Oh love

"Oh Amore, oh amore." Barty never called Evan 'Amore' infront of people, even Regulus, but now it seemed that was all he could manage to say, it was like he was a broken record, but Evan was the broken one, how could he ever recover now? How could he make anything close to a decent life for himself now? He knew this was how things were going to go his whole life but recently he'd been holding onto a little bit of false hope that maybe he had a chance at something happier, maybe he could get away before he was dammed. You'd think that deep down always knowing would soften the blow but the fact he knew that would be the case and still let himself get his hopes up hurt more than anything.
"I'm screwed aren't I?" Evan started laughing like a mad man, tears once again falling down his face. Barty seemed uneasy and Evan wondered if he could still like him with this brand of shame plastered apon his arm. Evan rocked back and forth in the little ball of emotion on the floor that he was.
Barty wanted to help but he didn't know how to comfort Evan now, he'd always told him he'd stop his parents from forcing him to take the mark but here Evan was a wreck on the bathroom floor with a symbol of his failure to protect him clearly apon his arm and Barty couldn't even comfort him, he was such a waste of time and space, how had anyone like Evan Rosier ever fallen for him? Evan deserved so much better, Evan who was biting into his lip so hard that there was blood on his teeth and was clenching his fists so hard his nails left imprints that Barty saw when took Evan's hands in his so that at least Evan knew he was trying to be useful, trying to be good, but Evan was in pain and there was nothing he could do, maybe there was something but he couldn't think of it, maybe if Evan had gotten with someone else they would've been able to think of it and he would have to deal with less pain, if only Barty hadn't been as selfish and gotten Evan to date someone who actually deserved him.
Regulus started walking again and put a hand out to Evan "We both are," Regulus smiled one of his smiles that any normal person would think is sincere but if you knew him seemed faker than anything. "you hold out for a little bit and I'll be there with you for the whole rest of it, until we can abandon it together." By the time he stopped talking Regulus' smile had turned far more real as they may be in an awful situation but at least neither of them would have to go through it alone. Evan started crying even more but grabbed Regulus's hand and whispered the words "Thank you." Just loud enough for him to hear.
That's what Evan needed, someone who could understand him and more than anything just be there with him, that's when it hit Barty, it was so obvious, what Evan needs is a death eater, what Evan has is him so the only logical solution is to combine the two.
Regulus helped Evan up off the floor and Evan did the same for Barty. "What got you so smiley?" Evan asked scared that Barty would use this as his excuse of getting away from Evan because he was only with him as a sympathetic gesture and just needed to prove Evan didn't deserve it or that he'd tell his father and get Evan turned in and his whole family but they wouldn't go down without a fight and Felix would become an orphan-
Evan's train of thought was interrupted by Barty's response. "I'm just so gald you're not going to be alone." The response was strange but oddly sweet and some of Evan's panicked thoughts were quieted when Barty took Evan into a hug and kissed his neck before burying his head into crack between Evan's neck and shoulders and muttering. "Ti amo, mia cara rosa. Ti amo così tanto." Evan didn't understand half the words Barty said but Barty was never mean in Italian.
Barty wasn't the biggest fan of sweet words "I have a reputation to keep up." He once told Evan but sometimes Evan would research some of the words Barty would say to him and they were always sweet, or maybe that's what Barty wanted him to think, in reality it was all rude or maybe sarcastic and Barty is just really desperate to get Evan to abandon Felix whether by running away or by being in Azkaban. Evan didn't know why his thoughts kept telling him Barty hated Felix, he'd never actually met him, maybe he hated him because Evan loved him so much and Barty was just really desperate to hurt him, maybe because Evan knew he was all Felix had and the idea of leaving him scared him shit less, that's why the ounce of hope of getting away was so unreasonable, even if he managed to get away Felix would be left with the responsibility and being the youngest he'd have no one to pass it onto, why should Evan have that option? Maybe if Evan was the perfect son his parents would leave Felix alone, maybe he could save Felix and his purity, he was such a sweet child after all, if anything happened to Felix Evan would go insane. So that's what he'd have to do, he'd become the perfect son.
"You guys done?" Evan didn't realise but him and Barty had been hugging in silence for minutes. "Sorry Reg." Evan quickly said removing his arms from around Barty. "I'll never apologise for showing my love for you Evyyy." Barty said in his typical dramatic manner, little did Evan realise the gravity behind that statement and just how serious Barty was being and Barty didn't realise the gravity behind the playful shove Evan gave him and how serious Evan was taking the words "get off me you stupid fag." Or how Barty's getting to his knees pretending to be offended would mirror their future if they went ahead as they each planned, no clue what the other was thinking.
