Tired Tabby

While the four boys chatted and got to know each other better, their Transfiguration professor was making her way, not downtown, but towards the infirmary where her wife most likely was. Minerva had been stressed for weeks, with Albus shoving all his papperwork to her, Albus not telling her any of his plans, Albus treating her like she was his pet not colleague, actually most of her problems were from Albus Dumbledore himself. She was also stressed about Remus but even then Albus was adding onto her worries about her son. So before she decked the, probably decaying, old man she decided to see her wife, Madam Pomfrey.

When she entered her wife's office, she wasn't expecting anyone else to be there minus Poppy herself. So when she saw her oldest friends Pomona and Rolanda chatting with Poppy she froze up for a moment. "Cat got your tongue Mins?" Rolanda asked as she took a sip of her, what Minerva assumed, coffee. She quickly rolled her eyes "Didn't expect to find the lovely Pomona and you in here." Poppy scowled at her lovers banter but before she could say anything a shoe was thrown at Minerva's chest. Poppy also noticed Rolanda was now missing a shoe. "What has Dumbledore done now?" Poppy asked instead of addressing Rolanda's shoe. Minerva quickly sat down next to her and curled up into her side, "How do you always know?" she stared up at Poppy. "Because I know you far better than anyone else does."

Minerva quickly turned her face, hiding away from everyone's eyes as her face started to go a deep red. "If you two are just gonna flirt than I'm leaving." Rolanda pretended to gag while Pomona gave her a gentle nudge "You were the one too set them up." the head of Hufflepuff reminded before adding on, "Though if there's some gossip than say it than flirt."

Minerva sat up again while Poppy took her hand into her own and gently squeezed it. She knew Dumbledore had a way of frustrating Minerva to the point that she had once nearly quit, she would have if not for Poppy quickly stealing her away and kissing her for a lot longer than she would like to admit. Poppy, Pomona and Rolanda were not fans of how Dumbledore treated Minerva, the amount of times she had a breakdown because of him or collapsed from exhaustion because she was being overworked was ridiculous. And did the great wizard ever see his wrongs? No.

"We were discussing the war and how we could help," Minerva began "I suggested that we should set up a therapist for those who are being affected by the war and those who just need it for other reasons." she explained, gaining nods from the 3 other witches. "But he completely ignores me and just starts going on about using students as bloody soldiers! Children!" Minerva exclaimed waving her hands around in anger, which everyone in the office could share. They all talk about how wrong Dumbledore is but all go quiet as they realise they can do very little to stop what the Wizarding World believes to be a great man.

After Pomona and Rolanda leave, Minerva returns to be position of curling up against Poppy's side, much like how a cat would. Poppy seemed to understand that Minerva was finished with talking and instead played with the women's hair, it was one of Poppy's favourite things to do when she is bored. She always need something to keep her hands busy and playing with her wife's hair is the perfect way to do so. When Poppy glances at the clock and sees it is only 1PM. The students would arrive at 5PM and that would mean having to keep her relationship with Minerva a secret.

So instead of finishing what jobs she needs to do, she relaxes into the sofa and holds her wife. Who had fallen asleep much to Poppy's delight, she was always nagging at her to rest more. Especially after Minerva collapsed last year in October, she had been doing her normal jobs in her office when all of a sudden she dropped. If it wasn't for a student called Molly Prewett walking in after she heard a bang than Merlin knows how long it could of been till the witch was found on the ground, or if she woke up and pretended nothing happened at all.

Poppy quickly shook her head away from that memory and focused on how adorable Minerva was when she slept. She looked so relaxed for once and not like she was on edge of being attacked or screamed at. Poppy couldn't believe some days how she ended up marrying Minerva but was always happy that she did. She heard a purr and looked down at her wife, to find a tabby cat now took her place and was waking up. Poppy knew what the cat wanted and picked the cat gently up and laid down, the tabby cat meowed her detest at being picked up but quickly melted into a puddle as she sat ontop of Poppy and laid down before returning to purring away.

Later on Pomona and Rolanda would return to ask if they needed any help since they finished what they needed to do. What they found instead of a busy matron and no transfiguration professor was a sleeping matron with a sleeping tabby cat ontop of her. Pomona smiled while Rolanda sighed to hide her laughter. They would finish what their sleeping friends needed for them. They probably owed it to them. "Does this make Minnie a top?" "Rolanda no-"
