Chapter 4
A red light from Stupefy suddenly hit Severus, knocking him to the ground. Before he could recover, he was hit by another Expelliarmus that sent the wand in his hand flying several meters. When he could react, he found himself sprawled on the ground, tied up by a thick rope created by Incarcerous.
This was a perfect series of attacks, both creating an advantage of surprise and making the opponent unable to react. If this were an exercise in Defense Against the Dark Arts, there was no doubt that it would receive an O.
Severus didn't expect that he would have the mind to think about these trivial things, instead of trying to find his wand that had been knocked far away and cursing the damn Potter who had attacked him.
Obviously James definitely wouldn't give him a chance to escape, he pointed his wand straight at his face, his arrogant gaze from above made Severus uncomfortable.
“Let me go, you bastard.” Severus growled, feeling uncomfortable with the rough rope tightening around him.
“Watch your mouth, Snivellus,” James hissed, his eyes darkening over his gold-rimmed glasses, “see who's in charge here.”
Severus hated to admit how right James was, he was tied up, wandless, lying on the floor helpless. Now even if he screamed until his throat was hoarse, no one would come to help, because he was isolated from the outside world by the Room of Requirement. This was truly Potter's masterstroke, every move was carefully calculated, even if he died here today, Potter would not be suspected.
Pursing his lips in resignation, Severus asked cautiously, "What do you want from me?"
At first, Severus simply thought that James was going to torture him for daring to touch his beautiful and precious Lily. but that wasn't true, the red-haired girl had fallen into the trap that James had set and became his girlfriend, completely cutting off all contact with Severus since then, therefore, James had no reason to question him about Lily anymore.
Severus's obedient attitude seemed to soften the ferocity flickering in James' eyes a little, he lowered his wand, squatted down to Severus' level, and questioned, "What did you do to Sirius?"
The mention of Sirius' name made Severus startled, ever since that fateful day, whenever he saw that madman lurking around, Severus would run away as fast as he could. Severus could hardly deny that that kiss had a stronger effect than any prank the Marauders had ever played on him. It took him a long time to accept the fact that his sworn enemy had pinned him against the wall and devoured his lips, while he could only helplessly suppress his fear and accept being kissed madly. He wiped his lips until they bled and even cried out of humiliation from the whole farce Sirius pulled.
Seeing that Severus was distracted, James gritted his teeth in displeasure, pulling Severus back to reality.
"Don't even think about fooling me, be honest and tell me what you did to Sirius."
"Excuse me, what did I do to your little puppy?"
James paused for a moment, before tremblingly saying, "About the kiss...", the horrifying memories of Sirius pressing his lips against Snivellus's made James shiver, and at the same time made him feel inexplicably uncomfortable, "What did you do to make Sirius kiss a greasy bat like you?"
Anger flared up in Severus's heart, he glared at James fiercely, cursing the Gryffindor's stupidity and recklessness in his heart. This idiot was really blaming him completely for the kiss, while he was the one who was harmed when he was pinned against the wall and forcibly kissed.
"I did nothing, you prick," Severus scolded loudly, "that's a question you should ask your lunatic friend!"
"Don't lie!" James shouted back at Severus, "I know you cursed my friend, Sirius would never be so insane as to kiss a slimy roach like you!"
James's baseless accusation completely ignited the anger that was contained in Severus' heart. He glared at the stupid male lion opposite him, gritting his teeth and cursing, "Maybe he just went crazy because he was in contact with you for too long. Your stupidity was the truly cause of the infection that turned the mad dog from frantic to crackbrained."
After Severus finished speaking, he felt a silence envelop the two of them. He raised his head and saw James's face twisted in anger, the Gryffindor golden boy's eyes that were always filled with light flashed with a dark cruelty that he had never seen in any Slytherin. His wand raised, pointing it at Severus, he closed his eyes, preparing for a painful curse.
"Crucio."
Severus felt his screams seem to pierce the ceiling, hit the walls and echoed back as if wanting to tear his eardrums. The pain permeated every nerve of his, making him squirm uncomfortably on the ground, wanting to struggle to escape the pain but was tied up tightly by the rope, the person hit by the Crucio and unable to move was even more tortured. The smell of blood in his mouth rushed straight to his nose, he didn't know if he had bitten his lip or tongue in the pain.
By the time the pain subsided, Severus's mind was hazy and he seemed about to pass out, but he could see out of the corner of his eye, James was smirking at him and looking at him with amusement.
But what awaited him was not any mockery or curses as expected, James just stood there looking at him, bewildered and silent.
James had never seen his enemy like this before. Snape had always been a nasty, arrogant and hateful person. He was a difficult opponent in every encounter, who would laugh, mock and respond to any action of James with his own vicious curses.
However, now Snape could only lie weakly on the ground, panting and crying silently. James thought he would say something to insult Snape's weakness, but instead he felt a sense of pity rising in his heart. Snape's crying was not as ugly as he thought, but instead created a feeling of fascination. His big, round, black eyes were filled with tears, his long, wet eyelashes blinked to dispel the feeling of bitterness. His lips were not as pale as before, but were stained with a seductive, rosy blood color.
"The heroic and brave Gryffindor saint Potter has fallen to the point of torturing others with the unforgivable curse?" Severus couldn't help but mock, but the sarcastic effect was not as expected. Because he had just finished crying, his voice was a little shaky, his wet eyes looked straight at the other person, making his insults a little sexy.
This would have been an alluring scene, if not for Severus' harsh words.
So James bent down and shut that annoying mouth.
