Summary
Harry, Ron, and Hermione return for their seventh year at Hogwarts following Harry's defeat of Voldemort. McGonagall decides to make Harry a prefect for his final year to show him the appreciation Dumbledore never did. Harry discovers that seventh year prefects are given private rooms but they have to share a common area with one other prefect. Harry struggles with conflicted feelings when he discovers he is sharing rooms with the Slytherin prefect, Draco Malfoy. Ever since the final battle when Draco betrayed Voldemort and his father to help the Order, Harry's feelings towards Draco have been complicated.When Draco returns for his final year at Hogwarts, the last thing he expects is to be rooming with the only boy he has ever loved. Draco risked everything to help Harry defeat Voldemort in the final battle but he is terrified that Harry and his friends' feelings about him will never change. The only thing he cares about anymore is getting close to Harry, but his own self loathing tells him Harry deserves anyone but him. Until someone else shows interest in Harry.
