I heard a rumour .... that they are more than they seem
Summary
On the 15th of August 1977, a shockwave rippled through the world - volcanoes erupted, earthquakes shook the earth and buildings collapsed. 5 children were born from unnaturally short pregnancies. 15 more shockwaves occurred over the next two years. 84 children were born. Sir William Hargraves got 11 of them. On the 15th of August 1977, Sir William Hargreaves founded the Umbrella Academy.======================================AKA : I binge- watched Umbrella Academy , and decided to make it Harry Potter. I used a selection of Harry Potter characters as the umbrellas, which obviously included changing their backstories. Apart from that it is pretty canon compliant up until 5th year. You don't need to know umbrella academy to read this, but it could help at the start. Please no hate comments- constructive criticism is welcome. Also not to be that person, but comments and kudos mean a lot to me.I do not own Harry Potter or Umbrella academy, and pieces of both plots are borrowed (only part though).(also William Hargreaves is obviously based of Reginald Hargraves )

==FLASHBACK - 1986 ==

Sir William Hargreaves was many things - an entrepreneur, a billionaire, a wizard (though a reluctant one), and more recently, the father of 11 disruptive children. He wasn't entirely sure why children had to be quite so loud and contrary, but Grace was doing a superb job at keeping them all in line-  much better than their previous nannies could do anyway. A strict schedule was necessary for the raising of children , which was why the Hargreaves knew exactly where they were meant to be at all times.

Training took up a large portion of the children's time and this was the part of their lives that Sir Hargreaves took the most interest- every day they completed at least 5 hours of physical training , and another three of education. As it was a Friday morning, they were mastering the usage of their powers: for none of Sir William Hargreaves children were ordinary in any way, shape or form.

He watched as One (the eldest), pick up cars more than 100 times his weight, before collapsing on the ground in exhaustion.

"ONE, he called out, "Did I say you could take a break?"

One had dragged himself of the floor, "No, sir." ,and continued his training.

Two was covered in burns from where she had allowed her electricity to overpower her, but she seemed to be making progress on her control.

Three was training with Pogo and was transforming in to whatever he was asked to - a blonde woman, and elderly man , a chair.

Five was testing the limits of her powers- she did not need training per se , but it was more to see what she could do.

Seven was blinking as fast he could across the furthest amount of distance, Hargreaves noted he looked pale and ill but kept walking past him. He couldn't be used to the idea that the world would stop around him.

Eight was walking on the ceiling- Hargreaves had her practising changing the gravity of only a specific area.

Nine was being traded around all of his siblings - he was failing miserably at his use of Three's powers though, he would have to be punished.

While for the most part the training seemed to be successful, some of his children were slightly harder to train.

Walking to the house he called for Four who had just been sitting on the bed in his room. At the arrival of his father his face fell and he slowly followed the old man down the corridor. They arrived at a large dark room with a blindfold on a chair in the middle. Four sat down and tied the blindfold around his eyes.

"Four, I want you to find your sister." Hargreaves ordered.

"Which one?" Four whispered.

"Eleven."

Silence passed for a few minutes.

"She's standing in the dining room. She's holding a sign."

"What does the sign say?"

"It's a poster of us."

" Us? "

"The Umbrella Academy , Sir."

"Correct. Is anything else odd about the scene?"

"She is wearing a mission mask ,Sir."

"Correct.  Go down to the training grounds and practise your knife throwing now ,Four"

"Yes, Sir."

After he left, Hargreaves went to find Six, who was in the dining room waiting.

"Come on , Six." Hargreaves started walking , "Chop Chop. We are already behind schedule."

"Dad," He interrupted, but at the harsh look he was sent backtracked, "Sir, do I have to do this today? "

"Six, you are woefully unprepared and need to learn to get of this fear of your power. The dead are your to command, not the other way around."

They arrived at the mausoleum that lay at the edge of the manor grounds.

"In you go , Six."

"How long...?" Six hovered in the entrance.

"A few hours will do it I think." And he shoved him through the entrance and locked the door shut behind Six.

One child left. He headed to the woods where he had left Ten earlier, and found the boy crying in the clearing.

"Ten ,what is the meaning of this?"

"I don't want to do it , Dad. I can't do it." The boy shuddered a bit.

"Don't make me do this , Ten."

"Please... I can't"

"You can , Ten. " He pulled a walkie talkie out of his coat. " Send them in."

The boy sobbed.

As he walked out of the woods , William Hargreaves watched 6 fully grown men stalk towards his son with the intention to attack. He got 3 minutes out when he heard the screams. 20 minutes later , he saw Ten walk out of the woods covered in blood.

"Go clean up." Hargreaves said to the sobbing child.

As Hargreaves headed up to the manor for dinner, he was stopped by a small child in his way.

"Dad, why can't I train with the others?" Eleven asked, the only ordinary child in a family of extraordinary people.

"Because Eleven, you are completely and utterly ordinary. There is simply absolutely nothing special about you."

And with that, Sir William Hargreaves walked away, ignoring the young girl's heart which was shattering behind him.
