Chapter 2

Hermione and Ginny arrived at Theo’s apartment, following Theo’s instructions. He lived in the building facing the south of the campus, an old building with a turret roof that Hermione had always admired. If she had the funds, she too would live there.

Before she had even found out she was into Cambridge, she had been looking at student accommodation. It was so expensive, more expensive than she had imagined. Hermione was raised by her two hard working parents, dentists who had their own practice and had worked day and night for years to have their dream. With help from them, she could have, but they had done so much already. So, Hermione and Ginny decided to move into a flat in London, close enough for her to walk to classes every day. It was cosy, comfortable and had a considerable amount of room for the both of them.

She chapped three times, adjusting her binders and laptops in her arm. It was going dead from the weight. She wasn’t aware of how much help Theo needed so she brought everything. Everything.

The door swung open, revealing a tall blonde wearing baggy grey joggers and an oversized white tee. Not Theo. She thought she might have seen this man around, but couldn’t be sure. “Theo’s saviour I take it?”

“She is, I came for the wine,” Ginny said, walking right by the man and into the apartment. Hermione followed quickly, realising she hadn’t moved or said anything.

“Theo?” Hermione called into the apartment. It was that big she swore it echoed.

For an old building, the inside apartments were very modern. Everything was just huge. The kitchen had an island with a breakfast bar, a dining table in the corner and an open plan living room. It was cosy still, complete with a bay window and a reading corner. Hermione’s dream.

“Granger! You made it!” Theo came running from down the hall where she imagined the bedrooms were. He pulled her into a hug and kissed her quickly on the cheek. “Have you both ate dinner? Me and Draco were just about to order some pasta from down the way.”

Hermione shook her head. “We haven’t. We had plans for pizza and pasta actually.”

“Perfect! Draco can you order?” Theo asked.

The blonde God sat in one of the armchairs and saluted, pulling out his phone.

“Let’s do this. One essay coming up.”
