month or so before Harry boarded toward Hogwarts was spent between reading hia new books and helping his aunt at keeping the house clean.
While reading his new books Harry even tried some simple spells that was described on the book. Some of those spells had diferent wand movements and Harry noted that the electricity like feeling in his body, no, his magic changed with different wand movements and incantation awakening his curiosity. Could him mold his magic without a wand and incantations?
At his first attempts Harry hot nothing more than a huge headache due to not know how to mold his magic, or even made it flow intentionally and yet he keep trying.
Just like that September 1st arrived and Harry was brought to King Cross Station without really knowing how to get at the gate 9¾. Luckily he overheard a woman talking about the muggle around the station. Going in that direction he found a red-headed woman followed by other five red-headed children of different ages.
"Excuse me. But could you tel me how do I get into the platform?" Harry said shyly at the woman.
"Is this your first time going to Hogwarts?" Asked the woman. "This is also the first time for Ron too."
Harry looked surprised but nodded in afirmation as he quietly followed them.
Once they arrived between the platform 9 and 10 ghe eldest run straight through the wall and disappeared followed by the twins before the woman turned and looked at him.
"You just need to go straight at the wall, run if you are nervous."
Nodding at her Harry began to push his cart straight at the wall before starting running a little and before he noticed he was at another platform looking at a bright red train. Once again pushing his cart Harry started looking for a vagon where he could enter the train.
Once inside the train looking for a compartment was trivialbecause it would takesome time for the train depart.
Now installed alone in a compartment, but not knowing what to do with the time Harry pulled a book to read when someone opened the door to the compartment.
"Excuse me. Is this compartment occupied? " Said a red-headed girl pulling her own baggage.
"No. Fell free to sit-down." Answered Harry while closing the book.
"Oh. Thank you. I'm Susan." Said the girl.
"No problem. I'm Harry by the way."
Soon they started talking about Hogwarts and what they expected from the school.
When the train departed they both looked at the station and what wa been left behind in silence for a few minutes before a new girl, Hannah, joined them and they returned they talk about the school and their experiences with magic. Before long a bushy haired girl appeared looking for a toad that another boy had lost but with no luck at all.
Around lunch time a witch passed pushing a cart full of treats for sell and Harry, curious, bought one of all while Susan just bought a few pieces of cake an chocolate frog.
Along the afternoon they talked some more about they live before Hogwarts while being interrupted a couple of times by a pale blond boy and the redhead from before Harry boarded the train. Both of them just looked at the compartment before leaving.
It was starting to become dark when Susan proposed for them to change into their robes for Hogwarts and Harry blushed when he saw the girl pullin her clothes from the baggage without paying much attention to Harry.
"What are you waiting for?" Asked Susan
"Er... I'm a boy, and I don't think we should change here." Answered Harry
"I know you are a boy. I'm just taking my clothes to change at the loo."
Harry blinked and also started pulling his clothes to change them at the loo. Where he noticed a mirror and saw his own reflection, pale skin, shoulder length red hair tied in a low ponytail bangs covering his scar, those bright emerald green eyes and a face that didn't looked either male nor female.
Now that both of them had changed all they could do was wait for the arrival at the Hogsmead Station where the first year students were called by a really huge man that later guided them to board a little fleet of small boats.
While crossing a huge lake with dark water all the first years gasped awed by the imposing image of the castle ahead of them. No description they heard or picture they saw was capable of capturing the greatness of the single castle known as Hogwarts.
Inside the castle they were guided towards a small room while awaiting for thre other students and the whole great hall get ready for them. What apparently wasn't fast enough as two boy started to argue about their families and if Harry had shown his face or not.
Soon professor McGonagall come and guided them through the great hall and placed a stool in feont of them and over the stool an old and tattered had that soon began to sing about the school and the four houses there.
Finished the singing professor McGonagall pulled a roll of parchment and started calling the new students for the sorting ceremony.
Hannah and Susan were both sorted in Hufflepuff.
As the sorting progressed and many students were directed to either of the four houses Harry became more and more nervous. And finally...
"Potter, Harry Potter" caled McGonagall
Soon Harry sit-down at the stool and had the hat placed over his had, covering his eyes.
"Hmm. Interesting." Said a voice inside Harry's head. "I can see traits of each of the four houses in you and at the same time none of them is strong enough to overrun the others. Maybe I should hear you out, or just place you with your new friends at. HUFFLEPUFF! " Announced the hat to the grat hall.
