Idiots get stitches
We followed Hagrid and Draco to the hospital wing, the excitement of the incident still buzzing in the air. Draco's bravado had always landed him in trouble, but this was a new level. We walked in a tight group, keeping our voices low to avoid attracting attention.
Madam Pomfrey quickly ushered Draco into a bed and began tending to his injuries. Pansy, Mattheo and I stood at the foot of the bed, watching anxiously. Draco was pale and trembling, but as Madam Pomfrey worked, he started to calm down.
"You idiot!" I shouted, hitting Draco over the head.
"Ow!" he yelled.
"I warned you," I said, glaring at him.
Draco glared back. "Shut it, Milly. It wasn't my fault that stupid beast attacked me."
Madam Pomfrey spun around, her eyes wide with shock. "Pandora Snape! There will be no hitting in my hospital wing. Fault or not, physical violence is not acceptable!" Madam Pomfrey scolded.
Pansy hovered nearby, wringing her hands. "Maybe you should take it easy, Draco. You need to rest."
Draco huffed. "I don't need rest. What I need is for that oaf to be fired."
Madam Pomfrey returned with a tray of potions and instructed Draco to drink them. He reluctantly drank them complaining about the taste and texture, but didn't seem to get drowsy.
"You're lucky, Mr. Malfoy. Hippogriff wounds can be nasty, but you'll be fine with some rest and these potions," she said sternly.
Draco tried to muster a smirk. "Thanks, Madam Pomfrey. Father will hear about this."
Hagrid stood awkwardly in the corner, wringing his hands. "Sorry about that, Draco. Buckbeak meant no harm, but ye need to respect magical creatures."
Draco sneered. "Save it, Hagrid. You'll be gone soon enough."
"It's alright, Hagrid. Draco will be fine," I said, rolling my eyes. "Some people just never learn."
Hagrid nodded and left the room, looking relieved.
As soon as he was gone, I smacked Draco on the arm. "You're an idiot, you know that?"
Draco glared at me. "Watch it, Milly. You have no idea what you're talking about."
"Miss Snape!" Madam Pomfrey shouted.
"Sorry, Madam Pomfrey," I shouted back.
Madam Pomfrey sighed. "Just a few minutes," and left us alone.
"Maybe you should take it easy, Draco. You need to rest." Pansy said.
Draco huffed. "I don't need rest. What I need is for that oaf to be fired."
Mattheo, always the troublemaker, took out a small pouch. "Anyone want some Chocolate Frogs?" he whispered, though I knew he had more than just candy in that pouch.
"What did you put in those?" I questioned
"What makes you think I put anything in them" he said leaning closer to me with a smirk
I rolled my eyes. "Put that away before you get us all in trouble, idiot."
"Relax, Milly. Have a Frog," he grinned, popping one into his mouth and handing one to Draco. "For the pain, he whispered."
I knew it." you never changed, do you?" I asked.
"Why would I?" he said, smirking.
We sat there in silence for a while. Draco stayed awake, glaring at the ceiling. Pansy looked worried, but Mattheo and I exchanged a knowing glance. Draco would bounce back from this; he always did.
"You should all go back to your dormitories. He needs rest; he'll be fine by supper, so no need to worry." Madam Pomfrey instructed, giving me a stern look. "And no more hitting!"
"Come on, we should go," I said, standing up. "He'll be fine. Not like we need to babysit him."
Pansy nodded reluctantly, and Mattheo pocketed the rest of his Chocolate Frogs-or whatever else he had in there. We slipped out of the hospital wing and made our way back to the Slytherin common room. The corridors were dimly lit, and our footsteps echoed softly against the stone floors.
Back in the common room, We found a quiet corner and sank into the plush armchairs.
"That was quite a show today," Mattheo said, stretching out his legs.
"No kidding," I replied. "your cousin is a total idiot"
Pansy sighed. "how could the school let Hagrid have a lesson like that? Endangering the students like that."
"you're right. I'll send an owl to Uncle Lucius personally." Pandora said laying her head in Mattheo's lap.
"uhh, I think it'll be time for supper soon," Crabbe said.
"Thank you, Crabbe," I said, patting his head. "You're such a good dog."
he nodded his head excitedly. "Yes, Milly," he said.
"don't call me that" I shouted.
he took a step back fear in his eyes.
"you dare disrespect one of the hidden children. Do you know what we are capable of? "Mattheo spoke up.
"s-sorry, I didn't m-mean too," Crabbe stuttered.
"leave him, Mattheo. He's really not worth it. what a waste of good blood," I said. "we should go to the great hall. Draco should be there."
"yes, princess," Mattheo said.
"See that, Crabbe, the right way to address the hidden children," Pansy said as we walked out of the common room, the rest of Slytherin house mindlessly following.
"I love being me," I said.
"Yh, we literally rule Slytherin. Everyone here will do exactly what we say, "Mattheo replied.
