The Grass is Always Greener
Summary
He should have been intimate with his girlfriend in a sweet dream of love, not with his rival. He would kiss her plump lips that smelled of strawberries, not those pale, rough lips. He would run his hands through her gorgeous, flowing blonde hair, not that disgusting, greasy black hair. He would moan her name when they both reached orgasm, not the name he hated so much. The person he loved is Marlene McKinnon, not Severus Snape.
Note
Note a bit, although this story has the tag infidelity, there will be no adultery happening here, the story here is more like ideological adultery.Because I don't really like the idea of cheating, I'll keep the details of the affair as minimal as possible, there's no way Sev becomes a side chick here, or if he hooks up with Sirius or James, they would have to at least end the relationship with their girlfriends.

Chapter 2

"Sirius?"

"Hey, Sirius!"

"SIRIUS!"

The shrill call of his girlfriend startled Sirius, he quickly shook off the chaotic thoughts in his head, giving an apologetic smile towards the angry blonde girl.

"Yes, love."

Marlene rolled her eyes, sighed in frustration, turned her back to her boyfriend, crossed her arms, and muttered softly, "You've been acting strange lately. You don't love me anymore, do you?"

His girlfriend's accusation made Sirius a little startled. It was true that his behavior had been strange lately, such as being absent-minded, keeping silent during their conversations, or refusing invitations to go out with his girlfriend, but of course it wasn't because he didn't love her anymore. He would definitely never give up on this beautiful, hot, and sweet blonde girl.

With a mischievous smile, he turned her chin towards him, before she could say anything, he quickly placed a kiss on her plump red lips. The two quickly plunged into a deep, passionate kiss, making both of them almost moan because the kiss was so sudden.

The hand that was on her cheek moved to run through her golden hair, only to realize belatedly that it wasn't the greasy black hair he had expected. He opened his eyes wide, trying to ignore his thoughts as he indulged in their kiss. His tongue slid through her teeth easily without any struggle, leaving him feeling a little disappointed. Her pale hand gently cradled his head, instead of frantically pulling at his hair. And the kiss, it tasted like honey melting in their mouths, instead of the rusty taste of blood.

No, it was not like that, it should be different.

Sirius pulled away from Marlene's lips in shock, images of a brutal kiss and desire filling his mind. Merlin, he groaned, he might never be able to kiss again if he kept thinking about the kiss with the bat every time he kissed his girlfriend.

But Marlene didn't notice the strange expression on her boyfriend's face, she blushed and giggled, "Sirius, maybe your terrible kissing skills will shatter other girls' illusions of an experienced bad boy."

Sirius regained his usual composure, he raised his eyebrows, sneered, "Really? And yet my terrible kissing skills made you go limp."

The pink color on the girl's cheeks gradually turned into a deep red that could be seen with the naked eye. She shyly hit her boyfriend on the shoulder, "Shameless."

"Only for you." Sirius kissed his girlfriend again, but this time on the cheek.

Suddenly, the girl looked at him eagerly, as if she had just remembered something.

"That's right, Sirius, do you want to come home with me this Christmas?"

"Going home with you?"

"Yes," The girl nodded, her cheeks turning pink once more, "My parents have heard a lot about you, they seem to like you very much, and on top of that... urged me to bring you home to meet my family, and I think this will be a good opportunity for you guys to get to know each other."

Hearing her words, his mind immediately filled with some far-fetched thoughts. If her parents liked him, perhaps they would easily get married, live together, and have lovely children together. A son and a daughter didn't sound so bad. The son would be like him, with the sleek black hair and stormy grey eyes typical of the Black family, and fond of sports. The daughter would be like his wife, a stubborn, headstrong child, and good at potions, her black eyes often narrowed maliciously and often spewing sarcasm-

Wait, this didn't seem very Marlene-like-

Sirius immediately jumped off the grass where they were sitting before his girlfriend's surprised eyes, his face paled, he stammered in panic, "I- I just remembered I have something to do, see you later."

"But Sirius, what about the invitation-"

But Sirius ran away before Marlene could finish her sentence. He ran quickly down the hallway, even bumping into some students, seemingly trying to run away from something intimidating.

He rushed back to his dorm room, panting as he opened the door. He saw his friends sitting there, Remus seemed to be doing his Transfiguration homework, Peter was munching on a chocolate frog with a comic book in his hand, and James was just there staring at him.

"Padfoot? I thought you were on a date?" Remus turned his attention from his textbook to his roommate, frowning slightly when he caught sight of Sirius's pale face.

"Really? I think he looks like he was just chased by a three-headed dog." Peter commented, mouth full of chocolate.

Sirius ruffled his messy hair from running too fast, he avoided the curious eyes of the other Marauders, making a makeshift excuse, "I'm not feeling well."

“Are you sure you’re okay, buddy?” Remus asked worriedly, frowning deeper as he saw his usually energetic friend fidgeting nervously, shifting his weight from foot to foot.

"I just need a little rest."

The others in the room didn't believe this ridiculous excuse at all, but seeing Sirius's troubled expression, they decided not to say anything more and focus back on their work.

Only James was still staring at him with a complicated gaze and didn't say a word from beginning to end, which was quite strange because James would usually become noisy when he was around his best friend. But Sirius was so confused with his thoughts that he didn't notice this abnormality, also completely failed to see the clenched teeth and anger in his friend's eyes.

Sirius flopped down on the bed, feeling a little more relaxed as he buried himself in the softness of the sheets. But the chaotic thoughts still wouldn't leave his head.

He should have hit that slimy snake, not kissed him.

He should have broken the curse, not made it worse.

He shouldn't have met Slytherin at that moment.

And now, he found himself trapped in a maze with no way out named Severus Snape.

What about that filthy Death Eater, Sirius couldn't help but wonder. Maybe he was hiding in a corner somewhere practicing dark magic, eager to find more curses to cast on Black, making him sink deeper into despair.

But Sirius no longer felt the urge to torment or torture Snivellus as intensely for daring to cast a curse on him as he did before.

He just wanted to put his lips on those luscious lips again.
