Hermione was thoroughly soaked by the time Draco had picked her up outside of Pret, the nearest coffee shop to her and Ginny’s apartment which had become a favourite very quickly. Her all-time favourite however was an independent coffee shop just outside the Scientology Building. She was there every day at eight o’clock in the morning and they always had her iced caramel latte waiting fresh. A grey car rolled up at the curb, a sporty looking one. A fancy looking one. She backed up, struggling to make out the person sitting in the car through the blacked-out windows – until it rolled down.
“Granger. Get in the car, you’re soaking.”
Hermione suddenly felt foolish she didn’t know it was Draco’s but honestly, she didn’t know he was driving that about. She climbed in the car, trying not to splash excess water all over him.
“Sorry, I didn’t know what you drove.”
“I never told you. I let Theo do most of it.”
They pulled up in the parking garage of his building and soon enough she was in the warmth. “It’s not exactly a summer day of April is it?” Hermione shrugged off her jacket, hanging it on the radiator.
“Not quite.” Draco walked down the corridor, opening a door and re-emerging with a t-shirt and shorts. “Here. You’ll be freezing all day with those on.”
Hermione raised her eyebrows. “Who says I’m staying here all day?”
Granger
Draco: can’t believe you’re publicly slagging scream
Hermione: In case you’re not aware… its not Halloween.
Draco: It’s April xx
Draco: are you aware it doesn’t take place at Halloween?
Hermione: No way.
Draco: i’m serious. Google it.
Hermione: My whole life has been a lie. Thank you for ruining it
Draco: hahaha. you love me.
Hermione: Not enough time spent together for that yet.
Draco: let’s change that
Hermione: Goodnight Malfoy x
Draco: night granger. sleep well x
