It was christmas break, Remus and Sirius decided to spend it at Hogwarts this year rather than at James’ house. They were eating dinner silently, Remus reading a book. The dining hall was completely empty that night. Everything was so peaceful. Sirius began to softly hum as he ate.
“Is that Queen?” Remus asked, a slight hint of disgust in his voice.
“Indeed it is, Moony” Replied Sirius.
”I hate queen”
”What?! Who doesn’t like Queen?”
“Me. Now be quiet. This is the good part.” He gestures to his book and keeps reading. To his dismay, Sirius resumed humming the same tune. “I thought I told you to stop that!” Remus said, trying to hide the grin on his face. Sirius just grinned even wider and began to get up and sing.
Ooh, love, ooh, loverboy
What’re you doin’ tonight
Hey, boy
Sirius is now climbing on top of the table, singing and dancing. Remus is trying to suppress his laughter. His heart might just burst. Sirius has begun to leap from table to table, singing wildly.
Ooh, let me feel your heartbeat
(Grow faster, faster)
Ooh, can you feel my love heat?
Come and sit on my hot-seat of love
And tell me how do you feel right after all
”You’re a lunatic, Black!” Remus is yelling.
”Come dance with me Moons!” Sirius grabs him by the hands and pulls him up to the table. Soon enough, they’re both singing and dancing together.
I’d like for you and I to go romancing
Say the word, your wish is my command
Sirius is holding Remus’ hand, twirling him around and around.
Ooh, love, ooh, loverboy
What’re you doin’ tonight?
Hey, boy
Everything’s all right, just hold on tight
That’s because I’m a good old-fashioned loverboy
When the song finishes, they both fall to their knees on the table, both from dizziness and laughter. “And you say you don’t like Queen,” Sirius can just manage to say before bursting into another fit of giggles. When they finally stop laughing, Remus softly brushed his lips over Sirius’s and he can feel him smile on his face.
“I love you, Moony,” Sirius whispers.
“I love you too, Pads.”
And in that moment, everything seemed perfect.
