The boy who lived (even though he didn't want to) (hiatus)
Summary
This is the story of the boy who lived, but this one is from Yokohama, Japan, and he didn't want to live. This is the story of how plans get messed up, but the ending stays the same. This is the story of how people change and grow, and find happiness, for happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.~~I love BSD and HP so much, and Asagiri has been piling on the angst with the latest chapter (wth was 117 hahhh?!!?!?)
Note
So I’ve seen a lot about “Magic and Mystery” and I really want to read it, but I'm afraid of being inspired by it a bit to much, so I decided to not.Plus if there's one thing I know it's Harry Potter, and if there's one thing I'm currently obsessed with it's Bungou Stray Dogs. I really wanna try my own hand with this type of crossover, and well I can't wait!I hope whoever reads this enjoys it, as unfortunately when you write something it's not as fun to read it yourself, but reading things made by other people will always leave things unfulfilled, so I unfortunately won't be able to enjoy it too much..

Dazai and Chuuya, age fifteen

Third Person (Limited- Nakahara Chuuya) POV:

“Chuuya-san! Chuuya-san!” The voice of a littlun called out.

Chuuya looked over to see a girl with soft brown hair and a beanie sat on her little head run over, struggling to keep the beanie in place. She looked out of breath as she finally reached the tall (well taller than her) boy, who stood with his hands safely in his pockets and his hood covering his startling ginger hair. His brown eyes took in everything they could before the girl started talking hurriedly.

“Chuuya-san there’s someone from the mafia,” she babbled out, grabbing Chuuya’s hand as she pulled him away, “he even Has a bodyguard!”

Chuuya simply allowed her to pull him through the winding ‘streets’ of Suribachi city.

He was only eight, but was much stronger than the 4 year old girl, putting aside the obvious genetic and gender influences there were many reasons for this. It had been less than a year since he had joined the Sheep, yet they had all instantly followed him, very sheep-like.

After a small while of being pulled around by the little girl, they finally came to a stop. It was about a street away from where a boy, younger than him by a few months at most, walked, phone in hand, with a man behind him. The boy was muttering into the phone, his voice nearly silent. The little sheep girl couldn’t hear for the life of her what he was saying, but much like his strange strength, Chuuya had exceptional hearing, but even with that he could barely hear what was being said.

“-several eye witness,” The boy said, continuing his walk, “He must really have a grudge-”

Neither the little girl, Chuuya, or the boy in black had known what had happened, but suddenly the boy in black was on the ground back pressed against a wall with Chuuya standing over him.

Chuuya couldn’t help but laugh, he had expected this kid to be something special for him to so clearly be an important member of the Port Mafia, but no he really was nothing but a kid.

“Ha-ha-ha! This is rich! It’s really just a damn kid!” He said looking down degradingly as the boy in black simply stared back at him. “Is the Port Mafia really so hard up for lackey’s?”

Chuuya vaguely heard the old man from before shout something, but he really wasn’t bothered to listen to an old fool babble on and on.

“That hurt, you know? I really hate pain.” The boy said, a displeased look appearing on his stiff features.

Chuuya rolled his eyes. ‘Stupid mafia and their stupid confidence.’

“Look I’ll give you a choice, either let me kill you right now, or answer my questions and die after, the first choice will be-” Chuuya didn’t get a chance to finish as the boy interrupted him.

“Okay. Kill me now.”

“- painful…”

“Ha!” Chuuya laughed yet again, lifting his leg higher. “I expected you to run off crying, looks like you've got guts kid!”

The boy once again stared plainly at Chuuya. “You’re a kid too.”

“That’s what they all say,” Chuuya stated as his leg reached as high as it could go, “but soon enough they see…”

Chuuya brought his leg down on the boy’s wrist, breaking it, and causing a strangled gasp to escape from his lips.

“...that I’m no kid.”

The boy glared at him, his right wrist bending at an awkward angle.

“Now will you talk, or do I have to break your other wrist?” Chuuya questioned, moving his foot to sit on the boy’s undamaged wrist.

Chuuya took the boy’s silence as a yes.

“You’re investigating Arahabaki…” Chuuya seemed to trail off at the mention of the name before snapping back to himself, “right?”

“Oh? The ‘Arahabaki’ huh? You said ‘Arahabaki’?” The boy said, the mischievous glint in his eyes going unnoticed by Chuuya.

“That’s right, you know about it?”

“Nope, never heard of it.” The boy replied, an uninterested look taking over his face, if Chuuya hadn’t known better he would’ve thought the boy was picking his nails.

CRACK!

The sound of the boy's wrist breaking echoed throughout the empty streets. Chuuya’s face twitched in an unsightly manner.

BANG!

Again  the boy on the floor was kicked, this time Chuuya had kicked his head into the wall. A hiss of pain once again escaped the boy's lips.

“One more kick and your skull will break, your brain will bleed, and you’ll feel immense pain before you die, you sure you don’t want to answer?” Chuuya asked, taking just one step back.

The boy looked up, letting an expression of pain fall on his face. “If I…tell you, will you let me go?”

Chuuya stayed silent, not moving to kick the boy's face again. The small little smirk again went unnoticed by him.

“You’re..too short,” The boy let out, “you should drink more milk!”

This time Chuuya whipped his hands out of his pockets and grabbed the boy by his collar.

“I didn’t ask about that!” Chuuya screamed, lifting the boy higher and higher. “You bastard! I’m only eight, I’m still growing damnit!” (I forgot they weren’t 15 here 💀)

“He-he! I’ll cast a curse on you then, I’m only seven, but I’ll grow way taller than you, and after you turn fifteen you’ll barely grow!” The boy let out excitedly.

Chuuya kicked him again, unconsciously making it lighter than the first two times. “Shut up!”

Again the boy laughed, “Although thanks to all this I know who you are now, Nakahara Chuuya, ability: Gravity manipulation, the reason a little gang of kids are so feared nowadays, The King of the Sheep!”

“I’m the King of nothing.” Chuuya said, glaring at the boy who was now standing up.

“Hmm, sure.” The boy said, cracking his wrists back into place, or at least as far as he could.

Chuuya winced.

“You seem to know a lot about the sheep, thinking about joining?” Chuuya asked.

“Of course not, they invited me a while back, I said no of course.”

Chuuya scoffed. “Good, because if we were in the same group I would’ve-”

“Don’t be ridiculous I would’ve ki-”

“Don’t interrupt me when I’m ta-”

“Why not? Your just yapping like a do-”

“I’m gonna kill you!”

“As if you could!”

Chuuya again glared at the boy. “Whatever, not like you’re worth much, it won’t be hard to kill you. Might as well send those Mafia asses your head back as a gift.”

Click!

Chuuya stopped his kick in the air as dozens of men carrying guns appeared from the broken down houses.

“Stand down or we’ll shoot!”

Chuuya smirked, once again letting his kick fly free as he kicked the boy's head for a third time in less than an hour.

“Fire!” The old man from before shouted.

Cracking his neck, as he once again took his hands out from the safety of his pockets, Chuuya simply stared at the old man as a barrage of bullets came his way.

The mafia lackeys and the old man stared in bewilderment as the bullets they had fired stopped after touching Chuuyas outstretched palm.

“Threaten me however you want,” he said as he turned the bullets around in mid air, “guns don’t work on me anyway.”

Chuuya jumped up from his spot on the ground and kicked the bullets straight into the heads of the mafia members. The old man stared at him as his companions fell down.

“This brings me back, I too once blindly trusted my power would crush everything in my way. Guns don’t work on you hmm? Well that’s not too uncommon with ability users is it? Time for you to regret your overconfidence.” The man said, walking down the steps of one of the old houses.

“You’re an ability user too? Good.” Chuyya said, getting his kick ready. “You ought to put up a better fight than those guys just now, come on then!”

The boy, having recovered from his three kicks yelled out, “Hirotsu-san don’t! His ability is gravity manipulation, it doesn’t match well with yours!”

“Gravity eh? Well to keep things fair I’ll tell you my ability too,” the man- Hirotsu- said, “I can apply extreme repulsive force to whatever my palm touches.”

“The mafia sure believes in fair play doesn’t it? Ha! Just don’t expect me to respect my elders!” Chuuya said as he jumped forward. (The blasphemy! Are you sure your Asian Chuuya??)

The two met instantaneously as they propelled towards each other. Using his momentum, Chuuya grabbed Hirotsu’s arm to flip himself over, turning around once more to kick Hirotsu’s palm as the man stuck it out. A strong force ripped through the air and the leftovers of the old houses, destroying them and making the air hard to breathe.

Chuuya jumped away.

“Not bad. He was right though, your ability is poorly matched against mine.” Chuuya muttered, allowing himself to take a breath.

“I pity you, I learned a lesson you have yet too, a long time ago, without having to give my life as the fee, which unfortunately for you won’t be the case.” Hirotsu said, cracking his wrists.

Chuuya scowled, once again jumping forward. “Bring it on!” He yelled.

Chuuya kicked towards Hirotsu’s head, only to be blocked by the man’s hand. Letting out a groan of annoyance, Chuuya quickly spun around and kicked the man’s head from the other side, which was once again blocked, this time by Hirotsu’s arm.

“Your arm’s mine old man!” Chuuya yelled, once again going in to kick, this time aiming for Hirotsu’s shoulder.

Again, you wouldn’t even have to have blinked to miss it but Chuuya’s shoulder was held by Hirotsu’s hand, his feet in the ground, nowhere near kicking the man’s arm off.

“Huh? Your ability doesn’t work on me.” Chuuya said, furrowing his brows.

“Are you sure about that?” A perfectly calm voice asked beside Chuuya’s right ear.

A strange feeling shot up Chuuya’s spine, his eyes widened, he gulped.

“You…huh?”

Chuuya couldn’t move. He was stuck in place, his ability wasn’t working.

“Too bad gravity isn’t in your hands anymore.”

Chuuya swivelled his head to look at the boy. But he didn’t find him, instead he saw an emotionless monster. Monster used in lack of better words to describe it. His eyes were hollow and without emotion, a sadistic smile lay on his otherwise innocent features.

“My ability cancels out other abilities, it’s called- No Longer Human.”

No longer human indeed, the boy looked downright terrifying for a seven year old. But the three simple words, meaning completely different things when separate, struck a little close to home for Chuuya. He didn’t know why, but the words rang faint bells in his mind, a far away voice, unrecognisable, but familiar all the same seemed to call out those words.

“-the price.”

Unknowingly, Chuuya had let himself drift away in the midst of Hirotsu’s talking.

As Hirotsu’s ability activated, Chuuya, for the first time in a long time, was able to see the kanji that appeared as an ability worked. He usually had the user unconscious before they could activate it fully.

‘Falling Camellia’ it read.

“Dazai-san!?” Hirotsu yelled.

For instead of just Chuuya being flung back as he had intended, the boy- Dazai- was also flung back.

“Heh…he got…me…” Dazai muttered weakly from his spot against the broken wall of the house he had landed on. “He spun his lower body to kick me, it flung me away and he used his ability to leap back.”

Dazai turned his head to look at the crater Chuuya had created, and watched as Chuuya came out.

“Ha-ha-ha! That’s right! Now let’s get this started!” Chuuya said, boosting himself off from the wall.

Dazai, who had in the time it took Chuuya to get his kick off powerful enough, walked towards Hirotsu, widened his eyes.

They would not be able to escape this one…

BAM!

A black explosion took place in the centre of Suribachi city, not far from where they were standing, and blasted them quite a good metres away.

‘Damnit!’ Chuuya thought.
