Chapter 21

"They are going to kill us!", Sirius broke their kiss and sounded breathless than ever.
He was smiling so wide that Remus thought he might burst into tears.
"Then, let them kill us. But, no you're right. It isn't very decent to the girls.", Remus laughed, still with Sirius in his hands.
"Let's get out of here. We can continue this,", he pointed between them. "later."
"You're right. We're got all the time in the world.", Remus gave him a quick kiss.
They arrived at the girls' place after a while.
"WHERE HAVE YOU TWO BEEN?", Marlene got up and went towards them, as she screamed.
She was the most beautiful girl he had seen. Marriage looked good on her.
"Sorry, Marls. Traffic.", Sirius chuckled and looked at his boyfriend - or fiance.
"Yeah, I bet. I'm so glad you got back together, but I want to have my wedding with my girl you know.", Marlene smiled and went back to Dorcas to kiss her.
" So, you two are together, now?", Mary asked curiously and every single person in the room was staring at them.
" Yes! But let's save it for tomorrow. This isn't our day and we're sorry we weren't here earlier." Remus felt a little bad for it, but didn't regret their previous activity. Not for a second.
The wedding started right away and both Marlene and Dorcas were sobbing from their happiness.
They were adorable and very shy to kiss in front of everyone, but did it anyway.
"MY GIRL'S OFFICIALLY MARRIED.", Mary screamed the words and went to hug Marlene, while Cassandra had Dorcas in her arms.
Cassandra had become literally besties with Dorcas and both of them were crying, as they were hugging.
"I'm so happy for you!"
"Thank you, Cass!"
Peter was next in the line and seemed thrilled at the sight.
The girls had made it.
And everybody had, even Peter who had a secret, mystery girlfriend.
Lily was sobbing, too when she went to them. James was laughing at her, not admitting his owns tears.
" I can't believe you are the first who got married! I always thought it would be Remus and Sirius.", Lily hugged her friends.
"Ah... No - We're not getting married, no.", Sirius sounded awkward as hell and tried to hide his enthusiasm.
Everybody stopped, as they realized what he'd said.
"Sirius... What did you day?", Lily was the first to ask, because she knew she was the one who'd make him break.
"I didn't say anything!", he whined to her, but all of them smiled and aid no attention to his words.
"YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED, TOO!", Cassandra yelled, as they were her favorite couple in the group.
"We didn't want to tell you, because today's not about us and we've already acted like dicks, but yes... We are!", Remus explained and James, practically run to hug him.
"My boy is getting married!"
"I thought I was your boy, too.", Sirius complained.
"Oh, shut up you dork."
Everybody congratulated them like they were the ones who got married today.
Remus insisted that that day was about the girls and there was no reason to talk about him and Sirius, so they decided to start the party, instead, since the ceremony was done.
They danced with each other carelessly and drank their asses off, until they were unable to talk.
And they laughed, like really hard.
They were young and happy and healthy.
They didn't have much in common, basically nothing, but those people learned to respect and love each other endlessly, like a real family.
And that was what Remus wanted from the beginning.
To have a family and a husband by his side.
And, thank Merlin, he had found both.
He was about to start a new chapter in his life, because that wasn't the end.
That was the beginning of an era.
