“Aren’t these woods lovely, Phillipe?” Monty asks, worried. “I just wish I knew where they were.”
Monty gets shocked by a sudden surge of lightning in an odd shape, followed by a heavy snow storm.
“Oh? Is it snowing? In spring?” Monty questions to himself.
He’s shocked by the sudden sound of a howl. He is so shocked that he falls off Philippe, knocking down the music box with him.
“Philippe, go. Hurry.” He shouts.
He retreats backwards, trying to get away from the wolves. “Please, leave.” He pleads.
Monty turns and runs the other direction as fast as he can. “Stop!” He shouts as he runs as if the wolves understand him.
Phillipe trots on a stick, drawing the attention of the wolves. Monty gets up and runs, trusting Phillipe to be smart enough to follow.
Of course he is.
They run as fast as they can, stumbling upon a massive castle.
Monty stands in awe as he looks up at the gorgeous castle. “Oh wow, Philippe. It’s stunning. We should see if there is someone inside that can help us.”
He walks to the marble stairs to the entrance of the castle, when he spots a horse stable that holds food.
“Philippe, there is food here.” Monty says with joy.
Phillipe runs up to the stable and starts to nourish himself with the food that is offered as Monty continues up the grand stairs.
Monty looks up to the door, it’s grand and beautiful with small details all over.
Monty bangs his hand on the door three times. The loud sound echoes on the other side of the door throughout the castle.
Monty waits for someone to answer when the door opens.
“Oh hello,” Monty says as he walks in. He’s shocked to not find anyone on the other side of the door.
“Hello? Is anyone here?” Monty asks. His voice echoes throughout the mostly empty castle.
He can hear quiet chatter behind him. He turns around finding no one there except a clock and candelabra.
A small crackle drags his attention to a warm fire. He walks over with his hands in front of him, ready to warm up.
“Oh that’s lovely.” He walks further into the castle, trying to find someone who lives there.
“Hello?” He says walking into a bigger room.
He spots a large table with food set up like it is ready for someone to eat. Monty’s mouth waters as soon as he spots it. He walks up and takes a seat at the head of the table, hoping he’s allowed to eat it.
It’s a roast meal. Potatoes, chicken, carrots, broccoli and bread.
He digs in and starts to eat. The meal is hot, so he hopes it was made for him. As he eats, he thinks that it is one of the best meals he’s ever eaten. He puts his knife and fork down when he’s finished.
The small tea cup slides closer to him. It's filled with piping hot tea. Monty is shocked at the fact that it is moving.
“Mum said I wasn’t supposed to move, cause it might scare you. Sorry.” The cup speaks a young voice, shocking Monty.
“It’s alright.” Monty smiles and then gets up and bolts from the table to the front door.
“Thank you for your hospitality, I will be leaving now.” Monty bows to the owner of the castle, then turns to open the heavy door to leave meeting the cold air. He runs down the stairs collecting Phillippe.
“Come on, Phillippe. Let's go.” Monty says in a rush, mounting himself on his horse.
They begin to head out, when Monty spots a rose bush. “Wait, Phillippe. Stop. James wants a rose.”
Monty leans over to take a rose off the tree. He grabs the stem and accidentally cuts his hand. He changes the way he holds the rose to take it. He finally gets the rose in his possession when a loud growl startles him. He looks up coming into contact with a large beast.
