Energy
“Wake up, Draco,” came a quiet voice. He felt Hermione small hand gently rubbing his arm.
“Mmmph, want you in bed with me…take off your clothes and join me,” he muttered. Draco tried to turn over but instead fell onto the floor with a jolt. “What—?”
Hermione smiled as he sat up blearily, rubbing his eyes. “You fell asleep in Teddy’s tiny armchair, silly goose. Are you okay?”
“Yeah, just wrung out…I must have flown him through the air at least a hundred times. Worst arm workout I’ve ever had, even Robards never worked us that hard in boot camp. Teddy should be a trainer for the Aurors.”
“Aww, my poor tired baby,” teased Hermione. “Did you forget you’re a wizard and could just levitate him?”
“He wanted me to lift him manually,” grumbled Draco as he stood up, trying to rub out the soreness in his back from falling asleep in a too-small chair. “Said it felt more like riding a real dragon that way.”
“And of course you indulged him, you big softie. No wonder why Teddy loves it so much when Uncle Draco babysits.” Hermione massaged his arms gently. “Well, Andromeda and I are done with our Christmas shopping, so let’s go home. And then if you’re not *too* tired, I’d like a turn riding the dragon, Draco.” She winked as she turned and left the playroom, and suddenly Draco felt a new burst of energy.
