A Plan

Mori could almost gasp in joy right now. Did Dazai-kun really just call him papa? Eek! That's the first time he's not being called an idiot or Rintarou! The latter can mean big ethics or companion, which are accurate, but Dazai-kun says he means it as in eldest son. Because Mori's, quote on quote, 'as delusion as parents are with their eldest son'. Mean, but also, not true! After all, he's getting Dazai-kun to safety, isn't he? So he wasn't delusional to want Dazai-kun to have a good childhood! And now? He can finally have it. Dazai-kun won't thank him for it, but Mori doesn't need thanks. Dazai-kun hasn't been told that he'll be living away from Mori, yet. Dazai-kun is a sensitive child, and he needs Mori to tell him how to act. It's like a willing puppet. Dazai-kun wants his actions controlled. So that he doesn't mess up. So that he'll have an alibi if he does mess up.

The doctor smiles warmly at Dazai, a hint of paternal affection in his smile, contrary to the almost confused expression of Dumbledore and the small glint of fear in the eyes of Minerva. After all, the sight of a small boy with eyes so empty and body so bruised and battered would strike terror and concern into the hearts of any normal person. However, Dumbledore quickly recovers his bearings. He can find out what's wrong once they're at Hogwarts.

The Headmaster paces over to Dazai, stretching out a hand while having a polite smile on his face, his usual one that he uses to greet truly exceptional students. An important looking person like Dumbledore who practically reeks of wisdom and confidence in his abilities fascinates most children Dazai's age, if not intimidate. "Why hello, you must be Dazai Osamu? We have heard great things about you. I am Albus Dumbledore, it's a pleasure to be having you at Hogwarts." The man says, his eyes glinting in wisdom and curiosity as they scan the boy sitting in front of him, who has not even got up to greet him. So this is the rumoured prodigy, innit? The one who the ministry says, not in public ofcourse, might be even better at magic than the Boy Who Lived?

However, Dazai simply stares at the man's outstretched palm, before silently glancing at Mori. The doctor quickly walks over to the other two with an apologetic chuckle, although there's a flash of annoyance as he looks at Dumbledore's one-sided attempt at a handshake. "I'm so sorry, Osamu isn't really too ecstatic about physical touch, and also..." An almost dangerous glint appears in the doctor's eyes. "It isn't quite decided that Osamu will be attending Hogwarts, is it?" How dare this old hag have the audacity to try to admit Dazai-kun as soon as he lays his eyes upon him? Who in the world does he think he is? The nerve! I need to, at the very least, make sure Dazai-kun's needs will be met wherever he goes. If he ends up hating me for sending him away. . . I simply won't be able to bear it. I need Dazai-kun to see me as someone who he can look up to. Someone who'll protect him. Someone who'll never put him in proper harm. Dazai-kun needs someone who he can talk to about how he feels. And Mori will be that person.

Dumbledore has a confused expression for a moment, before he quickly covers it up while clearing his throat. The tension in the room could be cut with a knife. Why in the bloody hell are the two hosts looking at him this way for merely wanting a handshake? A cultural gap, perhaps? "Ofcourse, I apologise. But..." he looks down at Dazai, glancing at Mori. "Why exactly should he not?" There's never been a muggle-born that wasn't absolutely ecstatic about learning magic in a long time, far less a child. Even parents, although worried for their child, seem happy to find an explanation to the weird things that surround them ever since the child is born.

"Well, first things first," Mori takes a seat, gesturing for Dumbledore to sit as well. To Dumbledore's surprise, the cushioned chair the child rests upon is the most comfortable in the room, and is the furthest from the door while being the closest to the inside of the house. Dazai has a view of the entire room from where he's sitting, and seems to be the most crucial person here. Despite this, he sits there with his palms on his lap and a blank expression that's almost eery. "It will be safe for him, I hope?"

This brings a sense of relief to Dumbledore. So it was just normal concern. Why was he so worried, he wonders? There's just something about Yokohoma and specifically this house that tells that no word is said without purpose... "Yes, ofcourse, Hogwarts is a wonderful place to-" The famed wizard start, before being interrupted by Mori. "That's good. But I also assume that's by the other students' standards. Osamu requires special care, you see. He values his privacy greatly, so he will require a room to himself, which Hogwarts might not have, if it's like any other boarding school. Also, Osamu has a very specific-" Mori shuts up after a kick from Dazai from underneath the table. Dazai makes a shy expression as he speaks in a timid voice. Ah, how Mori wishes Dazai-kun was actually like this. Actually like any other child.

"Will...Will it be fun?" Dazai mumbles out eventually. Ofcourse, he couldn't actually care less. But most children would. And by most children, he means Elise would have, since that's the only example he knows. The only example he remembers. The only example he wants to remember. Dumbledore smiles warmly. "The schedule might become stressful," Mori's ears immediately perk up. "but, if you put in the effort to get along with your peers and keep up with your work, I don't see why it wouldn't be."

Mori frowns, his eyebrows furrowing. "It won't be too difficult, will it? I don't doubt Osamu's abilities at all, but I don't want him to be stressed out. He's been homeschooled his whole life, you see. But education-wise, he is better than anyone his ag-" He is cut off with yet another kick from under the table. This time, however, he's also graced with a subtle look that only Mori would recognise.

A subtle look saying he's planning something.
