“Shut up Padfoot this is not the bloody time.”
“Don’t tell me to shut up Remus! I have something important to tell youu!”
“And you chose to tell me this important thing as soon we’re doing the most dangerous prank of our fucking lives?”
This prank was truly one of the most dangerous prank’s they’ve done, and not because it would harm anyone but, Remus had calculated all their detentions and their two suspensions and if they were to get caught they all would be at risk of expulsion,
Not that it would really damage Remus’ future if he were expelled. He already had minimal chance of having a long term career with his “furry little problem” (as James would call it). The other marauders on the other hand had bright futures ahead of them, Sirius already had a significant amount of wealth from his uncle and working was only optional, James had his parents and they would always support him, and Peter had a job already waiting for him at his family’s business. He hated thinking of the inevitable future but with it so near it would be futile not to worry.
Remus and Sirius were only the back up of this prank and possibly the distraction if they were to see anyone heading their way on the Map, or more specifically The Marauders Map, which could track anyone at Hogwarts.
James and Peter were the highlights of this prank, since it was Petes idea and James was the most skilled at this charm.
What he hadn’t expected was for it to go horribly wrong.

Evan was in his happy place. He was smoking cigarettes in the astronomy tower with Barty and Dorcas while Regulus played his violin, he only ever played when he was deep in thought about something important but everyone silently agreed not to discuss it right now, they were relaxed, they didn’t need to stress about stuff right now.
“Mr. Rosier. Mr. Crouch. Mr. Black. Ms. Meadowes! Report to my office NOW! Smoking at this age! In this school! How dare all of you!” The group of Slytherins were startled by Professor McGonagall yelling at them they had thought no one was there, and now all of them would be probably expelled or killed by their parents when eventually found out.
“Professor! I was smoking, not them!” Regulus suddenly interrupted. “I admire you trying to cover up for your friends but, I witnessed them smoking firsthand .” He continued arguing to their surprise until Filch (the caretaker) came running looking for McGonagall stating that he caught a bunch of gryffindors in midst of a prank. They were all still sent to her office to wait while she dealt with the situation.

“Oh Godric sword! I just had an amazing idea!” Lily shouted getting Mary and Marlene (her best friends) attention. They all had been brainstorming on what could be a good last year club they could join and until now their only choice had been between chess or astronomy club. “We should join Professor McGonagall’s new club! Her glee club! She mentioned this last time I went to help her with her classes!” Mary immediately agreed as wherever Lily went Mary would follow, even if she sometimes appeared like a stray dog according to Marlene. “Im not sure Lils.. none of us have ever done anything related to singing..” Although she agreed with Marlene, Lily was the smartest of us three and she was always right. “Don’t worryy Marls you’ll be alright! Plus you never know you could meet your soulmate there! She stated with a wink. Lily agreed and that was that.

“Since you boys want to fool around and charm the portraits to sing then i’ll give you a choice, You boys can join my newly formed glee club and sing there, or be expelled.” They all sat there shocked, James knew that this prank would push their limits but to anger his favorite professor into making this choice was shocking “Professor.. did you mean suspended?” “Mr. Potter I think you heard me loud and clear. You all are too old to be making these choices and with all your detentions and suspensions this is the only choice.”
“We’ll join your club Professor.” Remus stated before the other marauders were finished making their decisions. He wasn’t going to let them even consider expulsion.

“Smoking..! I cant believe it! In all my years of teaching..” Regulus heard Professor McGonagall muttering to herself. “Im sorry but smoking is a big offense. Most students get put at risk of expulsion, but since this is all of yours first major offense I’ll give you a choice. Join my newly formed club, or be expelled.”
“I’ll be expelled thanks-“ “We’ll choose the club professor.” Regulus and Dorcas spoke at the same time and despite Regulus protests and his want to be expelled, Dorcas ignored him and dragged the other slytherins along with him away at McGonagalls dismissal.
“Look Reg, I don’t know why in the bloody hell you would want to be expelled but I swear i wont let it happen. It’s probably some stupid plan of yours and even if you don’t believe in yourself at times, I do so I wont let you drag yourself down because of some dumb plan.” She said this all in one breath and with the determined look she always had when she saw someone not agree with her. “Exactly mate,” Evan agreed with her “whatever this plan is, its not worth it.” Regulus only agreed so they wouldn’t argue anymore.

“Remus! What the hell?!” Peter yelled “We never even talked about it!” Sirius butted in. “What was there to talk about, I wasn’t going to let any of you throw your future away for some dumb prank!” Remus argued back. “Guys, calm down Remus is right and plus guess what I just found out!” he said this with a huge grin “Lils, Mary and Marls joined the club! The groups gonna be together!”Despite Lily and James having dated 4-6 year they were good friends and Mary and Marlene? They were like family to the Marauders! Well family that you’ve dated at some point.. James had dated Lily, Sirius had once been on and off with Mary until they both realized they were gay and Peter.. had something with Marlene all of 4th year. “With them in the club,” James continued “Nothing will go wrong!”
This was the last time James attempted to predict something.

It was late at night and despite sleeping in different dormitories they we’re together in the prefect bedroom (curtesy of Xeno friend) sleeping.
“Xeno, Xenophillius! Wake up I just had a dream!” Xenophillius woke up with a start and quickly positioned himself in a comfortable position to listen to Pandora Rosier ramble. How he would love to listen to her ramble for years and not get bored.
“It was so weirdd! I imagine all my friends from Gryffindor and Slytherin together! They all looked happy! Even though they dislike eachother.. and the weirdest part of all was that, I was in the middle of all of them singing! How weird is that Xeno? And there was a sign! For a glee club with all their names on it! Including mine! Funny thing is I cant sing!”
“Pandora do you think that maybe you need to join the glee club?” Pandora looked at him confused, according to her there wasn’t a glee club. Xenophillius then explained the newly founded club and how he knew (he overheard Professor Mcgonagall speaking of it). “ I cant sing Xeno!” Xenophillius kept trying to convince her until she agreed. He always believed her dreams and just knew that this one would be important somehow.
